Went to the puffin room for my birthday. Food was amazing taste delicious. Staff was amazing very polite and lovely people. Can’t wait to go back

We loved this place. Underground and moody with excellent service, the best food we’ve had in a long time, incredible whisky and cocktails. But be prepared to blow at least £100 on a night for two - spend more of you can afford it!

Elegant stylish everything was perfect! Most definitely revisit .. with friend or with boyfriend - fabulous evening all round!

Absolutely love this place! Such a hidden gem. It is so romantic! Low lighting and live musicians. They are a whiskey and cigar bar however they do sell beers and wines also. Definitely recommend.

From the doorman "Daniel"" to the chair take in the comfort and enclosed tasteful surround, smart and sophisticated staff to attend your needs then sit back and enjoy the uber special menu cooked to perfection by chef Chris....his skills are unmatched in any restaurant here in Liverpool, there is also its purpose........................whisky and cigars ....my secret escapechef danny mcdonnell

We booked here for my wife's birthday as part of a weekend away watching football and visiting gin bars. On entering i was surprised that the room didn't go back further. I soon came to understand the benefit of having such an intimate surrounding. The service was top notch and the serving staff were extremely attentive but not constantly interrupting. The food and drinks were exceptional and served beautifully presented. The tapas style 'small plates' were gorgeously presented and were the right amount of food to get the taste buds tingling before the main course. The fillet of beef was masterfully cooked and melted in the mouth with the help of a lovely Rioja.The ambience of the lounge was perfectly complimented by the music being played by the very talented Victoria, who played all the songs we asked her even though they weren't on her very comprehensive list. Thank you for making mine and more importantly my wife's night very special. I look forward to our next visit.

We visited the Puffin Rooms on the first weekend in January.From the moment we arrived we were looked after like royalty.Ron is an absolute gentleman who knows his whisky and cigars and he ensured our time there was one of the most enjoyable we've had.James was looking after us on the evening and his knowledge and enthusiasm was very refreshing to see; he guided us through the menu making suggestions and describing the items in detail...he's a real asset to the company. In fact all the staff encountered were of the highest calibre and had obviously been very well trained...they all appeared to really enjoy what they were doing.Victoria was singing so on the Saturday and was wonderful. She takes requests and played all of ours in her own style. We had a great talk with her afterwards and she suggested many places that we could go and visit in Liverpool the next day.Next door to the jazz bar is the cigar and whisky shop which stocks a vast array of rare and fine bottles as well as one of the best ranges of hand made cigars I have ever seen.We really had a great time at the Puffin Rooms and can recommend them as a must visit if you are in Liverpool. I booked the Churchill experience whisky tasting for my boyfriend for his birthday, we went last night and it was amazing! We have both been to the Puffin Rooms previously and all experiences have been wonderful but would highly recommend the tastings now too. There was an excellent selection available to taste and even though I am not a whisky drinker myself I felt fully included and learnt some really interesting things from our bartender Bobbi.It was very relaxed, not rushed and really enjoyed the whole experience. Again, Bobbi was fantastic, answered all questions and gave us some great stories and information about the whiskeys and many other drinks, she was so welcoming and we could have chatted longer I'm sure. Excellent value and we will of course be back in the near future!

After having my 50th birthday in January 2019 ruined, my husband planned what he hoped would be an amazing experience for my birthday in January 2020. He searched TripAdvisor and settled on the Puffin Rooms, due to the live music, cocktails and extensive wine and whisky menu. My birthday was on Sunday, 5th January, so we planned to make a night of it. He rang the Puffin Rooms a week before to book a table for 7:30, explaining that it we were visiting to celebrate my birthday. We arrived just before 7:30 and were taken to our table, a corner sat near to the live music. We were given one food menu between us and a gigantic drinks menu, which obscured our view. We ordered a drink each, my first was a cocktail and my husband a beer. I then ordered a white wine to go with my nibbles and explained to the waitress that I would order a different wine with each course, as we were settling in for the evening.

I arranged a whisky tasting (Orchant Selection) for my boyfriends 30th birthday. Bobbi hosted the tasting and was very knowledgable and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Took my wife here for her birthday, fancied something a bit different to the obvious restaurants or bars. We were not disappointed.

Amazing small plate food with a brilliant atmosphere. The cigars and whisky room is great with a lovely ambiance and aesthetic, not to mention the professional staff and who are extremely knowledge and passionate.

Yea it's fairly fancy but JEEZ do they put massive mark-ups on their cigars and other things. The same company sells the same cigars literally next door for about £6 less per cigar! The cigars were rather badly kept also, which was the tipping point for me. Two of the cigars which we purchased there were cracked at the foot and going brittle and one had half the wrapper leaf bleached under the lights. The humidor seemed set up purely for show and looks and was not keeping the cigars well at all, in fact damaging them.. and yet you're paying a lot more for them! You are paying about £5-£6 more per cigar just for going to this rather overly dark lounge where you can hardly see what you're eating, drinking or smoking. They don't allow you to smoke anything in there that you have purchased in their shop next door either, they force you to buy the crazy extortionate cigars in there. We checked out the live jazz first, which was nice, though pretty average live lounge jazz, for people who aren't big jazz lovers and more just want a generic ambiance. The bar was expensive but quite well stocked and good bar staff. Service was good at first but once we had sat down and decided what to order we were waiting around for ages for a member of staff to come back into the cigar room and had to walk out and find someone. The crowning turd on our evening however was some of the utter scum sat next to us - clearly very wealthy businessmen in 3 piece suits and posh accents talking very loudly about "revolting little poofs" (one of my friends I took there is gay and we almost had to leave halfway through our cigars) and about their manipulating and "sh**ging" women behind their wive's backs etc, and other things which are just too disgusting to mention. Some vile people, thoroughly average examples of the cigars we chose (badly stored also) and just a massive rip-off. There's no reason for them to charge so much other than the fact that they can.

First time here and what a great place, shown to our table very near to a lady singer playing a piano.

Great live music, high quality cocktails and premium liquor choices. The decor is atmosphere is exactly what you want out of a jazz bar and they’ve sparred no expense anywhere - Love this place

Only visited for pre-dinner cocktails so didn’t sample the food. Best cocktails in ages and the staff were lovely. Superb ambience and topped off by fantastic live music. Thoroughly recommend.

We came here for a drink to celebrate our wedding anniversary and wish we could have stayed longer (we didn't book :-( ).

If you are a fan of cocktails, spirits, cigars or jazz this spot is unmissable. Myself and partner had a phenomenal experience and could not fault them on any fronts. The ambiance and setting manage to both be classic and modern. The staff were terrific, cocktails and food were superb. The cigar lounge is the perfect icing on the cake. If living of visiting Liverpool, the Puffin Rooms is worth experiencing!

We visited here late on a Monday night for drinks. Greeted at the door we were shown to a table and given menus. They have a huge selection of whiskeys and other liquors but we opted for wine. The place was really quiet but it still had a really classy atmosphere with the smell of cigars in the air and jazz music in the background. Definitely the most expensive and the classiest bar I've ever been to.

Impromptu visit on Sunday evening for a bit of live music. I felt rather under-dressed in a T shirt and trainers (I was dressed more for the weather and would have smartened up if I knew I was going), but was welcomed regardless.

I visited this restaurant with my husband. The service was great and the food we had was very tasty. There are limited options for vegetarians and I don’t think there were any options for vegans. However, I’m not a vegan so I didn’t explore this.

Such a wonderful experience! A must stop every time I am in town. The staff is exceptional! The reviews that say otherwise must’ve been having a bad personal day and brought that with them. They are always professional and personable! The bartenders are always having fun coming up with great cocktails, even when I challenge them to come up with interesting drinks not on the menu! The atmosphere is so cozy and relaxing, especially with Victoria on piano. Everything we have had from the menu has be bursting with amazing flavours. The kitchen knows what they’re doing! This is premium location, so expect to pay for quality. If you are wanting an all encompassing experience, go with a great attitude and enjoy yourself!

We went Saturday night with friends, 4 people and the bill was £400, so we were good customers. One of the £10 cocktails was slopped down my wife’s leg, no apology and no offer to clean it up. The rest was spilt on the table and yet the drink was put down with half it down the glass as if that was good enough. That’s poor and I had to ask for the drink to be replaced. They didn’t clean the spillage and we had to do it. Food was superb quality whilst expensive. Why does the veg come out as individual dishes? We ate broccoli and potatoes without anything else? Nice to have had with the more main meals we had ordered. Cigar room is great and choice of drinks amazing. When you spend £400 on 4 people the service should be

We booked a few months in advance after reading great reviews and wanting to try out a more grown-up scene than other restaurants/bars in Liverpool. Great setting, superb staff, amazing cocktails, food which reminds your taste buds what decent food shoud taste like. My husband and I had a lovely night here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend and plan to return as soon as we can. My only regret is that we missed the usual singer although the bloke who was on was also very good, we had our hearts set on listening to Victoria. At least we have an excuse to have to go back :) We both had lovely small starters and small plates each but by far, the truffle and mushroom gnocchi - that, along with the nice bottle of Chianti transported us back to being in Italy which being the place we got engaged, was perfect for our annivesary. Thank you Puffin Rooms, especially the lovely young manager who's name i can't remember. We will be back!

We booked a table in The Puffin’ Room based on reviews on TA and were not disappointed. Friendly efficient staff, greeted on arrival, took coats.

We booked to have dinner at the Puffin rooms based on the good reviews on TA and as the website describes itself as the newest and most exciting venue in Liverpool. Thought it would be nice to have dinner with some live music but we were really underwhelmed by the whole experience. The venue is very small (which does make it nice and intimate) but this results in there being only half a dozen tables and we were seated right next to the bar, which wasn’t the best. We also found the band that was on very self-absorbed with too much chat and not enough music. I’m sure a lot of people really enjoy this sort of venue but It just really wasn’t what we wanted for our night out so we had one drink and left. Not somewhere we would go back to.

Was a pleasant evening till a very loud group sat down next to us. To make it worse, when we ordered the chocolate fondant we were told it was finished for the day. Reason transpired the group next to us had pre-ordered this dessert. On balance, no reason to return till they improve on these issues.

I love this place. Liverpool is such a fascinating fun town but plagued with restaurants with questionable customer service and OK food and bars with limited menu list of alcohol and few craft cocktails. Puffin Room blew us away. With fun entertainment, delicious food, and excellent craft cocktails and a very good wine list - it surpasses anything I have had in many trips to Liverpool and exceeds many places in other cities around the world. I will be back - every time!

A little gem Set in livepool away from the main Areas but well worth a visit. A selection of fine beers and wine and if you fancy a nibble try the food very good.

A fantastic night out! Amazing service from the whole team with exceptional knowledge. Cocktails are delicious if you are not a whiskey drinker there is still lots of choice for all. Great ambiance and the Friday night live music is brilliant.

As we had a restaurant booking we popped in for pre dinner cocktails and were warmly received by the friendly professional staff. The rooms are a delight and we regretted that we had a previous booking. The drinks were very good my friends cocktail looked fabulous, she confirmed that it was! I stuck to G&T; but it was beautifully presented . Our guys had a beer each and loved them. Can’t wait to make a return visit next time I’m back home.

Booked a dinner, randomly, at The Puffin Rooms last Friday ; I have to say that it was a very pleasant surprise ; Nice cozy Room, very 30's, good welcome from a young and professional staff.

First time visit last night and it certainly didn't disappoint! Took some friends visiting from down south and they too loved it. Victoria Sharpe was amazing, her voice is so lovely. Definitely going again. Cosy atmosphere and the waiting staff very knowledgeable.

While on a weekend with my bestie she introduced me to the Puffin Rooms and what a great experience. We were welcomed by Luke and it felt a little like being in a 1920,s private club. Beautiful decor and moody lighting sets the scene for the most amazing relaxed evening. We went in for one drink and stayed not wanting to leave this lovely venue with a wonderfully talented vocalist/pianist, Victoria Sharpe, entertaining us while we enjoyed cocktails. Staff made us feel like old friends. Will most definitely be back, in Nov in fact,as told my partner that I feel he would love it. To the Security guy, Daniel, thoroughly enjoyed our conversation and hope that all your wonderful work for other people comes to fruition. Congratulations folks. You have got the whole package, food,drinks and entertainment spot on. Looking forward to next visit.

Me and my friends entered the puffin rooms at about 11pm on a friday. We were seated at the bar and treated to the most outstanding service you could wish for. The drinks are expensive but extremely good value for money and the number of choices available is unbelievable. Mark and Bobbi behind the bar are both knowledgeable and articulate in describing how the cocktails are put together. This was a fantastic end to the night with brilliant live Jazz piano. Thoroughly enjoyable night. Your company was worth every penny. Cheers!

After reading a review of the Puffin Rooms we called in for a few drinks before going to our booked restaurant for our evening meal. We were welcomed in and shown to a lovely soft leather sofa and a room which had a great feeling about it. The drinks menu was very extensive and we tried a few rather expensive malts and brandies which were very good. Our bill was quite high for just a quick drink but we will definitely be going back to try there food and more importantly try some more expensive drinks

We went whisky tasting and the knowledge the barman supplied was fantastic! (So sorry, we have forgotten his name!) He went the extra mile to ensure we had a fun and memorable time.

We had a cocktail masterclass sat at the bar with Mark who was a delight. We were passed some lovely little blue cheese potatoes halfway through which were to die for, and completely complimentary. A really nice touch from the kitchen. As the potatoes were so good and the music was about to begin, we decided to stay and eat and drink a few more of the cocktails we had just learned about. Nothing at all was second rate. The beef fillet was so "melt in the mouth", its difficult to describe, I've never had beef like that before in my life. My girlfriend had the cod and a few small nibbles which were elegantly presented and tasted just as good. The musician was a wonderful woman named Victoria who has a voice of pure silk. Really topped off a wonderful evening. We most definitely will return again and again.

I have visited this restaurant under its old guise when it was know as the Albany over many years and was a little anxious that the new image would tarnish the great memories we have of our times there. It was truly a privilege to enjoy an evening at this establishment. The compete package ticked every box. Great surroundings, great choice of drinks, great food, wonderful staff and the fantastic Victoria Sharpe. A truly unique establishment with a very contemporary feel. We would like to thank everyone for making our first visit such a memorable one. Bravo and thank you to adding this night to the memory bank of many great nights at this great venue. Cannot wait to go again

Wow - we thoroughly enjoyed the Orchard whisky tasting session, great value for money and our "tour guide" had some great knowledge to share which really enhances the tasting experience.

Where do I start how about the welcome; Young James the Manager excelled in holding our attention, and all age groups, explaining the origins and distillery methods of the Whisky whilst allowing time to enjoy and talk about it. Of course the conversation easily flows in a great atmosphere with the right ambience and touch of magic. Thoroughly spoilt when a selection of appetisers came out way. Highly recommend The Puffin Rooms.

Visited recently and had a great time. A huge selection of whiskey, chilled atmosphere, professional service and the live music was brilliant. Would strongly recommend seeing The Grace Notes who play every Thursday live!

Went there on a Wednesday night with a friend spent around £90 each on cigars wine and whiskey. Had a truly great night so we booked in for the following night for food and a whiskey tasting session. Turned up dressed the same way as the night before to be knocked back by the doorman (he was very polite) for wearing trainers a t-shirts so just be aware that they have a dress code but only for certain days apparently?

visited a few times and service is second to none, Daughters bought me a Whisky tasting session and hostess Bobbi was an absolute gem, what she didn't know wasn'nt worth knowing. James the Manager very obliging and the Music settles everyone back into there seats. such a peaceful blues/jazz place.

We wanted to try somewhere different for our 34th wedding anniversary. The Puffin Rooms is certainly that! Sumptuous decoration and relaxing ambience. Service and attention to detail was second to none! Staff had a great knowledge of food and drinks. On our arrival, we were congratulated on our anniversary and given a free glass of prosecco which we thought was a lovely touch. We had 2 plates of nibbles and three main plates of food which was beautifully cooked and presented. The lamb and beef dishes in particular were delicious! Although not big whisky drinkers, we followed this with a Loch Ness whisky which was rich and warming. Not too sure if we left too early but didn’t get to see the live musician who was meant to be performing that evening which was a bit of a shame....but maybe next time.

I have been a good customer of the Puffin Rooms as I enjoy a Cuban cigar from time to time. But was turned away by an officious doorman this evening because my friend and I were wearing trainers. Even though I assured this chap that we would we spending quite a bit of money, he still turned us away.

This place has great reviews, so thought it would be a great place for a friend of mines 50th. The service was good and it has a nice ambience, BUT we originally booked to eat for 19-30 (having booked 2 months in advance and paid a deposit). A few days before we were due to visit we were told the time had changed to 20-00 and we also had to pre-order and had 24 hours to do so, which given we were a party of 7 was problematic. We did get back to the Puffin Rooms within the allocated 24 hours, who then served up our pre-ordered food at approx 21-30 i.e. 2 hours after our original booking time and by which time we were starving! Would I eat there again? Would I take a party there again? No, sorry. This is fundamentally not a place to eat. To drink and listen to music and have a cigar in the smoking room yes, but to eat no. The food was nice when it arrived, but it is small plates, so having waited 2 hours over the original booking time, we also left feeling a bit hungry. I was the organiser of my good friends 50th, so it left me feeling embarrassed and upset. Fortunately, my friends are relaxed people and took all of this in their stride, which is to their credit.

Our favourite place! My husband loves cigars and whiskey, I love the music and cocktails. It feels very exclusive but not at all pretentious. The food is incredible and the staff very attentive. Cannot recommend this place enough x

I returned to the Puffin Rooms again last night, and all I can say is WOW - again!

The Puffin Rooms is truly amazing! The food was unreal, the atmosphere was lovely. Amazing live music! Honestly incredible, definitely 100% will be going back. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, you won’t be disappointed. Staff were so welcoming and always around if you need anything even when rushed off their feet. Can’t wait to go back again!

Extortionately overpriced and food was no better than anywhere else! It was our wedding anniversary so the intimate setting was exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately they had no record of our booking (I had evidence of our tel call) and despite it being half empty, were shown to the worst table. Only when I complained were we upgraded. Hostess was sullen and unengaging. Pianist was the redeeming feature who we really enjoyed. We won't be back.

This was my second visit and it was just as good as the first. I visited once on a Friday evening and again on a Sunday afternoon. I have never visited anything like this place before. Its underground so there isn't any daylight, but the lighting inside reflects the calm chilled atmosphere. I ate on both occasions, I think you can just go there for drinks. The drinks list is extensive. My partner is a rum drinker and was very happy. Beautiful cocktails. The food is outstanding. It's a small plates menu, but fine dining, two plates each was enough for us. The only downside is some of the seating isn't the best for eating, but perfect for relaxing. We listened to the fabulous Victoria Sharpe whilst we were there, love love love it! Fantastic.

We had an amazing evening at the Puffin’ Rooms, what a beautiful small venue but the atmosphere was awesome. The food was delicious & very well presented. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The live music was incredible and really made the evening memorable as they included all the audience & made you feel special. The best evenings entertainment we have had for a long time, highly recommend it.

What a lovely time we had at this quirky place. Never been to anything like it. Efficient friendly staff who went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Comfy chair. Beautiful decor. Fantastic food and drink menu. So many choices for whiskies. Amazing cocktails. Food is like tapas but so totally different. Fine dining. So very tasty. So many flavours. Blew my mind. Entertainment was so good and relaxing. Great voices and piano playing. Variations of jazz. If I lived closer I would be there on a regular basis.

I was treated to an early Fathers day visit to this venue. We were unable to go on Father’s Day and booked but then had to change the date. James the manager communicated by email and actually phoned to ensure our requests were met.

I'm not really in the habit of leaving TripAdvisor reviews, think this may only be my second ever?

First visit and will be back. Great singer made the night special. The cocktails were unique and the food excellent - particularly gnocchi and beef. My only hesitation in scoring a 5 is that the drinks and food (for small plates) are a bit overpriced so I question value for money with a significant mark up on drinks.

Our last night in Liverpool and we were looking for something different - and found it. The bar portion of the Puffin Rooms is small and very intimate. Good jazz music until an excellent pianist replaced it. Good but brief wine list that pales in comparison to the whiskey list.

My wife and I visited the Puffin rooms in March for my birthday and had an amazing experience, the staff and the service provided were second to none. After being greeted mid afternoon we were shown into the luxuriously upholstered smoking room and after booking a whisky tasting experience sample 6 whiskys from various Scottish regions plus a Japanese one and the different characteristics of each were explained a very knowledgeable member of the team. I was also able to select a very good Montecristo No2 from the humidor. The advanced air extraction within the humidor did an excellent job of removing the smoke without removing any of the pleasure of the cigar. Following this my wife had booked a table for the evening where we were able to listen to Victoria Sharpe, have a very relaxed bottle of wine and a plate of excellent gnocchi and an impromptu couple of songs from Marcus Collins who happened to be in having a drink. Can't thanks the team there enough for making it such a memorable experience.

My husband and I visited here on Sunday and did the Whisky tasting as a birthday treat. Rather than calling it a tasting, I would say it was more of an experience. The manager James sat with us and explained each of the varieties with knowledge and expertise and we felt more like we were having some drinks with a friend, rather than being spoken to by a robot with a script. There were a huge range of cigars in the sampling lounge and we tried one also (well, when in Rome!). Having finished the experience, we moved into the main bar area and had some more drinks whilst being entertained by the live house band, who were amazing and entertaining. This place has a real grown up vibe and whilst it may not be the cheapest in town, it certainly has a huge range of rare whiskys, rums and cigars and you are paying for the surroundings and experience also. If you're looking for cheap ale and cheap facilities, this is not the place for you! However, if you want something different, to me there is nowhere else in town like it. Thank you James and staff for making my husband's afternoon (and mine) so very special. We can't wait to visit again.

Tried this place on Saturday, as recommended to us. WOW it's a great place, Jazz bar which has the feel and atmosphere of a Jazz Bar. Only stayed for a few drinks but will definitely be back again. Loved it and was gutted to leave. Cocktails, whiskey's very very nice and great staff. Loved this place. Please keep the riff raff out as this is what makes it really nice ... no scally's etc. Loved it here.

I’m a big fan of the Puffin Rooms, the style and vibe of the place is fantastic and takes you back to a bygone age.

Visited here last night for the first time, loved it. Was exactly what Liverpool needed, select, classy and authentic. I just hope it remains exclusive. Food was good too.

I loved this place everything was brilliant and the service impeccable .. the young lady who served us with our first drink and took our order was lovely sorry I didn't get her name. Everything about it made you feel special, the drinks where amazing, the food was beautiful. The singer was great it was a very relaxing atmosphere and nothing was to much trouble. Will be going back soon

Delicious meal here. Started with the caviar and a bottle of veuve. Then had the bouillabaisse ( needed more saffron ) with a crisp Sancerre and ended with the fillet steak and a glass of macallan 18

I love the old world charm of this basement bar. Impeccable service. Fastdiously curated menu. And quite a decadent atmosphere of tasteful over indulgence. Fabulous darling.

I returned to the Puffin Rooms tonight, and I have to say, it was incredible - yet again!

We all went for a belated Christmas present to go whiskey and cocktail making. As soon as we entered the staff were fab and the bar had a lovely feel.

Came across the puffin room. Totally amazing. Victoria sharpe the singer absolutely outstanding voice. Totally feel in love with is bar. Can't want to visit again.

Was taken to this hidden gem by a friend and was slightly concerned as I’m not a cigar guy but was amazed by the style and class of the place which was matched only by the wonderful staff. Very relaxed and enjoyable ambiance. Great music in the main bar and a great choice of drinks. Spotless and I really can’t fault it. I’ll be back.

Went here after the Liverpool comic con and finished our day off a treat! Staff are fantastic and the atmosphere is amazing. I am not a whiskey drinker as such nor am I a smoker but myself and 4 others had a master class on whiskeys and cigars and enjoyed some excellent Scottish whiskey and Davidoff cigars. Felt like we were in a time warp! Great experience. Got to sit at the amazing bar for an hour and listened to the brilliant live music making the place even more chilled. What an experience! Will be back very soon.

Booked a table through the website as advised, they rang to confirm on the day which was nice. On the whole the experience was amazing from start to finish, the atmosphere is intimate and relaxed, the food was phenomenal, the whiskey/cigar selection was beautiful and the staff knowledge on such products was very impressive, the staff were friendly and attentive. On the whole it was a little hidden gem that we will definitely be returning too. This is the kind of place that you cannot simply go once...excellent place.

Visited the Puffin rooms for food and cocktails. Couldn’t fault it , the staff were lovely and the food was first class. We ended the evening in the taster bar where you have an extensive choice of cigars and whiskeys.....fab. The live music was an excellent added bonus. Will definitely be making a return visit.

I can honestly say this is an amazing secret gem in Liverpool. This imwas our first trip to Liverpool to catch up with old friends who are regulars. We spent a Friday evening drinking & listening to a wonderful singer and talented pianist . This is the perfect venue to kick back chill out and chat. The service from start to finish was flawless and all staff are equally adorable and incredibly friendly. Daniel was very interesting to talk to during my friends ciggie breaks and I will make sure I watch the documentary in August.

Were almost regulars here now. There isn't a better restaurant in the country. Giada looked after us tonight and gave us exceptional service as always. This place is hard to get a booking for an it's no surprise as to why. The food we had this evening (beef fillet, goats cheese, cod lentils) was perfect as always. How the chef doesn't have his own cook book or TV show is beyond me. Thanks puffin rooms for being in our lives.

I can honestly say this is my favourite place in Liverpool we spent a Sunday evening with food and drinks listening to the most wonderful singer. After the marathon this was a perfect venue to kick back and chill out. I had some email correspondence from James confirming our reservation and the service from start to finish was flawless. Our waiter was equally adorable and incredibly friendly.

Quirky place with food cocktails and live music.

Making contact via phone with the Puffin Rooms is quite difficult to book a table. Having completed details on their website and left a voice mail. I ended up receiving 4 calls and an email that went into my junk folder! The table was booked for 8 and with no time limit on the table we made the most of the cocktails! If you have your favourite Cocktail and it’s not on the list you just have to ask and they will make anything you desire!

Great atmosphere, friendly service and quality music. A little expensive but well worth a visit. Fantastic!

We had such a lovely night here. The food and drinks were amazing especially the scallops and cod loin. Will be back soon.

Came here on a Saturday evening with some friends - we wanted to head into the cigar area but it was fully booked so make sure you book in advance!! Drinks are pricey but the service and atmosphere was really good. Will come back to try the cigars!

An Amazing Evening in this, which I would like to call a boutique restaurant, because of its quirkiness.

Attended a cocktail masterclass hosted by Sam! Brilliant night with a touch of class! Impeccable service and Sam went beyond and above! Would definitely recommend and visit again when next in Liverpool.
