Excellent authentic Italian food.

Visited on Mother’s Day. They had a special Italian menu for the lunch. Also, Sunday lunch was available. Place was full. Ofcourse, service will comprise. Garlic bread with cheese and onion topping, the beef gravy and the Yorkshire pudding were the highlights. Good coffee too. On a nice sunny day,looking out on to the Tyne must be a feast to the eyes. Plenty of parking too. Need to go back to experience the full menu. Will return. Yes. We did go back on a good day. Very pleasant experience it was. The beef pasta was very nice. Ordered the garlic bread again!! As good as it was before. Ok Cheerful staff too. Bought some nduga sauce to take back home. It was yummy, if you can bear the spice level.

Nice location looking out over the river, lovely clean place, friendly staff were great, food looked amazing and seemed to be cooked well but unfortunately everything seemed to lack seasoning and flavour, quite underwhelming especially considering how expensive it is now. Would also just like to add that they still do that thing of decorating the edge of your plate with balsamic glaze so you (I) end up with it on your (my) hands and cutlery etc, something i find a bit pointless and annoying as you can probably tell 😆 . If this review was based only on food it would be a very average 3 star, but everything else about the place was great.

Great little Sicilian cafe. Good quality food and service. We'll be back☺️ Just wish that the breakfast was available until 12:30, we went on a day that was dank and damp, so a breakfast would have been perfect.

What a wonderful place. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The place is dog friendly but we sat outside. The outside area is so clean and has a lovely view of the tyne. The toilets inside were clean and well stocked. It was absolutely packed inside with all the tables full. We did find out you can book if you want to guarantee a table. The food was absolutely beautiful. They were more than happy to tweak the recipe for me as I wanted a slight variation of what was on the menu. The coffee was fantastic. I would 100% return ! Hidden gem.

Found this place by accident and so pleased we went in ! Had a lunch tuna sandwich with homemade chips and garlic dip! Lovely coffee! Will go back 😀Dog friendly 🐕

Brilliant place if you want good food and a lovely coffee

Delicious food, very tasty and good-sized portions. Very reasonably priced. We were lucky that we managed to get a table for lunch as it can get quite busy! I'd suggest calling to book ahead if there are a few of you! The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a really nice atmosphere.

Had a fabulous Sunday Lunch. Recommend the porchetta. My wife had chicken fungi. Delicious. Salted caramel cheesecake for dessert. Treat yourself and give it a try 😀

Love it here. Went for breakfast on a rare midweek day off with the hubby. Food was delicious and service fab. Now it's been extended its even better x

First visit today small but nicely decorated. Young waiter was very welcoming and attentive. Good lunch menu with plenty of choices. We ordered penned vegetarian paste and linguine amatracine and a side salad. The pasta was nicely cooked and the tomato sauce well seasoned. We also ordered two glasses of merlot. The bill came under £40. Will be returning soon

Great place that's recently been extended. My parents have been here a few times and it was a first time for me. Pasta was excellent and good portions. I had Canelloni spinach ricotta which was really nice and good portion. The pizza garlic bread with tomato was fantastic and loved the soft crust

Previously, they were 5 stars: delicious coffee, wonderful cheesecake, and I enjoyed my time very much. Thank you New star 1 and a lot of them: Everything has changed, even the honesty. The cheesecake was regular and the coffee brought us hot water and we refused it and he said to change it and he brought a decorative one. Why do you expect? Thank you, but the pizza looks delicious and I will not return

Really great authentic Italian cafe.

Absolutely gorgeous Sunday roast. Melt in the mouth roast beef and crispy belly of pork stuffed with luscious force meat, both served with seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes and mash, and plenty of gravy. Recommend 100%.

One of my favourite Italian restaurants. We had a lovely walk along the quayside today and called into Liosi’s for lunch. I had a Liosi’s pizza and my daughter had the carbonara. Both were gorgeous, generous helpings and delicious. My pizza had chicken wrapped in Palma ham which was succulent and very tasty. Can’t fault the food or service and it’s dog friendly too which is an added bonus.

Absolutely stunning (for the eyes and the stomach) plates of Italian cuisine, best Italian I've tasted since my visit to Sardinia in March (or anywhere in Newcastle, if not the UK! ). Must try their specials (only offer on Thur-Sat), coz they are truly special! Proper Italian chefs, a real gem not to be missed.

Stunning cafe/ restaurant right on the riverside. Superbly authentic

Been wanting to try here for years and wasn't disappointed, the food was excellent. We had a sunday dinner with porchetta and the Chicken Pesto Pistachio. Both were fantastic but the Tiramisu was the best thing we had, lush.

An excellent authentic, intimate Italian café. I didn't eat here, but the food looked very good and I will be going back to try. Coffees were unreal, without doubt the best cappuccino I've ever had.

A hidden gem of an italian cafe. The food is out of this world. Real italian cuisine. Staff are friendly and helpful. I love sitting on the terrace overlooking the Tyne. It's a piece of Italy just a stones throw from Newcastle.

We had some guests from USA staying at the Copthorn Hotel. We decided to try Liolis on Newcastle Business Park after reading some good reviews. We were not disappointed, as this is a cracking little cafe on the banks of the Tyne. The English breakfast is a combination of quality and quantity. Trust me you won’t be eating lunch after this hearty serving . The food was served with freshly baked bread . My only gripe was the tea was very weak . All in all a super cafe with outside tables looking out on the river .

Such a gem. I got introduced to this place around a year ago and I'm so glad I did! The food is 10/10 (the hot chicken sandwiches are my fave- sorry I don't know what they're actually called!) and the staff are all so lovely and welcoming 😊 Also the best coffee you can get in the area in my opinion 😋

Decent little cafe bar next to the river Tyne. Has a very italian vibe, the food was nice - would be great to come here and have drinks and food then a stroll along to the quayside. The sandwiches and churros looked nice so may have to call in to try them another time.

This restaurant is amazing, love the place, we go all the time for lunch. On a nice day you can sit outside and eat overlooking the river. You should try the Chicken Millanese, its delicious 😋

After being to Newcastle Restaurant which was excellent I was very disappointed in the food here. The fritto misto calamari was cool and chewy and the Caesar salad very basic - breaded(!?!) chicken on salad leaves with a small amount of dressing. My Tricolore salad was well presented but the mozzarella was too cold. Perhaps it's best to stick to pasta, pizza (looked great!) and sandwiches during a busy lunchtime!

Poached eggs over done, but we love Liosi's and special place it is.

Another beautiful meal here tonight, the meat and cheese sharing platter for 4 of us was excellent, and our main courses were just as good. Particularly my Linguine alla Scoglio 👌 Lovely service. Never fails to impress. Thank you.

Little Italian gem I found during lock down. Came back for a coffee and biscotti today as i was passing. Lots of actual Italians and locals mixing. It was raining outside so inside seating was full. Lots of conversations and good atmosphere. Good views of the Tyne at the fairly quiet location. No WiFi???

Friendly, authentic, rustic delight! Flavours were gorgeous! A real delight and a proper gem. Nice spot along Tyne but enough out of the way to be away from riff raff. Gets busy but a nice crowd. Went at 2pm on a Sat. Perfect timing as it busied up but was lovely on so many levels. Planning our return!

Great food, coffee and cafe. Excellent outdoor views. Music on the speakers a tad loud inside, takes your ears off and can't hear other persons across table. But they turn it down if you ask. Other shop on Savile place is very good

Decent menu, generally pleasant staff, food served quickly. This visit garlic bread, seafood risotto and a pasta dish with spicy sausage, washed down with soft drinks. Used to be regular visitors, not so much now.

We found this cafe by chance during a short trip to Newcastle. We were welcomed in by the friendly staff and offered a table on the terrace. The breakfast food choice was very good and we chose some hot sandwiches and hot drinks. Both were excellent! The rolls were very unusual but very tasty. They seemed to have some type of Sicilian/Italian flavour to them. All in all, a fantastic little place in an unusual location. We’d love to return!!

Outstanding food freshly cooked, from an extensive menu, with friendly staff. I had been recommended this restaurant by a friend and am so glad I tried it. Our pizza, risottos and sea bass were all lovely meals.

A little gem on the banks of the Tyne. We had a great brunch, perfect eggs florentine and veggie pan haggerty, proper decent coffee and great service from the lovely Conseula. We will be back!

Service was fantastic, atmosphere was that of a friendly buzz and food was superb. The garlic bread and tomato pizza for starters was one of the best we've had in a long time. Food was fresh and quickly served. Staff were welcoming and attentive without being overly intrusive. A perfect balance. Most definitely a hidden gem on the Tyne waterfront and one I would genuinely recommend. It's cozy, compact, and full of positive vibes. Give it a go and you won't be disappointed.

We just pop up for coffee for take away. I usually drink soya but they have only oats milk however coffee was amazing and give me so energy for rest of the day. The owner lady so cheerful make us feel so welcome. We will back for food one day, 100% 😍

Went for breakfast with friends we had eggs Benedict, eggs Florentine and a bacon bun, the poached eggs were perfect the bread was beautiful not your normal sliced a lovely Focaccia bread nice change. Service was nice pleasant staff plenty of seating but it wasn’t exactly hot or warm particularly. Will definitely be back to try lunch maybe next time.

First visit to this café bar. The food was amazing. I had the prawn and scallop ravioli in a piquant cherry tomato sauce, just outstanding. Their chips are homemade and the tomato garlic bread was a culinary delight. We had no room for dessert, so ordered ours to take away. The café is dog friendly and the toilets immaculate. The staff were friendly, and knowledgeable. If you want authentic Sicilian food ,this is the place to come.

Overpriced for take away coffee due to their service and etc without stand price listed for. Thank you for your reply, Sebastiano Liosi. I ordered an iced white Americano, never said shaker ice latte and only saw the price for the Americano on the price board, which is £2.50 without mentioning the extra charge for ice and extra service. At least, I never paid £1.50 more for a takeaway Iced white Americano elsewhere. Don't worry. I'll use somewhere else that values customers. :)
