Tasty Bites Indian, Indonesian & Vegetarian Takeaway in Eastbourne

First time I’ve used Tasty Bites , very good meal really tasty

Frustratingly part of the order was missing. The garlic mushrooms (including the lid & container) were covered in a deep yellow oil, which has stained our worktop! Very greasy and an average takeaway for us. The delivery didn’t update saying preparing at all, only when it was out for delivery.

Food was a tiny bit later than the time given but was delicious so no complaints.

Unfortunately the one curry was bland and the other lacked any depth of flavour.

Best take away we’ve had for a while, will definitely order from again. Good portion sizes, with good portions of meat included. Flavours exceptional, we ordered three different curries and a biriyani, plus other additional items for a birthday meal and all items were excellent. Well done Tasty Bites, thank you!

We've ordered from here a few times and can be hit or miss, but tonight the food was spot on and the best curry we've had in a long time. The Korma was very coconutty ( is that a word 🤭) and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Not dry like it has been in the past. Very hot too and quantity was spot on.

Wrong meat in dishes. Got tikka, instead of plain meat

The curry was slightly oily, but tasty

Collection but did not recieve the 10%. The prawn puree was a congealed load of dough as the photos. The main curry was small strips of lamb (well could have been mutton) god knows but it was tough as a jalfrezi. Won't be going back.

Food as always is excellent but I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get the 3x mint sauces that I ordered and only the one salad.

Food came hot, fast and delicious. This is the best Indian takeaway I’ve had by far everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Definitely order again

Remade the food how I like it but with a twist 2 times for me came across a bit rude at first but turned out to be a lovely guy who runs the place would definitely recommend just be prepared lol 😂 x

Tasty bites is the BEST Indian in eastbourne by far! I have been going here for many years and it has never let me down. Good price and good food!! Food was very bland with no real spics. Disappointing as we normally have had it from here and its been great. For the price we spent between two (£40) seemed a bit of a joke with the quality we received this time.

This was the worst food we’ve had from Tasty Bites for some reason. There was plenty of it,as always, but today both the Chicken Madras and Chicken Dopiaza lacked flavour and heat. I likened the dopiaza to a tasteless chicken stew. New chef? If you’ve changed the recipe - change it back please

Four of us ordered different main course dishes - we all had chicken, whilst the sauces were lovely it was a shame that the chicken was dry and quite hard for all of us. I really wish the owner of Tasty Bites would do something about this as we'd order more often if it wasn't for this problem. We had plain rice, all good but one had lemon rice and found it bitter tasting. Our papadoms were crisp and tasty but my roti bread definitely wasn't fresh and I think it had been warmed up in a microwave as it was tough - I couldn't eat it at all, such a shame.

They call them selves tasty bites, they should rename them selves untasty bites, the food although hot and plentiful, it was totally bland and very boring ! They either have a different chef or they just don’t care Won’t be reordering from them again, shame because they very good at one point ☹️☹️☹️☹️

Overpriced for poor quality food. Bhaji not cooked through, poor quality curry. I had high hopes as they aren't the cheapest and seemed to have good reviews. Just not much positive that I can say, I felt conned! There is better to be had locally for lower cost.

I’ve travelled some of Rajasthan, Goa and Kerala in India and also occasionally cook some Indian dishes from scratch. So I consider myself to have had decent exposure to Indian food. I am also a regular customer of takeaways, and have ordered from tasty bites in the past. What I received with this order was very poor. I don’t like wasting food but more than half of it was thrown away. The sauces for the dishes were bland and the meat was dry and over cooked. For the price I paid I expected a lot more, but judging by the more recent reviews this seems to be a norm currently for this restaurant. The breads and sundries were the only decent things in the order.

Not up to usual high standard the rice was very watery

Food was tasty as usual but all the food was cold. The sag aloo and the biriyani curry sauce was only half full. Not impressed.

Time was revised due to being so busy, so a little longer wait but the food certainly was delicious and made the wait worthwhile! The person who had the mushroom fried rice was not so keen on the yellow rice and would have preferred white rice.

Really Tasty. I make my own Indian dishes without the gee and this was close to my chilli garlic masala. Quite impressed. Like the different veggie options too. I had Sag Kumbi... spinach and mushroom. It was good. Sag rice was good, poppadoms and onion salad fresh along with nice mint sauce that didn't taste sour like the other takeaways. Highly recommended for Eastbourne!!

It was delivered over an hour before requested and the request I made for a bread to be swapped for a rice was muddled but the food is exceptional and we will definitely be ordering from here again soon.

Normally great service but something was clearly wrong today. Forgot my onion bhajis and rice was freezing. Took an hour to get through to them, they did offer to send bhajis but by this point the original delivery was over half an hour late another hour trying to contact them I’d given up on eating completely. I think we will be looking for a new business to support as this one clearly cannot cope. Very disappointed I didn’t bother even eating as main thing I wanted was the bhajis that they could happily take money for but not deliver.

Not happy with our last Indian from our usual place so tried this place - genuinely blown away by how good it was. This is definitely our new regular Indian now! Thanks for a great meal.

My Dansak was different, it is supposed to be a thick sauce, so not too keen on mine. My husband enjoyed his Jalfrezi!

Excellent food. Chosen because of hygiene rating (top marks) and excellent reviews. Not disappointed. The best Asian meal I have had for a long time. The only slight issue was that they forgot to include the popadoms.

Powerful flavours in the main dishes! Plenty of chicken and sauce. Only thing was I had to put salt on the rice as it was lacking that. But the rest was so good!

By far the worst curry ive ever ordered..overly salty, rubbery almost solid chicken. Disgusting...will avoid this place in future!!!!!

Part of the order was missing but arrived quickly after a phone call. Rice was slightly cold but just heated it up and the main part of the dish was very tasty a bit annoying you have to buy the whole pickle tray l just wanted the onion salad but it wasn't or l couldn't see it

We ordered the tandoori mix grill, literally thee best I have eaten (super delicious), generous portion and arrived piping hot. Not a negative thing to say, so if you are looking for thee best Indian, you well NOT be disappointed 😉

The Madras tasted a little like tomato soup, no depth of flavour and very little heat.

Another good test of takeaways, the second order, sometimes the first if good can be a fluke or extra effort as a first time order. Here though the vindaloo was equally as good if not, even better than the first time ordered. Again, as the comment in my first order, finding a place that can make a vindaloo that is not inedible has been a challenge, not anymore though, here the vindaloo is excellent! Thank you!

Samosa was missing from the orxer

Arrived hot and safely, all contents in their containers, no damage etc. so very happy with that. Also the food, I have been searching for a vindaloo that's actually edible and hurray, here is a restaurant that can make a vindaloo that's not phal heat or just plain inedible. This vindaloo was flavoursome and whilst hot as you'd expect, as I said not ridiculously hot like a phal. If the curry keeps coming out like this I will certainly come here again when I am looking for a curry.
