Must see! Spirit of Nepal is brought to Derby. Good food choice. Excellent service. As an interesting fact, during our visit we didn't see many guests, however few people came to make arrangements for big parties (catering outside). All those people came from recommendations. For me it is the best sign of the food quality and prices. We will revisit on the nearest opportunity 🙏

Hidden gem in Derby. Traditional Nepalese food served by Nepali people. Very tasty and generous portions for both starters and mains. I’d definitely recommend it!

Small, open plan restaurant with slightly tired decor but serving amazing food at a reasonable price. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Were also able to seat a large group of us earlier than our reservation time. Large portions of delicious food. Would recommend.

Used to eat here often while working in Derby. A few years later and now living here discovered they have a delivery service. The food is still delicious, very tasty. Enjoy trying the different meals. So much choice. Delivery always correct, on time, freshly cooked, piping hot and delivered with a smile. Very pleased and have no need to look anywhere else for this type of food. Thank you.

It wasn't bad and I like to try new restaurants I always read reviews before I go to any restaurant and I looked it they all said the food was "delicious" so I went to that restaurant with my family, the waiters were friendly and nice we ate some foods and it was good but my family were saying it's bad, well I liked it but my family did not, I recommend this restaurant the foods are delicious but I had some problem with parking. Yea that's all . . _

Suresh and his team made us feel very welcomed. Interesting blend of spices which added an extra dimension to our food. They still offer 10% off on take away and free home delivery which helps in these uncertain times. Thank you for serving us along with service to the British army. A honour and pleasure.

On 2nd October upon recommendation I ordered food from here for the first time and I have to say recieved the worst possible customer service. My order arrived later than expected and when it did the food was not very hot and items missing. When I rang the restaurant and explained my order was incomplete and nan breads missing I was told unfortunately our driver is really busy but will be with you shortly. 1 hour later I rang back and was told our driver is no longer available. I asked for a full refund as firstly my food was cold and secondly items missing. It's like ordering fish and chips and you don't get the chips. I was told the manager is unavailable but they will give me a call back to issue a refund. Since then I have rang numerous times and been told the same thing and not once has the manager rang me back, issued me an apology or processed my refund. I think it is extremely bad customer service and secondly terrible taking my payment, not providing me what I ordered, no refund and not even any attempt to discuss my bad experience or resolve this issue. My first experience has not been the best and I think it is appalling how I've been treated.

The food was tasty and service was good, the waiter was always nice and available. Nevertheless I couldn’t help but notice that the entries plate seemed “reused”: it looked like someone had dipped something in it before. Overall dinner was good but that threw off the experience.

Attended for a friends birthday party and wow what a pleasant surprise. The mixed grill for starters was delicious, the mains were also very good and the service was impeccable. Radtha the owner was very attentive and also very helpful. Will be coming back soon, great tasty food.

First time visit to this restaurant, and boy was I impressed. Excellent tasty food, feels like the ingredients are sourced well and gives the fresh taste to the food. The mixed starter is a recommended choice for starters, and this gives you excellent way of what's to come taste wise for your main meal which did not disappoint in any way. Service fast , and very good ambience inside , very nice people in the restaurant eating , no people ruining the atmosphere, even though this was a Saturday night!!!!!! The only minor point was that the furniture as you enter could be replaced as it's looking tired, but please believe me this did not detract from an excellent restaurant it is and I will be returning as soon as I possibly can. Would recommend 100 per cent.

Stumbled across this restaurant whilst trying to decide which Indian restaurant to go to. The food was amazing we tried some Nepalese dishes that we had never tried and they were fantastic. So tasty and huge portions.

After excusing ourselves from a recommended restaurant, having sat down and viewed the prices, our party of four discovered that Indian Restaurant prices in the Midlands Road area where unusually high - don't get me wrong, the expensive contemporary decor was very nice and I'm sure the food would probably match, BUT, in excess of £20 for chicken tikka masala!? Then we discovered this gem of a restaurant round the corner in London Road. Wow, the food was absolutely out of this world and at very acceptable prices. Five stars are not enough, highly recommend.

Amazing, phenomenal flavours. Absolutely superb in every way. The service was equally as brilliant and more than accommodated any of our requests. I really can't speak anymore highly of Mt Everest and will be a must frequent whenever we visit Derby. Well done guys.

The food was DELICIOUS, service very friendly - the staff even went out and bought a cake after me telling them that it was my partner’s birthday! They did this completely unprompted and really made his birthday. Would recommend 100%

My favourite ghurka restaurant, its rarely crowded which is a shame as it deserves more customers, service can be a bit slow at times but that just means their paying attention to your meal, everything is perfectly cooked and plentiful, lots of dishes to choose from wonderful staff. Highly recommended

I went with a group for a friends birthday. I had honestly never even thought about Nepalese food before and so went in a little blind with absolutely zero expectations. But the food was incredible. We had starters and mains as well as a few beers. It wasn't too spicy and it was full of flavour. And the customer service was great. We only had 1 issue but it was quickly resolved. It was also very fairly priced. I would definitely consider going back again.

Placed my order, good came out pretty sharpish, I was most disappointed with the grunt that was made in my direction a the good was dumped on the table? Regardless of how the food tastes, with customer service like that its left a bitter taste before its on the plate!

4 off us came here to eat, 2 off us came down with food poisoning. Male toilets an absolute disgrace, water puddles on floor and around toilet, unclean and zero maintenance. Staircase leading to toilets unclean and poor maintenance. If I had inspected these things before dining here never would have gone further but straight back out. So going by this and no recent food hygiene rating past 2018 and my friend n me getting sick what can I say. No way will we we be coming back here!

The cuisine here is always very fresh, hot, tasty and well prepared. Have all the usual curry house favourites but take the time to explore the Nepalese delicacies and be amazed. Excellent top notch food.

Food took well over an hour to be delivered last night and was stone cold when recieved. Also asked for a mild chicken curry and the curry recieved had enough spices to keep your heart going another decade.

Massively impressed with this meal, not ordered a take away from here before, but I 100% will again, big portions and very polite well dressed delivery driver.

From Leicester which is renowned for its Indian cuisine. Went to Everest for a meal with friends and I've got to say its was 10/10. Food was extremely tasty and freshly cooked. Meat was really tender everything nicely spiced and well presented. Service was exceptional staff were really attentive and on the ball. Was blown away by the whole experience and would highly recommend.

We've visited many times in the past but never left a review and finally felt compelled to. The food is always fantastic and tonight was no exception, in fact the best we've had. The food really does the talking here and is really authentic and high quality. Absolutely fantastic place

The food was fantastic. Unfortunately, the owner/manager is anything but. We ordered our meal via the website and paid by card, then we waited for delivery, the time for delivery came and went, we rang them, only to be told there was no driver, and there was no record of our order and then he promptly hung up. So, we had to get into the car and go down to the restaurant [we had spent £70!]. The manager was somewhat obtuse with us and avoided answering our questions, but we finally sorted out the issue, receiving a 20% discount. As we sat and waited for our food, staff were bringing out bags of food that were then put in taxis for delivery!!! I am appalled by the attitude of the manager/owner who didn't seem to think there was a problem, I believe we were given a 20% discount to shut us up as the restaurant was full. When we got home we found that our order was missing items... There was no discernible social distancing in place either.

All the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. They have a large menu and has a variety of delicious meals. I ordered the tandoori chicken, egg fried rice and garlic naan, and it was all gorgeous. It was presented well and the large portion meant that I had leftovers for tomorrow. Would definitely recommend this.

Had a takeaway tonight, the chilli paneer was fantastic - very soft paneer, lovely peppers and onions, all with a good spicing, it was a beautiful ‘hot spicy’ dish. The lamb butuwa was excellent too, as was the egg fried rice and garlic naan. The owners are always very welcoming and polite. Great restaurant, highly recommended. The price is very good value.

Food was really good and very tasty. We ordered 5 mains alongside several sides. Unfortunately one dish arrived cold and another with a hair in. We mentioned this to the staff and they were very attentive in rectifying this and did not charge us, and we were very grateful for this. They were slow with service, but they only had one member of staff for 9 full tables so that was to be expected. It does not have that attentiveness you want from an Indian, as we ended up having to walk around the restaurant looking to pay! However, the food for me really does overlook these cons as it was so tasty and well cooked.

Food arrived at some point two and a half hours after ordering. Not sure when as we gave up waiting and went out.Driver called blaming his sat nav: Apparently, we lived in a field. Thanks Mount Everest for your utter incompetence. No idea what the food is like as we didn't get it. Rated one star because can't give a zero. Only saving grace is that we didn't pay up front.

My colleagues had mentioned Everest on many occasions and the good food / service. So finally got to eat here today... my colleagues reviews were spot on. Enjoyed the food, cant argue on quality, quantity and price. Looking forward to the next visit

Its a while since I have been in Derby however last November I stayed for one night. After a tough day I decided a couple of beers and a curry was in order. I chose the Mount Everest Gurkha Restaurant based on a couple of verbal praises and reviews on trip adviser. I certainly wasn't disappointed, refreshing Cobra beer served cool, but the food simply amazing even though I had a table for one and the restaurant was busy service was excellent. The food was tasty and certainly plentiful, I will definitely be back here in the coming months. Excellent choice.

Situated on London Road close to the railway station and around 15 minutes walk from the bus station. The menu is extensive with plenty of Nepalese specialities plus a good range of Indian favourites, I would definitely recommend trying Nepalese. A reasonable range of beers and wines are offered too.Our food was delicious, with good flavours but not too spicy, and generous portions. Service was friendly and helpful. We felt our meal was excellent value.

Probably not in an ideal location, but plenty of street parking around. Four of us celebrating a birthday all had differant meals. Beginning with starters, mains and a couple of set menu sweets. Service was slower than I like, but offset by perfect food.
