This restaurant is amazing! Food is great, Staff are wonderful & the atmosphere is lovely. Had a meal for 15 people including little people & the staff were fantastic with the wee ones. My husband had a great 70th birthday! Thanks

Hit and a miss really ,but if you want a banging Chinese go for happy house in bargeddie hands down that place is on another level

First time back at Orchid Lane as normal take away was closed. Still as disappointing as before, really poor quality, chicken wings luke warm, mixed curry awful and beef chop suey full of rank boiled beef and pastey. Expected better, especially given the price, won’t be back.

I’ve been using OL for 20 odd years now. The last 5 occasions the satay has been chewy beyond belief. Like chewing gum. I hate to leave this review but we pay extra for quality and this isn’t quality. I’m positive that the satay has been re-fried. It’s just not on.

Excellent meal. Staff really friendly and excellent value for money. Loved the lemon chicken and the prawn and spring onion was great too.

Used this takeaway for the first time after it took over our original one. Not really impressed nowhere near as good as the wok Inn. Can't complain about delivery or service just not as good as we are used to

We had a delicious delivery arrive and it was piping hot and very tasty.The driver was very polite and wanted to know all about our big dog... We had Singapore chow mein and a beef curry with noodles, the meal was great as we settled down to watch a Netflix movie night 🌙.

Take away has went down hill, meat and curry was awful, sauce was tastless and watery. Chow mein was nice. Sad considering this was our go to chineese and tonight was a waste of £20 as most of it went into the bin.

This use to be really good Chinese past 2 times I've used it was awful tasteless chicken pineapple and tonight just got breast chicken fried rice, awful no veg through it one bit of ham and tasteless

Got a chicken cho main tasteless no bean spouts or mushrooms just noodles and chicken my partner had chicken fried rice and curry sauce which seemed to be watered down will never try it again dredfull

Lies from the outset with the delivery, burnt chips, undercooked chicken satay, do yourself a favour and order your meal from another takeaway, would save yourself from food poisoning,

Food was so tasty and massive portions honestly couldn’t fault the food and so fresh too. The staff are also lovely and friendly. You also get 3 prawn crackers before your first meal and they are a decent size aswell. Woukd recommend the restaurant to any one and there is s as kff sad I lots of choice for the special offer of £15 for 3 course meal. Absolutely stuffed and definetly go back again and again. The best Chinese in Muirhead (and beyond). Their crispy shredded chicken is incredible, as is their chicken curry. When you sit in from Sunday to Friday their current deal is soup, main (with rice or noodles) and dessert for £15. The dessert isn't anything special but it's still a cracking price.

The meal was shocking ! Curry sauce was disgusting. ☹️ spare ribs utter rubbish …. Standards very poor.

We are regulars here and have been for years! We really enjoy the food but last night we were charged separately for every item including the fried rice, £11:60 for 4 soft drinks one of them being tap water. The menu is £15 for 3 courses but if you change the starter it’s an extra £1, for 3 people we were charged £90 so I feel it’s false advertisement, due to this we won’t be back.

Excellent food as usual. The decor is a little tired but still one of my favourite Chinese Restaurants.

Best Chicken Satay you will ever have

Me and my husband get food often as takeaway. Always fantastic, great quality. Can be a challenge to get through on the phone at times but worth the wait! Highly recommend.

Great food if you are sitting in or ordering a takeaway meal. Very popular at the weekends, could do with more delivery drivers to deliver the meals quicker @ weekends.

Got a chicken maryland ,chicken fried rice and curry sauce both meals were horrible chicken Marland was over cooked I had to search threw chips to find some that I could eat they were mostly hard also chicken fried rice was tasteless defo will not be back

My soup was decent and my ice cream but the main i got has put me off chinese food for good. The meat was definitely just left in hot water probs for a few weeks actually home now and feel ill cant get the horrible taste out my mouth. My friend complained to them in the restaurant and they couldnt care less. Now im wondering what kind of dog 🐕 i have ate.

We absolutely love Orchid Lane, when the ‘good chef’ is on. The meals are fresh, plentiful and packed full of flavour. However, it pains me to say that I am not sure I will continue to get deliveries from here, as we are unsure when the ‘bad chef’ is on and it’s completely ruining our dining experience from Orchid Lane. On a handful of occasions now, including last night, we have purchased a takeaway and it was tasteless, lacking salt and chilli (which for salt and chilli wings and salt and chilli chips this is worrying), the chips weren’t cooked properly, the fried rice was stodgy and the Singapore chow mein had next to no chicken in it. It left me feeling queasy after consuming the food. I am really fed up with paying the same amount of money for what feels like a lucky dip - not knowing whether it will be a delight or substandard quality food. Orchid Lane, please get rid of whichever chef it is that was on shift on Sunday, 2 January. They provide disgusting food and I’m sure we won’t be the only loyal customers you lose from their poor efforts at Chinese cuisine.

First visit to this fairly local restaurant. Staff were welcoming, restaurant was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Service was excellent and food served promptly and every dish was piping hot and the chicken & mushroom soup brought back happy memories and chicken curry with fried rice was so tasty and plentiful too. We all enjoyed every aspect of this meal and restaurant and will definitely recommend to others and we will be back.

Lovely meal, asked for chicken tomatoe which wasn't on the menu, and it was delicious. The staff where pleasant and helpful and didn't hurry our family gathering along as we stayed quite along time.

Just a huge thank you to the Orchid Lane for such a fantastic experience for my sisters 70th Birthday. This beautiful restaurant and staff were most accommodating from allowing us to set up early, helping with the decorations, changing tables it just goes on and on. The food was fantastic, the service unbelievable it was just the a beautiful night and my sister was so very very happy. If you are looking for a great evening this is the place to eat or hold a special occasion, stay local give it a go. Again thanks to everyone for the best night of food and service, instead of takeaway we will book a table very soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We just noticed the restaurant had just opened after the last COVID lock down so booked a table last night (Friday). We felt safe, the tables are well spaced and the staff were very welcoming and well organised for COVID precautions. We have been many times, it’s one of the local restaurants we can walk to. Food was excellent and great value for money. We had walked up on a sunny evening in shirt sleeves, no jackets too our surprise it was raining when we left so we were going to shelter under the restaurant canopy until it went off. The staff know we walk up and they supplied us with two umbrellas so we could get home dry. Service is above and beyond and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Chinese food

A member of staff was on hand to ensure we were masked and had a spray to sanitize our hands on entry. The staff and service was prompt and friendly and the meal which was part of an £18 deal was lovely. It included 3 main meals (there was two of us) which the staff bagged one meal to take home. We will definitely be back.

Not as good as Michael Chaus!!!

We have been eating in this excellent restaurant for many years and since lockdown struck we have had regular take away meals all of which have been excellent. Really looking forward to the day when the dining room re-opens which hopefully will not be too far away!

Unfortunately the food was very poor, ordered chicken curry, shrimp curry and king prawn curry all with fried rice. The food was not good at all, no taste, no flavour. The fried rice was like pudding rice and over cooked. Very disappointed, will not go back.

Love love love, been going to hear forever! Lovely helpful staff, great selection of food, only down side is delivery time, but I saying that it just goes to show how popular this establishment is. Love it

¡No me puedo quejar del camino de las orquídeas durante años! ¡Todo lo que he tenido ha sido perfecto! El pollo al curry es el mejor y su pollo agridulce también es encantador. Buen precio razonable y personal amable. Sentarse en el restaurante también es increíble. El personal no puede hacer más por ti y el tamaño de las porciones es enorme. ¡Consigue 3 platos por tan barato que no puedo quejarme!

As normal we let whoever’s birthday it is to choose the restaurant and my son decided this one I have been many time to this and I cannot fault this restaurant in any way if your go reserve a table although it has been quiet because of the coronavirus but that’s just people with no brain

The Orchid Lane wasn't too busy, maybe half full, but the service was excellent, the food arrived quickly (and steaming hot) and the quality was really good. A little off the normal beaten trach of people on the motorway but well worth the very short detour

We went for a family meal all 22 of us and everything was perfect the meals where beautiful and I would highly recommend it

Our food was very enjoyable and reasonably priced. Tempura King Prawns were a delight as was the Szechuan Chicken. Booking is recommended at the weekend.

Had a sit down meal here and it was brilliant! The food is fantastic. Service is very good also. The girls serving were very kind and courteous. Portions are a great size too. Had to take our own alcohol when we went last week but that’s not too much of a bother. Will definitely be back!!!
