Amazing cocktails and cheese board. Thanks to the staff again for being so attentive once more.

I have always been impressed when we have had lunch or dinner at Crollas but this time we held my mums wake here. The staff were wonderful, very considerate and caring towards us. They made us all feel very welcome. The food served was amazing and many guests commented on the varied selection and how tasty it was. They were also willing to accommodate more people who turned up than expected. It was such a relaxed environment and exactly what we needed during such a difficult day. We can't thank them enough for giving my mum such a wonderful send off!

Visited during a work event day out and was unaware there was a restaurant in this location. Crolla's is off the beaten track of Musselburgh town centre and I wouldn't be aware of a restaurant where it's situated. It was booked for our work day out hence the visit. It's a nice place, food and service good and didn't disappoint. I had pepperoni and mushroom pizza, I'm not keen on Italian style pizza with the larger crust, however this is personal preference and nothing wrong with it. The topping was tasty but I do wish I had chosen the pasta as others looked nice. Dessert was pistachio cheesecake as pictured and very tasty. Our waitress was great and joined in with the fun of one of our crowd also making sure we were fine for anything required. I'm not from the area or I'd visit again, however now I know it's here would book if in the area again.

Came for New Year’s Eve meal with some family. Food was good, staff were attentive, but man, you’ve got to address your alcohol prices. £12.80 for half a glass of red wine and some lemonade, £13 for a white wine…..if you suffer from Coeliac disease expect to be penalised and pay more for your food. It’s a shame that the star system only allows ratings for Food, Service and Atmosphere. I think one should be created for ‘Prices’ as well. It’s only Musselburgh not Edinburgh. Also, this automatically adding a service charge to a bill is a bit presumptive of your service. Customers need to have the choice of what to leave….this isn't America !

Dropped in for lunch on a whim. Decor was pleasant with Italian song being played. Service was attentive, uniformed and friendly. Pizzas all round but honestly, although the toppings were tasty, the bases were too thin so we're overcooked and tough. The serrated knives should have been my warning sign. Ice creams for desert, very nice. Overall, I felt the food wasn't anything special and overpriced for what we had.

What wonderful staff this restaurant has. When I ordered prosecco they asked what the occasion was and I mentioned that it was my birthday. When our dessert arrived they'd turned mine into a little birthday celebration complete with music. This was totally unsolicited and a wonderful gesture! The maitre d' also noticed my daughter struggling to open the hand wipe after dealing with a langoustine and came straight over to help her, again without being asked. This was all absolutely 5 star service! The food itself was delicious, the lamb special I had was sublime and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her seafood pasta. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough!

Been here a few times and food and service great. On this occasion we were extremely irritated by the constant loud whistling coming from the kitchen. It drove us demented and was happening the entire time we were there. Made the visit not very enjoyable for us and we left with headaches. Has put me off ever returning.

I don't usually eat Italian food, so this was a new experience for me. I liked the family kitchen atmosphere that the Italians are famous for. I am sure that I will be back.

Still good Italian cooking. Remarkable staff. Took my young nephew into kitchen and arranged for him to make own pizza!! We got him back grinning😑. The exterior now sports an elegant integrated sculptured parasol. The simple glass and wood restaurant interior with near perfect acoustics now with descrete "shinny mobius strip" pendant lights complementing that original interior design.

Great bar choices as you enter the bar area, awaiting your table. As we were seated, it was no hassle to relocate us (due to an issues with my mates hearing) to another table... Great attention to detail by the staff. Food and drink were amazing, but as everywhere else, it comes, at a cost, mostly due to our large drinks bill... 😁 Quality over cost as the food was reasonably priced Thank you guys & gals

I've been here 5 or 6 times now the food is great the service is friendly and my kids love the musseles and calamari.

We have became regulars over the past 18 months and many will think we are probably biased now but honestly….. It’s always such a great experience. The staff always fuss over us and make sure we are ok. They are attentive and ensure our glasses are always topped up. The food is delicious, never ever had a complaint, even when it’s clear the restaurant is busy and the staff are rushed off their feet, we are always treated amazingly. We met the owners on this visit which was really nice. Such a lovely couple. The head chef also came out to greet us on this occasion where we thanked him for such a beautiful meal. All the staff are fantastic. A really great team. We will be back.

Delicious food in a beautiful restaurant. The staff were lovely with my little boy- it's a great restaurant for a special family meal as you are made to feel very welcome with children. The cheesecake is my particular recommendation, different flavours every time and always delicious!

I dined there this evening with friends. The menu was a great variety of food. My small appetite wasn’t reflective of the food I ordered, with ordering more than I was able to eat also the portions were very good. There was more than enough for a leftovers bag to take home. The quality of the food, service, choice and venue was faultless. Well done.

Crollas is well loved by our family. Staff are always welcoming and friendly and everything is cooked from scratch, freshly made.

Overall a nice meal but nothing to rave about. It was for a special birthday so was a bit disappointed. A few of us had pizza which wasn't sliced and very hard to cut as base was over cooked and the crust pretty solid. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly and they put up some birthday decorations for us but on the downside they weren't set up at the table when we arrived so we had to wait in the bar. The amount of time it took though for them to take our order of drinks and then food was ridiculous. After quite a while we had to ask to order. About £25 for their cheapest bottle of wine I thought was pretty expensive too. Best thing about it was the staff.

The best Italian restaurant ive been so far. The food is amazing and the service cant get any better. We had a shared plate of cured meats and two pizzas, four cheeses and padana. 10/10 😌❤️

On holiday in the area and not been in Musselburgh for over 3 years and didn’t know this place existed. What a lovely find. From the wonderful building it is in, the amazing staff, unfortunately I don’t know their names but the Tunisian waiter and Ukrainian waitress who both were so attentive and friendly to the great food. The Padena pizza and salad were perfect. Would definitely go again and recommend.

Brilliant service! Kept talking to us while waited on meal and he wasn’t even server he was bar man, said he had made a cocktail and we tried it, it was amazing think his name was Dylan.

My friend and I had dinner here and it was beautiful. Lovely restaurant,lovely staff and the food was amazing! I had a seafood pizza and polenta chips which I thoroughly enjoyed and my friend had lasagne which she said was really nice if a bit big. We had a really nice time and will go back for sure.

I went to crollas for a birthday dinner with my family and I honestly can't fault it. The staff were very attentive. Our waitress Julie was lovely. We were taken to our table immediately and she explained the specials and checked up on our table throughout the night to ensure all was well. The other waiter, Majid was also very nice and made us feel extremely welcome. The staff were also very good with any food allergies at our table. The food itself was amazing. The bruscetta, carbonara, Bolognese and margherita we ordered were delicious! We couldve eaten them twice if we hadn't been so full (from the very big portions). We couldn't handle desserts but the waiting staff brought out a lemon pie and sang happy birthday (so we managed to squeeze that in). The restaurant itself is very smart and has a lovely set up. All in all, Crollas is an extremely welcoming restaurant, with delicious food and fantastic staff (and great cocktails also). We immediately recommended to our friends.

Dined here last night with the family for my birthday, absolutely superb! Service impeccable and the food was delicious. Great selection of gins and spirits too. Had the Mussels to start with - huge portion followed by seafood pasta both beautifully cooked. All our party had a blast ,staff couldn't be more accommodating, would strongly recommend.

Excellent 'old school' Italian food with a modern flare and ambiance.

Food was delicious with generous portions for each course - the seafood platter can easily be shared between 3 if you have starters. The service was attentive without being obtrusive.

Nestled near to the banks of the River Esk in the fishing town of Musselburgh, East Lothian, Corolla's Kitchen serves some of the best Italian food on the East Coast. Superb service from friendly staff and competitive prices for great food. Fantastic atmosphere in the beautiful historic building. Excellent coffee of course.

Lovely place and very attentive staff. Starters were lovely. However we both had steaks for the main course and were very disappointed in them. They really need to change suppliers if this is a typical offering. Cooked to perfection and well seasoned but poor quality meat. The food coming out the kitchen looked and smelt delicious. I wish we had chosen something different. Our experience could have been so much better.

Nice atmosphere and the location was lovely. The food was a little on the expensive side and unfortunately, I personally didn't think it was worth it. The seafood wasn't particularly fresh.

We have now visited this restaurant 5 times and each time has been a fantastic experience. The staff are friendly and go the extra mile to ensure you’re satisfied. Service is quick, food is fantastic, the chef has also coke out to ask how our food is on two occasions which I think is fantastic. The waiters and waitresses are very polite. The restaurant manager has fantastic customer service skills. Keep up the good work and we will see you again at the end of the month.

Visited this evening for drinks and dinner as a group of 6 for one party members 30th birthday and had a perfect experience from start to finish. First off, the atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely. It feels upmarket and fancy but also homely and warm. I’ve been to restaurants that have struggled to find a harmony between the two but not this place, 10/10 We were greeted and served all evening by 2 members of staff, Olenna and Majid (apologies if they are spelled incorrectly) who could not have been more attentive, professional and friendly. They attended to our every need (and there were a lot) with a smile and went above and beyond from beginning to end. They’re both a real credit to their restaurant. The food was, again, flawless. Every party member was thoroughly satisfied with their meals and had nothing but compliments for the presentation, taste and serving time. I had the Diavola pizza which was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten, and my partner was equally impressed with her beautiful mushroom risotto. One of our party members failed to notify the waiting staff that they were allergic to nuts and accidentally ordered something that had pesto (that has pine nuts in it) on it. It was entirely our mistake but not only did they take the dish away and replace it with one without pesto, the chef himself came out and done so, and apologised for it despite it being our mistake. An absolute touch of class from the chef and the restaurant that did not go unnoticed or unthanked . I would find it hard to overstate how excellent this restaurant is in every aspect. All party members have said they cannot wait to return which we all definitely will. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

This is a lovely restaurant tucked away in its peaceful courtyard. The food and service were very good. The only reason for the 4 stars is I thought it a touch expensive. However, that should not put you off from a lovely dining experience.

My wife and I went here for a birthday meal and we were both underwhelmed. The staff were friendly and the prices were fine overall, although £18 for a risotto seems expensive. The food was OK but nothing special. The risotto was fine but the penne wasn't any better than a homemade pasta bake. The worst part was one of the chefs constantly whistling really loudly, which is like nails down a chalkboard for me.

We’ve been to this restaurant lots of times but today there were only five tables occupied and the constant whistling gave me a headache. The food was okay but the prices for the set lunch have recently increased by £4.00 and a bottle of Rose’...

The food was incredible.. I ate Spaghetti a Carbonara, and my daughter a kids pizza.. For desert we had some beautiful ice cream. I do recommend this place...

An attractive spot for lunch, welcoming and efficient waiting staff, a very good menu choice and extremely good value lunch (although the wine is on the expensive side). Recommended, especially as there doesn’t seem to be anywhere else to eat well in Musselburgh.
