Charlie's Celtic Tavern in Pembrokeshire

We had a lovely Sunday dinner today for my mum's 70th birthday - the team gave us the separate room with a long table away from the rest of the restaurant so we could enjoy ourselves without disturbing others. The service was excellent, couldn't fault it. The food came out all together and very quickly and the waiters and waitresses went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The food itself was 10/10 - really tasty and good portions. Parking wasn't a problem and the restaurant interior was stunning - we loved the upside down cow hanging from the ceiling! Couldn't recommend enough, thank you all for a lovely day!

What a fabulous place! Decor is incredibly cool and quirky - the more you look the better it gets. So much choice at the bar, food menu had a good number of options. Food was tasty and came out in a timely manner, servers were attentive and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend!

Visited for a works Christmas Dinner with approximately 50 of us. We'll organised with little name cards handed out on arrival with our menu choices to remind us and assist serving staff. Service was prompt & efficient, and food was very tasty.

Today we purchased a caravan on Noble Court Caravan park. We visited Charlie’s Tavern to have a celebratory mocktail and order some lunch. The Sunday lunch was easily the nicest we have ever tasted. Service was excellent, staff were polite, ample food and it tasted incredible. I’m not sure if I am more happy about purchasing a caravan or the fact that I get to have lunch here every Sunday ! 🤣🥰

Beautifully eccentric decor, great atmosphere, super helpful staff, dog friendly, and superb food. Genuinely one of the best meals I’ve ever tasted and the surprise highlight of our week in Wales.

What a feast for the eyes as well as the tummy. Lots of interesting curios to look at. Clean, modern with old world charm as well. The food was excellent too.

Last night we had a a get together with former work colleagues about 27 of us in number. When trying to organise the ' get together ' the staff couldn't have been more helpful from Billy the bar manager along with the Chef and the other staff.We had fabulous meals ,served by welcoming staff. It was a great night made even better by attentive staff and good food Thank you Diane

Delicious lunch, love the decor, chairs are so comfy. Friendly atmosphere.

Unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience. Our server seemed disinterested and when asked to provide a cocktail menu was very reluctant to do so. When we ordered our main meals my partner asked for a steak which comes with your choice of potatoes. She did not ask how he would like the steak cooked nor did she ask what potatoes he would like. I had to tell her as she walked away which she didn’t seem pleased about. We were excited about the food but both of us ended up being quite poorly from the meals I had the lamb shank and had to actually go to the bathroom twice during my meal to vomit which can be seen on cctv if staff don’t believe this. It’s a shame because the site the restaurant is located on was lovely and we had a wonderful stay but on our last night this really just let it down.

enjoyable meal with friends .lovely clean restaurant. table setting smart. food nice and hot and well presented. staff friendly nothing to much trouble for them .will recommend to others.

Ignore the bad reviews we had a lovely meal and the staff was very friendly 😊 would definitely recommend the cocktails are amazing don't be put off with the bad reviews this place deserves 5 stars

Eaten here a few times in the last few months including Sunday lunch. Decor is something else…very different but lovely! Staff always welcoming (mostly young men) polite and friendly. Food has always been of a high standard and reasonably priced. Oooh and beautiful wine glasses!

Visited today for Sunday lunch as we are staying on site. Really impressed with the decor and friendly staff. Our server who took our order was more than happy to offer extra bits for my mum who doesn't like veg and even for me to have stuffing even though I had the beef. We didn't once have to look around wondering where our food was, service was very quick. The starters were beautiful, the mini loaf as a bread roll with my soup was a lovely touch. The mains were beautiful with great portions, vegetables cooked perfectly and loads of meat. Dessert was lovely though the fruit was a bit too pureed for our liking (apple and rhubarb crumble) Would definitely visit here again, their daily menu looks fantastic.

Family of 6 had a very nice meal here one evening while staying in one of the safari tents on the site. The place is very clean and well looked after with attentive friendly staff. The food was all served fresh and excellent portion sizes. Would throughly recommend if you are staying on the site or nearby.

Had a voucher given to me for my birthday, so 3 of us went for afternoon tea yesterday at the Celtic Tavern. We had the gin afternoon tea proceeded by some prosecco. Nice spacey table and the tea was probably the best afternoon tea we've ever had. Beating a nearby fine dining establishment's afternoon tea hands down. Good mix and balance of savoury and sweet treats, Only criticism, and that is the homemade delicious scones were too small for the amount of clotted cream and jam given. The crispy and warm scotch egg was delicious as too the homemade flaky sausage roll. Service was friendly and fantastic, and made for a very enjoyable afternoon. We will certainly be doing again.

We booked into Charlies for a Sunday lunch, and I'm so glad we did. We had heard that the food was good, the staff friendly and the decor eclectic. All of the above is true, the giraffe in the foyer, the cow hanging upside down over the bar , the stunning wallpaper and colourful birds all add to the ambience. It's all really well done. The food itself was excellent, I'd say book in for the Sunday Roast as the restaurant is used by locals as well as those staying on site, so in the season it must be really busy. Well cooked, well presented and a team that are really good at customer service, clearly well picked by owners. Well done, we will be back when we are next in Narberth.

We have eaten here on three occasions for Sunday lunch. The last time with the Christmas Menu. The food is first class. The service is superb. A little gem has started up in Narberth and the normal Sunday lunch menu is reasonably priced. This is why we have eaten three times in the last month here.
