Ordered a Panang, short, rib curry, a king, prawn pad, Thai, a vegan, curry, and a chicken green Thai curry with jasmine rice. So fresh, so delicious, could not have replicated it myself. Will go there again and again again and again, highly recommend Get your order in

This is a desperately needed addition to the Bristol food scene, fire Thai street food, don't usually care much about the veggies in these dishes but they cooked them to perfection Crispy chicken cashew was insane, ribs were insane, kra pow was also banging If I could make one suggestion it would be amazing to have minced beef kra pow, but I was spoilt for choice regardless 10/10 will be back 👌

Very bland even the chillies were tasteless. Arrived crushed. Second time I’ve ordered it, thought I would give it a second chance and it was possibly worse than the first and wildly overpriced.

Absolutely the best Thai I have had in Bristol, the team obviously have taken a lot of time to think about all the details right down to the boxes they use. When ordering I thought it was expensive but when it tastes this good it's cheap!! We will be using this as our go to from now on!!

Very disappointed to see them microwave my chicken, not what you want from a highly rated and not cheap establishment! They also didn't put the lid on one of my dishes properly, and I got covered in oily sauce

Food was ready quickly but the food is not authentic Thai food at all. Very bland and tasteless and also very over priced for what you get. Had to add my own seasoning. The noodles were also all broken into little pieces. Had high hopes but was disappointed

One of the top 5 Thai food I had in the UK.

The prawn massaman was delicious but the sticky rice was quite literally inedible. Like I actually couldn’t get my teeth through it, you’d need a hammer and chisel to get some pieces off to eat and even then you’d likely lose a tooth. Not quite sure what happened there!? The spring roll was also very greasy and had mainly mushrooms in.

Guys your food is soo soo good, a bit pricey, but I don’t mind paying for quality. However the guy who’s took our orders could do with a lesson in manors, and customer service!

Great flavours, really fresh and bright - exactly what I look for in good Thai food. Portion sizes were pretty massive. Really like that they use quality meat from a decent Bristol butcher (Popti & Beast). Really happy to have found a Thai restaurant that's a cut above the standard takeaway fare. Oh, and the takeaway stuff is sustainably packaged which is always a plus!

The best takeaway me and my partner ever had, ordered on Uber and it was well packaged, came hot, big portions and soooo tasty, had leftovers the next morning and still beautiful! I don't often leave reviews but this was beautiful! Coconut rice actually tasted like coconut 🥥 yum. Thank you

My partner and I have ordered from here multiple times, and we have ordered the same thing each time because it is always amazing! Beef short rib massaman curry, drunken noodles medium with crispy chicken and jasmine rice. Since ordering here we have stopped ordering from our normal Chinese and Indian and it has become out take away of choice. Cannot recommend enough.

Absolutely outstanding! The best Thai takeaway I think by far! Everything down to the coconut rice was so flavourful. Very big portions too. If you order from The Gorilla Thai kitchen you won’t regret it. Very happy full customers :).

As a repeat customer, I can say these people work very hard and keep high standards of quality. For this style of food, it is the best I’ve found in Bristol, even better than any sit down Thai restaurant in the city. They are helpful towards dietary requirements, I can’t eat dairy or gluten. They gave me duck instead of prawns in my last order but I forgive them because all the meat is good. I recommend saving on Uber fees and ordering through the restaurant directly/on website. Very impressed and appreciative of the service. I wish more places put in the same effort. 👏

Delicious Thai food in generous portions. Our order was ready before estimated time so they called to say we could pick up earlier and everything is in recyclable containers. App was easy to use, so much flexibility with the menu. We will definitely order again!

We got this as a treat on a Sunday, we had the spring rolls which were massive and well filled, the BBQ ribs which fell off the bone, the duck fried rice which we weren't overly keen on (personal taste) and the drunken noodle which was perfectly spicy and had a crunchy chicken throughout! Lovely flavors and fast delivery - only thing i would say is that it is very pricey for a take away, on uber eats it came to around £50 for 2 of us for 4 dishes, when you compare this to most thai a take aways its pretty hefty!

Ordered the pad thai with prawns, was absolutely delicious. You could tell the king prawns were high quality, which is always a plus. Rapid service, and delicious, will definitely visit again and try some other items on the menu!

Disappointing. Chicken satay was tasty and a generous portion. The end! Green curry was far too mild and boring. The noodles were really greasy, tom yum was weird, didn't have the fragrance you normally get from lemongrass/lime leaves etc. Tasted really odd, not like any I've eaten before. Was not a fan of cauliflower in it either. The whole meal was way too expensive and a bit of a let down.

Never provide utensils (Not just once) even when I specified it in the note of an Uber Eat delivery order, where I have even made a call to the restaurant requiring for a fork and a knife. I got to eat with my hands eventually! And the food is just okay while pricing so high

I really wanted thai after a long work day, and ordered on deliveroo. I was thinking it was a bit expensive at £23 for a prawn pad thai and some ribs, but when it arrived there was enough for 2 hungry people and three only ordinarily hungry women (me, basically - it was three meals for me!) It was REALLY good food, and because of the size actually much better value than I expected. Will definitely order again.

We used Gorilla Kitchen , for a Muay Thai and and Kickboxing event we held in April 23 2022 in Bristol. They delivered and meet the brief which was asked of them, severing 500 plus attendants vegetarian, meat and vegan options at the event. PCT Gym and Warrior Heart Promotions Would highly recommend Gorilla Thai for business and outdoor cratering events.

I had a Gorilla takeaway and was blown away. Starting with the spring rolls, that are made fresh everyday!! I now know I have never had a fresh spring roll. The meal only continued getting better, no corners cut and everymouth full was the best Thai food I had tried. Will Deffo order again.

I've ordered from Gorilla Thai quite a few times before and it tends to be really good. However my order this evening (same as I normally get: coconut rice and Thai Green curry) is awful. It took an hour to arrive and the rice is solid and chewy like it has been undercooked first then badly reheated, the curry is extremely watery, the veg is chewy and squeaky and the chicken used is bad quality cuts of meat and again tastes like it has been reheated. It might be a one off because they are busy but it is so terrible I don't think I will ever order food here again. I just wanted to update to say that following this review and a complaint submitted via Uber the customer service of Gorilla Thai and UberEats has been really good to help to resolve my issue. I appreciate the attempts to rectify what happened and my refund (I have changed my review from a 1* to a 3* due to this great service). Hopefully it was just a one off!

I wouldnt call it authentic Thai but it’s pretty decent. Quite disappointed the Tom yum soup didn’t arrive. We ordered crispy chicken with cashew it tastes ok! Red curry is good! It’s a bit too sweet for me. I can tell the seasoning has been adjusted for local taste.

Really brilliant Thai food. We enjoyed the Larb Chicken, Massaman Curry, Pad Kee Mao, Pad Thai plus steamed rice and vegetable spring rolls. Bill came to £63 and was plenty for three of us.

Been working in Bristol for nearly 2 years as a contractor. Living off takeaways this by far the best takeaway I have been to. Food is bursting with flavour and they do tofu. Cooked in front of you too.

I am so dissatisfied with the service I have received. I placed my order at 19.10 and they said it would be 40 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant to pick it up to hear it would be another 20-30 minutes so I waited in the car. I came back in after 30 minutes only to then be told it would probably be another hour. I had to cancel my order as I’d be waiting far too long. How can one small order take over 2 hours! Such terrible service and no apology. I won’t be ordering from here again. I know it is Saturday night which will be busy, but be honest with your customers about how long orders will take and don’t take orders if you can’t fulfil them.

Still waiting for my food 2.5hrs later after ordering. I love this place but the service is very very poor. Lack of consideration does not make up for the quality of food. No one at gorilla Thai seems to care, I don’t feel like a valued customer.

Outstanding Thai food. Some of the best we’ve had. Very fragrant and full of fresh vegetables. However it’s expensive and for the price the dishes contain little meat, which was a shame. We discussed this as a family and as a result it made the Gorilla Thai somewhere we’d use rarely, rather than a regular treat.

Ordered beef massaman. Lacks all of the flavour and aromatics that should be in a massaman. Its more like weak penang curry. The meat is clearly "slow cooked" on its own so that it can be chucked in any of their sauces at the last minute. The result of this is really dry chewy beef that's cut into large cubes and therefore not pleasant to eat. Some reviewers who claim this is authentic clearly have no idea. Or perhaps they sent me the Penang curry instead?? To top all of this off the rice I ordered with it did not come and when I rang the restaurant to complain they were not helpful at all. How can you be happy spending so much on a bad curry that then comes without rice? Some of the dishes were quite good but to be honest this has been a very bad experience for me all round......
