Popped in for a quick bite to eat and I have to say they are the best bhajis I’ve tastied! Will definitely be coming back here to try the rest of the food!! Great service too :)

I've been coming to Tastys for 25 years and it is still as good as ever. Crispy samosa, Lamb madras rich in flavour and perfect texture - but the highlight at Tastys are the freshly made chapattis which are fluffy and almost float on their own to your table. This is cafe curry at its best.

I came a long way from home just to try this absolutely *beautiful* Indian cuisine of a restaurant! MashaAllah the staff are the most friendliest people you could ever be served too. They make sure if everything’s alright and even thought to ask about the spice rate of their food to appeal to me and to future customers (which is very rare). Inshaallah, I will make sure to come over again once more just to be enlightened by their delicious food. I would heavily recommend to come over just to get an insight of fine Indian cuisine!❤️😌

Ordered 3 meals spent £31 on curry’s the curry had no taste but chilli. I phoned and complained they wasn’t willing to compensate for there bad tasted food just apologised. I would not recommend eating there or having delivery from this restaurant Standard below Zero.

Avoid at all costs, take money and give you old food and Roti from customers whom have left their food. Absolutely disgusted, should be about quality and not money. Really gone down hill

As a family we are fans. We are Indians Mostly Asians eat here. NO ONE can make KEBABS like then. Try them in naan bread but be warned. SPICY!!! When they get it right it’s excellent. Like any restaurant it can be better some weeks but mostly it is good. Even great. Yeah Great. Portion size can fluctuate! Lamb/ mutton can sometimes be tough! Different carcasses! Only criticism which they need to bear in mind is that its not very spicy. Good for blandies!! Also no Veggie Food. Fish Chicken is popular in our family. If you want spicy ask to have it hotter but here is the problem the chef will use a sprinkling of RAW red pepper POWDER! Ive lost count of the people who tell me that it gives them Stomach ache the next day. Don’t be put off. Tell them extra spicy and make it with fresh green chillis to add extra heat. They charge enough so ask. Im their greatest fan but go sit in the restaurant it is sooo much better Takeaways don’t taste the same! True

Staff very friendly & attentive. I was thinking that I had found an authentic place & I was looking forward to some good food but in the end it was back street basic. Very similar to your usual kebab/burger takeaway that also 'specialise' in curries, but this place only does curries, so not good. The curries do look the part but the taste was not right with mine, something was a miss, it didn't seem fresh & the spices were simply thrown in rather than cooked off. Had stomach issues within hours & checked their Food Hygiene Rating which only has 3 Stars. The one thing that this place has helped me with is to make sure that I check the Food Hygiene Ratings & practices 'before' I eat at any establishment going forward. Anything less than a 4 Star will not get my cash!

Always great food great hospitality and good price. Bathroom needs a bit of attention!:) Parking can be found at the front :)

First time ordering and very disappointed. I ordered food for takeout around 7pm that was supposed to take 30 mins but took 1 hour. I ordered a chicken masala spicy with 3 chapatis but got a tastless red curry swimming in oil. The chicken had no flavour. I had a portion of seekh kebabs as a side but I can't complain about them, not saying they were delicious but not terrible. The salad came in a small plastic bag. This restaurant was recommended by a work colleague but unfortunately in my opinion is not value for money.

Went to tastys for a selection of currys and starters . The currys were excellent proper authentic cooking not like the chains that I often use . Not that I am criticizing them it’s just a different way of cooking. The kebabs and samosas were also excellent. There is a constant flow of the local taxi drivers calling in , I guess it’s about as close to there home cooking as it gets . Excellent food will be making it one of my regular haunts when I need my curry fix.

Previous review “needs a few more reviews from Asians”? Just because someone is white doesn’t mean we don’t know what a good curry tastes like! My Indian friend took me to this place and we both swear by it all his Indian friends do as well and one of them is a very well known chef! Anyway I love this place very authentic curry’s at a reasonable price and the owner is very friendly, makes you feel welcome

I asked for Asian style chicken Baltic I was disappointed may be alright for non Asians very bland I asked to hav it spicy overrated needs a few more reviews from Asians don’t get your hopes high.

I really love their food it is absolutely fabulous, if you ever go there try their chicken tikka of the bone in naan. and their chicken masala curry. yummmmmm absolutely delicious I wish I had ate this food every day!!!!!!!

He comido curry en Yorkshire durante 30 años y honestamente puedo decir que haber sido presentado por un amigo hace unos meses ha sido revelador. Literalmente no he comido curry en ningún otro lugar desde entonces. Consistentemente buena comida y una gran relación calidad-precio justo en el menú. Recomiende los pinchos, los platos especiales sabrosos, los platos combinados y la korma picante asiática. Todo de primera clase.También puede traer su propio alcohol, hay un Tesco al lado.

I wanted this to be the best meal ever, but I cannot day this. Slow service, mediocre popadoms and pickle tray. Average starters. But the wait between courses was ridiculous. What a shame, love it here.

Called for lunch at tasty’s as they was just opening, had a fantastic chicken naan kebab. The best!!

No puedo comenzar a describir lo decepcionados que estábamos cuando llegó la comida. Habíamos pedido bhuna de cordero, madras de pollo y jalfrezi de pollo, y ninguno de ellos era como lo que habíamos comido de otros platos para llevar, todos eran aguados y sosa. Además, la carne en las comidas era muy harinosa y sin sabor. La comida fue cortada después de un par de bocados. Hemos estado en sabrosas unas cuantas veces. No esperes nada pijo y sin duda no está situado en una ubicación pijo, pero la comida es una maravilla. Es un diseño muy básico pero tradicional Hindú/Asiático eating house.

the best on the menu is the lamb on the bone. the meduim is on the hot side the gravy's are superb the nan's are thin and crisp and for something different ask if hey can do lambs trotters

Judging by the positive reviews, I must have gone here on an off-day, because the food was appalling. I went here with a journalist from The Guardian newspaper who was visiting Leeds, and we both said it was the worst curry we had ever had. It was really embarrassing.

Excellent food, best seekh kebabs around! Friendly staff. The food speaks for itself. I have been visiting for over 20 years.

I was introduced to the establishment by a family member and have never looked back since! Authentic Currys, kebabs all just like we eat at hime, but better! you cant go wrong, from seek kebabs to currys finger licking good, and you will be back. Decor could do with improvement/updating, but I judge food places on there food, and the food is amazing. The best seekh kebabs i have ever had the pleasure of sampling.

I went here with a friend who had recommended it highly. I was really impressed with the food, the staff were really good too. The only negative I could mention is that it could do with a bit of a refurb as the chairs are old and the place settings could do with being replaced, other that that the food is excellent, try the mango lassi.

It's very tasty in tastys.The staff are friendly and the food is reliably good. Just ensure that you are never fooled into asking for anything spicy unless you have a mouth lined with asbestos.

I visited Tasty's on the strength of the Trip Advisor reviews and the restaurant didn't disappoint. It reminded me of the Corner Cafe that used to be in Sheepscar the kebab starters were tender, spicy and totally tasty. I plumped for a chicken curry and my friend went for the chicken korma. The accompanying chapattis were freshly made an piping hot - quite a rarity. Both curries were simply made nothing flash but tasty enough to want to have another - I resisted. We had pilau rice as an extra and the total bill came to £20. A tad pricier than the Kashmir in Bradford but a lot closer without the added cost of travel.The staff are very friendly and the service was not intrusive. I'll be back for more in the next week or so.

This place is right up there with the Karachi if you want a great quality Pakistani cafe, 4 meals for £28 super friendly service, tasty food, no frills just honest freshly cooked value for money. If you want a posh night out and a £25 each bill then Akbar or Zouk is great but if you want filling with good old fashioned curry with 3 free chappatis in Leeds this is your place. (and I have to say maybe the best chapattis I've ever had)

As unrefined and as un proposing as you can get set in a non descript row, in a tired area of Leeds and looking more like a transport café - DO NOT BE FOOLED. This place is a gem, food incredible, and beyond what you would expect. You simply have to visit.

I went to tasty's with a friend from work he had been telling me about the best sheekh kebab he's ever for the last few months so I thought come on then let's have a look.The starter was a no brainer sheekh kebabs and let me tell you they lived up to the reputation they were excellent! Tender and moist meat with a real kick. The waiter who I believe was the owner told me they only use the freshest spices from the local grocer and it showed.For the main the waiter/owner recommended a dish from the kitchen which was not on the menu, he could tell I was a man who enjoys authentic cuisine and suggested that I leave it to him. Now normally I would say no thanks and go for a tikka massala or my favourite lamb and spinach but the chap had a great character so I left him to it. He arrived with a lamb and lentil curry served with a stuffed aloo(potato) parantha, first of all I have to say this curry was absolutely fantastic!!! The meat was so tender you could have cut it with your fork. The lentils were a great compliment to the sauce and brought the whole dish together and whatever was left got mopped up by the crispy aloo parantha. Truly a great curry experience.I was so stuffed I decided just to have a cup of asian tea to help wash down the curry and the manager even let me pinch a couple of his rich tea biscuits(bonus).All in all a great meal and excellent value for money the meal would have been double that in the city centre and half the quality. The only thing I can think of that may have let it down and I am being hyper critical is the atmosphere when we were in there the table behind us were talking extremely loud and at times I couldn't hear myself think. But apart from that...superb!

This is the best place for a cheap quality no nonsense curry.Been visiting for over 15 years brought dad today.No frills chicken curry and 3 chapattis full of flavour and only £5.50 each.

I have eaten at Tasty's at least once a month for the last 12 years in the company of work colleagues and friends. I have never been disappointed in all the time. Great welcome and simple food. Kebabs to start and then ideally spinach chicken or meat channa. Warm and friendly hospitality from the family. Wonderful!

From someone who frequents Goa for my holidays i must admit that this is the closest thing to the real deal! Highly recommended

I've enjoyed many meals from this gem of a restaurant. It's a no frills, no nonsense kind of place that excels in offering authentic Asian food served by very friendly staff.Forget the over-the-top and more expensive places in Leeds city centre. The best curry you could hope to find is only a five minute drive away from town.

i live only few mins away from tastys and i must say ive never been disappointed,curries and chapati are excellent,also try their seekh donner.

Been visiting this restaurant over the last few weeks with some of my colleagues and a friend for lunch on a Friday. As the restaurant opens at 12 this is ideal and the food has been exellent every time. It's well worth a visit, prices very reasonable and good service. The restaurant itself is a bit basic but the friendly service and great food more than makes up for this. We will be repeat visitors!

I have been dining in Tastys since they first opened 25 years ago. This family owned restaurant is one not to be missed. Zarak and Ahmed the two brothers who own and operate the restaurant are very friendly and will ensure you have a good dining experience. The food is fantastic, not the rubbish often found in asian restaurants, it is traditional and the type of food you would expect to be served up in the homes of Pakistanis. The restaurant is frequented by multi racial clientele, but the fact that many Pakistanis dine there is testimony to the high quality of the cuisine.

Been going here for years, always enjoyed the curry. Never had anything but a good experience. The place is really layed back, turn up and spend a few hours there. It's got a really homely feel and the owners a nice bloke.
