Maison Bleue in Edinburgh, City of

Vi var i området og bestemte oss for å prøve restauranten etter å ha sett positive anmeldelser på Tripadvisor. Da vi kom inn, la vi merke til at restauranten ikke var veldig full. Vi vurderte å ta en rask titt på spiseområdet før vi ble stoppet av en servitør. Dessverre virket tonen litt nedlatende, og til tross for at vi tydelig ønsket å spise der, følte vi oss ikke helt velkomne. Etter å ha uttrykt ønsket vårt om å få et bord, ble vi henvist til et mindre bord ved restauranten. Ene servitøren tildelte oss menyer, men ene menyen vi fikk var for kveldsmenyen, noe som medførte litt forrvirring da vi skulle plassere vår bestilling. Jeg bestilte meg en løksuppe, og i tillegg bestilte vi kaffe: en mocha og en latte. Løksuppen ble servert relativt raskt, noe vi syns var veldig positivt. Løksuppen var veldig god, har ingenting å utsette på den. Kaffen derimot måtte vi vente lengre på. Da jeg hadde gjort meg ferdig med løksuppen, fikk vi huket tak i ene servitøren og spurte om å bare betale rett og slett. Først da innså servitøren at kaffen aldri ble servert. Vi fikk tilbudt kaffen gratis, men takket pent nei. Dette er sikkert en bra restaurant, da dette gjenspeiles i tidligere anmeldelser. Maten var god, men servicen kunne nok kanskje vært litt bedre. Mulig dette bare er det litt dårlige første inntrykket som satt preg på hele opplevelsen.

Ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant. Die Einrichtung ist typisch französisch, Holztische, Holzstühle, alle etwas unterschiedlich. Das macht die Atmosphäre sehr familiär und locker. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und ohne viel Schnickschnack. Wir hatten Muscheln und Curry und Pork und alles war lecker. Die Bedienungen waren ausgesprochen freundlich und herzlich.

We Had the most amazing birthday lunch at this restaurant! The building is fabulous and very chic thorough out. Staff were very attentive and informative about the menu. Three of us went for dinner last night before the tattoo.. My two friends are ill today , both had the mussels to start. The food was awful, we ordered mussels and bruschetta to start then 2 chicken curries and a veggie one. The curry was more like soup and I had to use a spoon to eat it.
