Hotel was very good but Jazz one of the concierge’s, totally made my stay PERFECT. He made suggestions every night for a restaurant and suggestions of things to do each day. He was spot on. Every restaurant was great and in a reasonable price range. His suggestions for things to do was also extremely good. If for no other reason, stay at the Intercontinental, to get Jazz’s advice.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the winter terrace, The lunch before the winter wonderland was beautiful and relaxing, we loved our server The host Mirko and Orlando were very friendly and attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be going back. Mulled wine and lobster salad were exceptional.

This was our first visit since a three year hiatus caused by Covid and we were nervous that the wonderful Intercontinental of old might not be quite the same. We need not have worried it was like coming home, we had a warm welcome a smooth and charming check in and a lovely room with a great view over Hyde Park. Our favourite place in the hotel is the club lounge on the seventh floor and we were initially disappointed that with the single exception of Luis all our old friends from previous days had moved on. Luis is exceptional, always a smile on his face and he even remembered our breakfast preferences after the three year break, outstanding. The new team headed by Jayne soon dispelled our initial disappointment at not seeing old friends. Apart from Jayne herself a big thank you to Raphaële, Anna, Sasha, Nicole and everyone who made such a fuss of us and contributed to a lovely weekend. I must also pay tribute to the Intercontinental HR department will clearly have an exceptional selection ,recruitment and training program to achieve such a consistently high level of service.

Poor! Definitely not a 5 star experience. Very over priced for what it is. Old and small rooms charging over £300 a night. Poor breakfast (hardly any selection) and the waiters were terrible at listening to orders. Most of us had mistakes in our orders. The best thing was the coco pops. Also facilities weren’t working. No spa gym facilities open, so why are you charging full price? Seems fraudulent under to consumer goods act to misrepresent services available. Won’t be back. Real shame as I am a IHG member as well

Second time back to this haven and seriously considering making it a monthly staple diet. Welcomed with a glass of bubbly and fresh fruit, we wait no longer than 5 minutes to be escorted to our suite for the steam temple experience. The ambient music, aromatic steam and gentle lighting sets the mood. Smothering ourselves with ample portions of laid out face and body clay, we settle down to 45 minutes of total relaxation surrendering ourselves to the steam. Be prepared for the warm shower at the end and for your skin to feel just like a baby’s!! After our experience we were able to sit down to a glass of bubbly and fresh fruit - before departing to go downstairs to the bar for amazing cocktails. The spa personnel were kind, welcoming and so helpful. I will definitely return for more treatments. 😊

Although the Intercontinental hotel is a 4.5 and is very luxurious, having high tea there today, was a disappointment. The service was terrible. We had to ask the servers repeatedly to bring out the food. Having been to high tea in other London hotels, the Intercontinental hotel was overpriced at £65 per person! If you are in London, avoid the Intercontinental Hotel.

Before I comment on the tea in self, I must say that the service was excellent!! This was our Christmas treat. The Wellington room was comfortable and the staff were superb. However, we were not that impressed with the food. Everything looked great but we did not like the cakes. Far too rich and it would have been better to have a proper cake. The scones and the sandwiches were OK. The actual tea on offer and the champagne were probably the best part. Not a disaster but not as exciting as I had hoped.

We zijn een weekend heerlijk in het Intercontinental Park Lane geweest en waren zeer aangenaam verrast. We werden bijzonder prettig en warm verwelkomd! Onze kamer was in één woord fantastisch. Went with a friend to learn how to make negronis... Very friendly and knowledgeable sommelier (who also knew a lot about gin etc) talked through the ingredients and we sampled a couple of the classic negroni, then another type (with Prosecco). He talked about the different brands of gins, vermouth and bitters and these were available to smell, so that we could make our choice. He then helped us to select the components for our own individual negroni and we made it (and drank it!)There were only 7 people attending the master class (about 1.5 hours) so we got lots of individual attention. Delicious small plates were provided too - courgette frites, bruschetta, olives, nuts etc.It was fun and I would definitely go to another of these.

Went there as the menu sounded really nice and thought it was afternoon tea, Upon arrival sat in a seater that was like sitting in the floor so asked to move and was moved to a proper table. Then the food started to arrive with an explanation after every dish and every coffee. Food was ok and just about ok but coffee was far to strong except for the Latte which was served in something like a thimble. For £42.00 per person this was far the most expensive tea I have ever had and would of preferred a sand inch from Greggs as probably nicer and cheaper. Glad I done this but would never go back again as for the price and what you get served....... a waste of money. Bill for two came to £102 even though I booked through a website that said £29,40 per person

The hotel lobby was always busy and crowded, find a way to keep the hotel guests comfortable enough to pass by the lobby and not always tense and pushing through to get to the elevators, on that point the elevators were always occupied and it took us more than 10 minutes wait, 2 of the elevators were broken for the whole stay which is not convenient based on the season! Hotel security is poor, to order something from the restaurant or the concierge or Butler I’d have to remind them more than once and it takes them an hour and more to get back to you! I’ve been staying here every time I go to london but finally this year I decided this is my last time! The hotel’s bathroom lights are so cheap my skin always gets irritated whenever I use the bathroom because of the cheap quality! I don’t think it’s convenient that it’s a 5 stars hotel, I didn’t get treated like it. Oh and I forgot to mention the shortage in staff! the housekeeping cannot speak English! The brunch is superb, but what makes this experience more special is the level of service. Our waiter was called Dimitri and was so attentive for the 3 or so hours we were there. My wife is pregnant and they couldn't do enough to make sure she was comfortable and happy. Making lovely non alcoholic drinks for her. As I was drinking prosecco for two now my glass was always being topped up, 'oh go on, one more' I'd say. The manager came over to make sure we had a great time and said he looks forward to welcoming our baby in the future as he said that's his future customers. The food was superb, discovered a new way to have my egg in the morning and with lashings of hollandaise sauce it was lovely. Main course and all the other food areas were superb. Although for some £55 might be expensive it's seriously good value, so much quality food, prosecco, amazing service, lovely puddings, and teas and coffees makes £55 an absolute bargain. Would definitely visit again.

Hubby and I booked Sunday brunch and we're looking forward to seeing if London has quite got its head around luxury 5* buffet dining. We booked it on Sunday as it also included Sunday roast. Pros: excellent and attentive service as one would expect from 5*. Though one waitress couldn't decide whether to change my cutlery - so actually I have got better service at chinese all you can eats on an average high street. Free flowing prosecco - which is good if you are a big drinker and seemed like most people were there for that. Good desserts.Cons: very limited choice given what is advertised and the cost. The food counters themselves are very small and limited range - I expected it to be a lux breakfast buffet-plus but disappointed with the ice cold eggs benedict and what was essentially a salad bar. A few guests seemed very unaware of any type of etiquette - I saw at least one woman lick her fingers in between using the serving spoons and picking up food with their fingers only to put the item back (!!!!)Overall unfortunately it did not meet expectations as we have had so many lovely buffet meals (breakfasts and dinners) elsewhere in the world, for instance Hong Kong where the choices are so much greater, cleaner and more luxurious. Good attempt by IC London but I do not think London has "got" the concept....

I booked a weekend away to stay at this lovely hotel and I was not disappointed!!.After looking on various websites I decided to book this hotel for a two night stay with breakfast included. Our room was on the 7th floor as we were kindly upgraded and it had lots of windows overlooking Hyde park. There was a small entrance hallway to the room with wardrobes on the left hand side followed by a very nice bathroom with two large mirrors plus a small mirror. Perfect for getting ready !!. There was also a large mirror in the hallway which was very useful. The view from our bedroom was lovely especially as the it had been a lovely sunny day and we could watch the sunset. The bed was comfortable and there was a very nice television on the wall along with a Bose system. We were fortunate to be upgraded!!.The breakfast the next morning was very nice with plenty of choice for everyone. There was a chef making a variety of omelettes whilst you wait and also a variety of cereals, breads and hot and cold food. The choice was excellent!!. We sat in the side room area where our order for hot drinks and also juice was taken. The staff were very attentive and we could have not asked for more. After our evening out on the Saturday we popped in to the bar for cocktails where again the staff were very helpful with our choice of drinks. We shared a sandwich which was delicious and some crisps and olives were served as well.On the Saturday morning on returning from breakfast there was a slice of Birthday cake for my husband. All in all a lovely weekend and I must say all of the staff from reception to the porters were extremely helpful and efficient.

All I'll say is avoid it - I feel so sorry for tourists who are drawn into the trap of this voraciously greedy and uncaring establishment who offer sub-standard service and are driven by profit alone. Pablo and team - you really need to hang your heads in shame. Read my review of your New Year's Day Brunch and tell me we don't deserve a full refund. What you've offered is an inconvenience for us - not recompense for ripping us off.

Simply superb! From start to finish, my partner & I enjoyed her birthday treat of a Royal Afternoon Tea in the Wellington Lounge.A very friendly welcome was found at this elegant and spotlessly clean and tidy hotel, particularly in the tea room area. We were mainly attended to by Stefan, who really was most polite and attentive in a very relaxed but professional manner. There is a good choice of teas (or coffees) available, with a whole teapot of fresh tea - no single tea bags here! Then a beautiful cake stand of a selection of 4-types of finger sanwiches was served, including: lobster & shrimp (absolutely delicious - we had 'seconds'!), ham & mustard, smoked salmon & cream cheese, egg & cress (on carrot bread) and coronation chicken with curry mayonnaise. Everything was explained, nothing heavy or stodgy, all light and delicious. The cakes to follow were preceded by delicate scones (buttermilk & fruit) with clotted cream & strawberry jam. So we took our time before starting on the beautiful cake selection, which was based on the theme of The Queen's garden party, with such delights shaped as a crown, handbag, hat and sundae. These were: chocolate coated coffee & walnut cake, a vanilla mousse on a biscuit base covered in a strawberry jelly, a sponge with apricot jam dipped in Pimms and covered in royal icing, (based on Battenberg) and a champagne jelly with gooseberry compote and meringue!! Well. What more can I say, other than what we couldn't eat, they allowed us to put in a box to take home! The waiter even softly sang 'Happy Birthday' to my partner on presenting her with a further, small chocolate dessert decorated birthday cake with named piping. Extraordinary detail.Fantastic. The best cream tea that we've ever had. Go, try, enjoy!Thank you, Stefan and the staff at the Wellington Lounge at the Hotel Intercontinental.

Once again, we all felt like regular visitors at this hotel. I enjoy everything about it; staff, rooms, location, bar, dining, etc... You can literally stay the whole day in the hotel but you're in London so, get out and see this beautiful city. The hotel is a short walk to Hyde Park Corner tube station and a good 10 to 15 minute walk from Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square.

Unbeatable brunch. It is pricey but includes unlimited food and free flowing bubbles so as a treat it is good. Wonderful choice of food from eggs royale, pancakes and waffles to a very fresh salad bar, including sushi, to main courses and finally deserts. Excellent quality and tasty. Good service as well. Currently in a different venue, namely part of the Theo Randall dining room, it did get very noisy (probably due to free flowing bubbles) but a great atmosphere. Currently recovering from over indulgence.

Park Lane, Passion fruit belini's, prosecco flowing throughout the meal. Glasses topped up as soon as empty by attentive waiting staff. Fresh fruit, salads, sushi, smoked salmon, tuna, prawns cocktail sauces, olives, breads, croissants, omelettes, eggs benedict (that was the only disappointment for me)Freshly carved beef or lamb, yorks puds, roast potatoes, veg, gravy or you could have fish to order.Deserts to die for, so many to choose from, have one of each or even two of each.WoW. It is a great choice, but it comes at a price of almost £65 including the compulsory service charge. We thought it was worth it, every penny.Would love to try again when the cookbook location is re-opened.

Oh my God! I know you're thinking almost £60 is a lot for any kind of food, I was thinking the same but it was my dad's birthday and wanted to do something special so why not?I was wrong. This place is food heaven. The pancakes/waffles/eggs made to order are to die for. The cold salad bar is amazing (food for all tastes). The mains are delicious and extremely well presented and I didn't try any of the little cakes for dessert that I didn't love.It was 5 of us eating that day and we all agreed the restaurant is one of the best we have ever tried. I can't recommend it enough.Also... non stop flowing prosecco from a super attentive staff. They didn't let us finish one glass when it was already topped up. Same with the post food coffees and teas.As I said. Amazing place!

We visited The Cookbook Cafe last weekend for Sunday brunch. I am not a fan of buffets but this was not just any buffet. The choice was amazing and all tasted so great. The salads choice were amazing with each one tasting fresh and different. The quality of the roast meat was exceptional. Even my fussy 6 year old found things he liked and could not stop going back for more. The service was great with drinks being constantly served and delivered. We would defiantly go back for a special occasion.

My friend and I decided to try the Intercon for brunch on bank holiday Sunday as we've both lived in the Middle East and love the brunches there. I've been to the several times before brunch when it was in the Cookbook Cafe and enjoyed it immensely but didn't find the same enjoyment this time round. The main let down was the service. Yes the restaurant was busy but it seemed that the waiting staff had not been given clear direction over which tables were in their area. We were sat with dirty plates on the table for a while and didn't drinks top ups didn't seem to happen as swiftly as other times I've been-perhaps because the bellinis had to be brought from the kitchen. We had to ask, rather than being asked, for many things. The hot food station only had two people working it, which meant that queues built up as either eggs or meat had to be waited for.For the price we paid for the Sunday brunch, we expected a lot better. Food was good but there was limited choice, particularly for vegetarians.I do believe this could be an excellent brunch, but for now I won't be returning in the near future.

We went for Sunday Brunch to celebrate our anniversary with our daughters. The first thing we did was check the dessert buffet (as you do!) and we all decided that white chocolate mousse was our first choice. The waitress service was excellent and very attentive. After our mains (various salads, waffles, pancakes, eggs, carvery), we asked a waitress to point out the white chocolate mousse and red velvet cake (there was a slate menu board with all the desserts on), she said she'd go to the kitchen and get some. Meanwhile the Maitre'd came over and he pointed out the red velvet cake - which wasn't red velvet cake and as none of the desserts had name plates or signage there was a lot of guess work going on. The pastry chef eventually came out and apologised as they hadn't updated the menu board and there was no white chocolate mousse or red velvet cake. Clearly after stuffing our faces this wasn't the end of the world, but I think a restaurant of this calibre should be more on the ball, all staff should know what the food is and boards updated daily. On checking our bill we had to point out that our youngest was 15 and therefore not full price, but the waitress wasn't fully aware of the charging policy. To summarise very lovely setting, very lovely food but in future I'll stick with The Grove Sunday buffet as its a similar price but with way more choice and variety.

Visited on Friday evening at 6pm. We had 3 course set menu with free flowing prosecco (for 1.5 hours) for £39 each. We were the only people in the restaurant which made it very special. The prosecco was delicious and the waiter very efficient at keeping glasses topped up without being intrusive. The food was absolutely stunning, just the right amount in terms of volume especially as there were 3 courses. There were supplement charges for some items on the menu but we didn't choose these.I would highly recommend eating here if you get chance!

Had a great Sunday lunch here today - great food, loads of Prosecco and Belini's and good service throughout. It's £59 a head so not cheap but with up to 2 hours of food and drink of high quality then it's not bad value. The starters are basically salads, cold meats, smoked fish selection and sashimi - all good and had to go back twice!Mains were medium rare beef, slow cooked lamb, duck in cherry sauce and a seafood selection in a white wine sauce. All were great and very filling! Desserts were small single portions so 2 or 3 fitted on a plate nicely. They were great with bringing drinks when the glasses were empty.

We were attending a concert in Hyde Park so the Cookbook Café was the ideal location. Fabulous setting with a huge choice of food for all tastes; all beautifully presented and, where possible, sustainably or locally sourced. Very relaxed warm and friendly atmosphere from all the staff. The unlimited Prosecco or Bellini's were a real treat and gave the whole a event a real sense of a special occasion. All the food was of the highest quality and absolutely delicious. A great venue to indulge in a long brunch with friends for a treat, or just because it's Sunday! The only negative was the insistence that they applied the late cancellation fee to one of our party who was taken ill during the night before, despite the rest of us (3) attending. I thought this was a little mean and took the edge of what was otherwise a perfect visit. Having said that I would go again.

I'll be totally honest, I was attracted to their deal; 3 courses and free flowing Prosecco for £39. But what we were served, combined with the service and atmosphere made it a dire experience and firmly worth avoiding in my view. The restaurant is located in the Park Lane Hilton. I've previously dined here at Theo Randall and it was excellent. I had high hopes. The restaurant itself looks firmly like it belongs in a hotel. It looks like an average hotel breakfast buffet room. I personally didn't notice any cookbooks, but allegedly this is the theme. It feels soulless, there was no music playing and we were sat next to a loud and rowdy table of 12 or so. We asked to move. We were told this wasn't possible. No reason given. I ordered a lamb starter. Dire; covered in a nasty fatty membrane, lukewarm and in unidentifiable sauce. My lamb main was rack on beans. I've never seen so many flavourless beans in my entire life. The rack (3 bits) was incredibly pink and in my view verging on the raw. The beans totally lacked flavour, were undesirably al dente and really didn't "work" with the lamb. Desert was an attempt at a chocolate mousse cake; oddly flavourless and tasteless. All in all the food was pretty poor. At no stage did anyone ask how it was and so we remained British about the whole thing and simply hoped for better times. The service throughout was haphazard. Repeatedly requesting drinks that were ordered, requesting steak knives that never materialised or additional condiments. Service didn't flow and totally lacked any sort of preempt. However the worst part of the meal was at the end. Our desert plates has been on the table for a seemingly infinite amount of time. We weren't offered coffee and so fed up were we, we got up to pay. The manager asked if everything was OK. I relied it really wasn't. Totally ignoring me, he began processing my credit card. An error occurred with the machine requiring five minutes of rummaging through draws. Eventually the card machine was working again. A second manager had joined us. We were again asked if everything was OK. I replied that everything was far from OK and I wasn't happy. Incredibly, again I was totally ignored and simply handed my credit card receipt. I was totally stunned. I had remarked (in a self effacing British way) that everything was far from fine, twice and got roundly ignored. The above is totally unacceptable. I can only assume that the idea with this joint is to get people in with cheap booze offers and chuck em out again. As a Hilton Hotel user, the above has totally put me off the brand; I can only hope their restaurant operations are outsourced. Overall, this is a place to avoid no matter how much Prosecco you are laced with. Dire.

I came here on Saturday with a group of friends for the bottomless brunch. At a price of £52 per person, we decided to treat this as a special occasion following my friends job promotion and me completing the LDN marathon. I found the staff to be friendly but they did appear slightly understaffed. There were two guys doing the eggs/pancakes station, and at one point, there were about 12 people waiting to be served. We didn't get a chance to have the mains as the waitress told us that the whole table had to order mains (only two out of five, wanted the mains). I was a bit annoyed as it meant we couldn't have it... Surely it was better that two of us have the mains, rather than five and lots go to waste? The desserts was delicious and replenished quickly - I couldn't fault that. The food I had was lovely as well. I am not sure I would visit here again on a Saturday. My friend that recommended this place, has always been on a Sunday, so perhaps I would try that next time.
