Bill's in Nottingham

Not the cheapest but food really tasty & varied. Decor is lovely & the staff are very attentive & friendly. Wide brunch menu. Probably need to book as it gets very busy

Reasonable on everything. Just didn't stand out. We prefer a burger you can get medium rare but understand that Bill's can't accommodate it.

Service was brilliant and quick, the lady was very welcoming also. Food was 10/10 tasted so fresh and had loads of flavour. My friend and I shared the buttermilk burger and chicken shawarma which both were to die for!!! The hummus side was such a great portion compared to what you’d get in most places and the dumplings where great too 100% recommend, will definitely be going back 🙌🏽

Good food although the service was a bit slow

Came here for a special occasion recently, and everything was perfect. Food was immaculate, highly recommend the seafood linguine, and they even offered to give me a free dessert/drink for my birthday. The service was immaculate, I was served by Deborah, and they were very friendly, ensuring I would have a pleasant stay throughout my time there.

Had a couple of lovely brunches here over a long weekend in Nottingham. The food and service was really good.

We went on a rainy Sunday... Had to queue a little bit outside before getting in. It was extremely busy and almost all tables were taken. A lovely lady greeted us upon arrival and found a table to sit. The place is family orientated, a lot of kiddies :) lovely design. Homie industrial i would say :))) food was amazing! Huge portions and fair price. We waited around 10-15 minutes for food to be served. Asked for extra maple syrup for our pancakes! One of us ordered a full english breakfast and another one pancakes. We asked not adding a black pudding to the order and the waitress offered something extra adding instead. The coffee was good, but not amazing :) they had no caramel syrup for it :)) only vanilla. :) on the whole it was great experience with very tasty food ❤️ would definitely visit again. Good for the price. We paid around £30 for 2 huge plates and 2 coffees! ❤️

First opportunity to visit Bills in Nottingham, sadly not the best experience. Staff were friendly and attentive but the food was bland to awful. The venue looks great but not the best place to eat.

Amazing food, very good service and the atmosphere is modern and cozy.

When we arrived we were given a table instantly, even though it was busy. The food was really nice and tasty for the price. We didn’t realise that a 12.5% charge was added for a service charge. This can be taken off if you ask your waiter. The staff were really friendly and our food came really quick. Will be coming back again.

Went to day for brunch which we enjoyed but i do believe you should be made aware of the service charge which at£19 41p on our bill was a lot certainly should be told before hand not read it after we have paid it therefore puts you off tipping the staff who do a great job and i do wonder if the staff dont receive any of it then why is it on thats the only issue that we had

Sometimes I really don’t get Trip Advisor and how it works. How on earth can Bills be higher on the ratings than Iberico??? Pure madness! We ate at both places today and the breakfast at Bills was luke warm to say the least. Blatantly everything is pre-cooked and kept warm. When my husband mentioned that his breakfast was barely warm, he received a very luke warm apology. I definitely don’t think it was worth the £13-£14!!!!! When we paid the bill, we were not asked about the “optional” 12% tip. I would have marked lower but the coffee was good and even though the staff not particularly sorry about the tepid food, they were friendly.

So impressed with Bill’s Nottingham. First dinner out with our newly diagnosed 17 yr old coeliac son and was nervous about his options and range of food. On the internet it looked minimal. Couldn’t have been more wrong! The staff were clearly geared up to helping people with allergies but in a relaxed confident way that didn’t feel like ‘an issue’. He was given a gluten free menu with plenty of options, that took away the worry of ordering something incorrect. All our plates of food were delicious, starter, main and pudding. All the staff were delightful and helpful. Could not have wished for better service. Will revisit again. Highly impressed with Bills, it means a lot to people with fiddly dietary needs, thank you for getting it just right.

Very beautiful building, a place worth traveling to

Food was basic to say the least . We were not informed by the waitress when we arrived that it was card payment only . We left our money but then had the manager moaning that he would have to pay on his card and keep the cash ! All a bit embarrassing . It is written in small print on the email which we missed but nothing from the staff or nothing on the tables to inform you before ordering . We left promptly and will never go back .

Always a great place to go and great menu with nice service.

Amazing macaroni cheese as always. Wish it was available as a full meal all the time not just lunch. Salad has simple but really good dressing. So full that we didn’t even get to the extra chips we ordered. Went on a week day without a booking so we were fit in but would advise on weekends to book ahead as they get busy

1st time at Bill's but will definitely be returning......the food was amazing, the staff couldn't do enough for you, the atmosphere was perfect.

This restaurant is great for lunch and the burgers are actually amazing gets a bit busy and would recommend booking in advance but is definitely worth it for the food

As it was Mother’s Day, I decided to book a special breakfast for myself and my daughter. We arrived slightly early, but the friendly welcoming staff allowed us to be seated at our table straight away. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was calm and enjoyable. The staff made us feel very welcome and to top it off I was given a free glass of Prosecco for Mother’s Day! Thank you for helping to start my Mother’s Day and make it special!

Great chicken berger and chips.

Was very disappointed. Food was very basic. Luke warm chips. Hot honey chicken burger was tough and greasy. Service charge is optional good job really. Staff wasn't the most helpful and made a rude comment after asking how the food was.

Nice atmosphere. Despite being a busy Saturday lunchtime we were served promptly. Food really nice. Will visit again next time in Nottingham. Visiting friends in the area.

Came here with a friend on a busy Friday evening, staff were very friendly and found us a table. We had the white calamari which were nice, and the profiteroles which were very delicious! Definitely recommend trying them.

We went for breakfast before we started Christmas shopping. The portions where huge and the food was delicious. Charming place and staff were busy but friendly. Quick service and the place was busy. Would go again.

The service was overall unmatched, had a lovely attentive waitress called eden who made our experience so special. Me and my wife went for our 20th anniversary and had the bottomless pancakes. We had high expectations as my daughter told me they were incredible, safe to ay it exceeded all our expectations. We demolished three plates happily with such a speedy service. The service was what made our anniversary meal truly special, she’s was so polite.

We both had one of the best meals we have had ever. The place staff and food were A1 will be going again.

My friends and I went yesterday in the Nottingham location around 10 am for breakfast. Food was good and the atmosphere was good as well. The issue arose when we got the bill. Firstly a warning to all - the restaurant adds 12.5% optional service charge to your bill, therefore your bill for your food is in small faint letters, whilst the surcharges are in bold. Anyway we decided to pay for the food we had so our table decided to split. When we said how much each of us will pay the waitress pointed out that “the last person has to pay more to cover the rest of the bill”. Therefore that the restaurant had an expectation to pay the optional surcharge bill. Don’t get me wrong, service was not bad, I would rate it around 3.5 stars but it is getting 1, because of the rude expectation to pay 12.5% on top of the bill, and trying to shame you if you opt out of it.

The food was ok , luke warm and average. Staff was friendly and attentive. Ordered a large breakfast and wouldn't order one again. Toilets needed cleaning.

Fabulous place. The food is exceptional with the wide choice. The service is 100% and the staff are very accommodating one of my favourite places to dine in Nottingham.

At the end of a very long fundraising walk, Bills was the perfect place to relax, eat delicious food and celebrate our achievements. Everything was arranged to perfection and our dogs would have been welcome too if they hadn't crashed to sleep!

Moreover, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure that my dining experience was a pleasant one. Their knowledge of the menu and their willingness to accommodate dietary preferences added to the overall satisfaction.

Overated evening dining...Attractive decor, acceptable customer servic and friendly waiting staff, food is ok however every time I've visited I've been disappointed with how limited the menu is which seems to be the same complaint from other people I know who have visited, we also hate the added service charge feature as I like to tip off my own back and avoid the embarrassment of having to ask the wating staff to remove and amend (this usually results in me choosing NOT to tip because time has been spent amending a receipt and offense has already been caused!!)...also seating/tables needs some spacial revision because feels as if you are either crammed in or tucked away in a corner...only reason I'd visit in future is to try out the breakfast menu whilst using the outside seating

I am myself I’m a very picky eater, so I ordered a kids chicken strips and got told I cannot be served the kids food as I’m over 12 years old, I don’t understand why it was such a big issue as I’m paying for the portion size I get, The waiters and waitresses were very polite, but the manager was extremely rude and refused to come over to the table, except for when she brought the drinks over and slammed them down on the table that the coffee overspilled. The food was delicious, but the service was appalling.

We had a wonderful breakfast here and was served by Lee who was lovely and friendly. I would definitely recommend Bills.

Fantastic service, came in with our 2 month baby. We were offered a few tables around the restaurant and it just made us feel really at ease. They also offered to move tables so we had plenty of room with our pram. Our stater came out within a few minutes, really lovely and fresh calamari. Mains were only a couple of minutes and again everything tasted really fresh. All staff were really lovely and extremely considerate especially when we had a baby with us. Will definitely return next time we’re in Nottingham.

The chipotle mayo was very good, and the food arrived very quickly. The starters were very good, particularly the labneh, chicken dumplings and calamari. Service was good, we were served by Lee, who was very attentive.

Charlotte and Lee were amazing and very friendly. I’m so sorry for the amount of pancakes we ordered and sincerely hope we don’t put you out of business xx

Visited a few weeks for Sunday brunch. It was very busy but we managed to get a table. I had Bills Big Brunch and it was very tasty! Good service, only one small complaint that a friends eggs Benedict could have been warmer!

We had a fabulous time at our daughters birthday celebrations. A party of 14 of us enjoyed well cooked, well presented meals from friendly welcoming staff. It was a fantastic atmosphere.

Delicious food, lots of small plates. I had crispy duck served in lettuce cups, flat bread and vegan burger for my daughter 😋 only thing I would say is a optional surcharge is placed on the bill at 12.5 percent, so no need to tip. They also offer 20 percent student discount.

Lovely meal will definitely come again just think the service charge should be your choice,the steak was a little fatty but so tasty and the wife’s chicken burger was tasty as hell,but the flower pot pudding was out of this world a must have 10/10

Dined here recently with friends for a 3-course set Christmas lunch. None of the more affordable wines from the menu were available. My prawn cocktail starter had a total of two prawns in it. However, it came with a miscellaneous black wiry fibre around 20cm long buried in the sauce that I could have easily choked on. When I pointed this out to the waitress she shrugged and said, "Well, it's not my hair." At no point did anyone suggest it was hair?! No accountability, no apology, no F's given...then came my "pancetta-wrapped turkey" main which turned out to be two minuscule balls of stuffing wrapped in thin dry layers of turkey and pancetta so overcooked that they were inedible. When the bill came we were charged in full, despite the appalling food. When I refused to pay the service charge on top of this the waitress gave me a blank stare. I left feeling disrespected, hungry, and ripped off. I'll swerve Bills next Christmas, thanks.

Don't bother trying to book a table. You can't do it over the phone, and you have to leave credit card details on a website and app that doesn't work. Try somewhere else that makes it easy to spend you money there

Lovely meal and dessert. Lots of vegan options too. Only gripe is that we were sat at a high oval table and bench had no foot rests so had dangly legs. Everything else was great

I am a customer in the establishment on 23 Dec 2023, ordering breakfast. Pro: you are probably going to be amazed by the decoration in the establishment Cons: 1. It is overpriced. You can get better breakfast/brunch elsewhere at cheaper price 2. The service is lacklustre, I feel particularly offended when I asked for sugar for my tea and the waitress replied of course but she passed it to the gentlemen beside me. The waitress probably also not to eager to work in my opinion because it is the day before Christmas Eve, also I don’t feel welcomed at all. 3. Thirdly, there is a service charge, optional of course, I just like to make sure the people who go there for the first time be aware of this. It is 12.5% Overall, not great in term of service and food, you are only there for the atmosphere. I hope the establishment sees this review and seriously provide better service to the customer if you want to earn that 12.5% service charge. I will not be recommending this place to my friends anytime soon. Thank you.

Great place, we dropped in for a quick drink as a break from Christmas shopping, we had a Flatbread to nibble on with our wine. It was very nice.
