Dull & disappointed On entering I was greeted with a grunt from a male and the blackboard was pointed out to me, without glasses I couldn’t read. No assistance offered. He seemed to busy chatting with other staff member very loudly No ambiance and unwelcoming Breakfast arrived Cheap meat Awful egg, fried / scrambled don’t know what was served. I left it all Tea bag thrown into a cup and hot water offered. Not the service you expect sitting outside a prime train station Need to learn manners and learn how to talk quietly.. Left with thank you, was everything ok no fairwell again to busy chatting. Would not go back.

After stumbling across this place a few months ago it has now become the only place I will go for breakfast,even though its nowhere near where i live!! Whether it's a full breakfast or a roll it's always top class. Great owners and staff who cant do enough for you..highly recommend if you're in the vicinity and need a little sustenance..10/10

handy wee spot across from Tram / train station. popped in for a sandwich and some cake. extremely quick service. very tasty sandwich & millionaires shortbread.

Cute seating area up at the back. They make the sandwiches up for you fresh so it can take a wee while. My pal said his club sandwich was excellent. The aubergine and smoked cheese one I had was reasonably good, but could have been juicer. Folks working there were real nice. Good Italians. Can't work out if it £10 is pricey or not for a sandwich cause I've lost track of inflation.. it is what it is.

Club café my favourite coffee place in Edinburgh .I have my coffee majority of the mornings there and always going back for more. Once that I have tried the crostoni it was also amazing. Daniele, Giuliano and the owners of the business are very friendly and always smiling and welcoming. Keep up the hard work and what you are doing because you are doing great and that has a huge positive impact for the business despite the few bad reviews that are actually just an outbursts of customers self frustration towards your lovely service and quality products!!! Gabriel I will see you just after 7am.

Only stopped in for a quick coffee (double espresso with a splash of oat milk) and it was incredible- so creamy and smooth, really great quality coffee - must come back to try some food!

Really cute cafe right across from haymarket. Have walked past it many times but will be making it a regular. Really friendly staff and great selection of sandwiches.

I popped in her for coffee once on my way to the airport and promised myself I would be back for food one day. I had French toast with berries and cream a real treat. The 2 guys looked after me and my gingerbread cappuccino was great. Next time I fly I will be back.

If there guys make breakfast as good as the sandwiches they'll have a customer for life..

The grilled cheese is so soggy and the service is so meh .. the cinnamon rolls are great. I usually only review horrible place so people can avoid and waste their time.

A lovely spot for breakfast or lunch. Fresh tasty food, big portions, lovely coffee.

Sat for half an hour after ordering food there was other people who were sat down before us I ended up saying to the woman that we would need to leave as we were heading to an appointment she brought our order over within another5 mins. but the other table that were waiting before us had to leave without newing served. Service very slow . but food was delicious but didn't have time to finish it .

Una splendida famiglia napoletana a Edimburgo, caffè top, dura trovarne uno migliore, tappa obbligata ogni mattina x 4 giorni x noi 4...abbiamo pranzato 2 volte, ottimi i crostoni, panini e club sandwich. Super tolles Kaffee mit super Essen und toller Auswahl. Die Besitzer sind sehr herzlich und es ist jedesmal toll das Kaffee zu betreten. Alles was probiert wurde hat toll geschmeckt. Jedes mal ein toller Start in den Tag.

Ein neapolistanisches Ehepaar in Edinburgh, unglaublich aber wahr. Super nett, unbedingt hingehen. Bester Kaffee der Stadt.

Ottimo bar, proprietari italiani. Il cornetto, il caffè, il cappuccino tutto molto buono si trova vicino alla fermata del tram a Haymarket. Se siete ad Edimburgo vale la pena fermarsi

I really like this place. The food and service are excellent. It's quite small and cosy. It's not expensive and you don't have to wait for your order.

Dived in to get lunch here on a Saturday - and to get out of the pouring rain! Seating available at rear despite the small size of the establishment. Tasty panini with salad and good coffee. Good value and friendly staff - no pressure to move you on once you had eaten - highly recommended.

Everyday this little gem is improving...Recently I had the best gluten free sandwich of my life. Also is dog friendly that is fantastic.Real Italian coffee, amazing sandwiches and Panini, great atmosphere and lovely nice, kind, smiling owners.... Wray you want more? Actually my favorite in Edinburgh. Every time I visit this place is always a pleasure. I love the right prices they have for the great quality of everything they offer.

Only had a pastry and cup of tea on a quiet Sunday afternoon, but staff were lovely and cafe very nice and clean. Would definitely go and try out for a Sunday breakfast!

Vicinissimo alla stazione di Haymarket e staff super gentile. Incredibile ma vero, hanno anche il caffè leccese 🤣 Everything was super tasty!

Bad for gluten free. Gave a big legal defence speech about "not being able to guarantee gluten free" - which is just really lazy. If you have gluten free bread just clean your serving surfaces it's not that hard. EDIT: In response to the owners claim "Everyone with food allergies is WELCOME IN OUR CAFE" Evidently not. If they can't even offer to try their best to avoid gluten you probably can't trust them for other allergens.

Location perfetta, proprio di fronte all'uscita della stazione di Haymarket, personale gentilissimo e disponibile. Pochi posti a sedere, ambiente quindi molto tranquillo e riservato. Con le finestre aperte sul giardino sul retro si può sorseggiare un caffè sentendosi un pò a casa. Ottime le varie opzioni per noi vegani, ho preso un'insalata di avocado e vegan cheese decisamente gustosa e preparata sul momento. Grazie a Vincenzo e alla sua signora (i titolari del locale), tornerò presto!

I left my suitcase on a tram. They charged my phone, got me the number for tram services, let me sit in the cafe until my suitcase returned. I had a brilliant Full Scottish and they even accommodated my request for hot water and lemon even though they had no actual lemons. Such lovely people, kind and friendly, smiling and helpful!. Their omelette was particularly fluffy and delicious! Thank You Club Sandwich Bar Haymarket!

Grand place. Was able to grab a haggis and bacon bap before heading off to the airport. Delicious!

Poor service , mistakes with order more than once . When asked to rectify staff got an attitude slamming plates etc .made out i was in the wrong when they couldnt follow a simple order of 1 roll sausage and 1 roll sausage with potato scone . Atmosphere was tense as.soon as we entered and we ended up leaving our food and left the cafe

I have just started working in the Haymarket area and I specifically take my break early to catch their parmigiana sandwich that was recommended to me. It is so good, one of my favourite in my life. The staff are so lovely, it really is such a cute wee place with great quality/fresh ingredients and a lovely atmosphere. They make all their veg in house in the morning. Cannot sing my praises enough, you should definitely head in if you’re in the area.

I was out for a walk this morning, and at some point I wanted to eat something. I thought that I would have found the first Gregg's point and taken a sausage roll. But then I found this place on my way and noticed they did sausage rolls too! I stopped and asked for one, got served and ate it. I must say that it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Next time I want a sausage roll, I'll visit Club Sandwich Cafè again! P.S. to Italian customers: coffee here is great too!

Too expensive - don’t bother. Bought two white rolls - one with cheese and tomato and one with ham cheese and tomato and charged £17.20. Tasteless, dry and way overpriced

I extremely recommend this little cafe. The sandwiches are really tasty and well presented and they have authentic Italian coffee. The staff is welcoming and friendly, I love the relaxing atmosphere of this place. I'd definitely recommend it either for a breakfast/lunch or simply for a chilling coffee break with a nice Italian pastry.

Lovely man who was more than chatty. Have been back since and always friendly. Food is very reasonably priced and worth every penny. Worth sitting in and normally very relaxed environment! Will return

Un ottimo caffè a Edimburgo!! Se volete un espresso come si deve venite qua e come bonus avrete dell'ottimo cibo! I panini son veramente gustosi e scaldati al momento. Il personale poi è molto accogliente e gentile, assolutamente piacevole. Hanno opzioni senza glutine ma non possono assicurare la completa non-contaminazione, il personale è ben preparato sull'argomento.

Judging from past reviews I'd have to say this place has fallen from grace. Just ordered a ham and cheese toastie. I was given 1 thin slice of ham between 2 great big slices of bread. I'll attach a photo, try find the ham.

I was there on Thursday and had an absolutely marvellous Avocado Salad! Quite fantastic, and highly recommended, and the staff were so kind and friendly too.

Stopped by for breakfast on a Sunday. Excellent menu choice. We had one classic breakfast plate and another fussy veggie plate. There was no problem being picky and choosy over the breakfast items. The plates come with a standard hot drink. The americano was excellent. £21.80 for two cooked broadcasts and drinks right outside Haymarket railway and tram station is excellent value. Very friendly staff too.

Had an amazing coconut cappuccino this morning. It’s so difficult to get a firm cappuccino using dairy free milk and I really enjoyed it since I always miss not being able to drink regular milk. The place is cosy and warm, people working there are really friendly 🥰 I’ll definetely come back to try the sandwiches.

Visited here twice during our short stay in Edinburgh had the cubano and New Yorker sandwhiches on our second which were both exceptional possibly best sandwhiches we've ever had! Really surprised it's not higher up the TripAdvisor rankings! Will definitely be back next time we come! Also note had a 6 month old baby with us and we're very welcoming

I had some wonderful experiences here! Tried almost every type of sandwich and they are all excellent! The staffs are all super friendly and nice and the prices are reasonable. It’s definitely one of the best cafe in Edinburgh!

Not for us, the need to order before taken a table wasn't good, the food was badly cooked but made to look stylish, pointless when it tastes so bad. Coffee want brilliant, was big no for me. Trying to hard to be trendy and not worth the money.

I have been a customer of the club sandwich cafe since it opened, I don't have much to say the food is fantastic the Roman rib is excellent, the meatballs with sauce make you feel in heaven.

The place is comfortable and clean, the food is something special and the staff is very kind. Perfect for breakfast or lunch or to take a break!

What a quaint small cafe at Haymarket end of Edinburgh, staff very friendly and helpful,food was lovely we had 2 bacon rolls and coffees very tasty. There are seven small tables, making it cosy environment. Price was £12.40 so not too expensive prices you would expect to pay in Edinburgh.

I had an hour wait on the train station and found this place just across the street. It is a family run business. The owner is Italian and he runs the place by himself. Amazing coffee and toasts. Try the crostini sandwich - very rich in flavour with a lot of filling inside and veggies on the side. I am looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

Cozy café atmosphere across from Haymarket Station with excellent, fast service. The Italian staff is also quite dreamy. 😍 Creamy authentic espresso (too excited to drink it to take a picture), delicious toasted sandwich with fresh mozzarella, and the best cinnamon bun I've had in Edinburgh.
