Delicious Italian restaurant, staff very welcoming and friendly. Great choice of menu & great flavour in food. We went on a Sunday evening quite quiet but always busy so advised to book. We shared the focacia bread, calamari to start, beef ragu & seafood pasta is incredible.

Friend booked this restaurant after recommendations from work colleagues. Busy with Christmas parties but staff were friendly and attentive. Excellent choice on the menu order taken promptly. Food was extremely tasty and plentiful. I asked for a box to take my main home. My friends had dessert and both said were yummy.

The welcome was warm and the food was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble (even the request for a pizza that was "not too black round the edges") would definitely return and recommend to everyone.

Last minute booking due to trains being cancelled. Visited on Thursday 2nd November and the restaurant and staff were amazing! The staff were very friendly and gave excellent service. They offered us a complimentary drink to celebrate our honeymoon which was a really lovely gesture. We shared the mussels in cream for starter and the portion size was amazing. We both got a pizza and some sides and definitely over ordered but we were able to take the food away with us. Thanks so much everyone! I’m sure we will be back!

I had such good reviews about Paolozzi restaurant and booked it a month in advance before visiting Edinburgh for the weekend and the service was impeccable as was the lamb,calamari,mussels and Tiramisu.very friendly staff and the manager (Gino) couldnt do enough for us and we were treated like royalty as i myself am a Paolozzi but live in north tyneside, would be going back on our next visit to Edinburgh,this was the perfect end to our visit,thank you all so much for your hospitality. gino

There for a family dinner, my scallops were the best I’ve ever had and the veal for my main course was off the scale. My son absolutely loved his pizza. The service was great.

Nice central eating place easy to find opposite the Old Infirmary east end. We were greeted by the cheerful greeter who got us seated and gave us menus. It is an airy feel, not crowded. Drinks ordered and were refreshing special gins liked the cucumber one. missed starters on to the mains. The veal main was a well portioned dish (unusual for so much meat) the other pastas were wel cooked and good portions too. The service was quick for near full restaurant in the festival. A good eating place lovely staff, a fun place to eat, with very good Italian food highly recommended.

Visited with friends on the last Festival Saturday . The service was good and the manager was a great host Food good, and the inhouse lager very good. A nice experience on a very busy day in Edinburgh.

Came on the back of a recommendation from a friend and was well worth it! Staff were so friendly and welcoming and the decor inside is fresh and modern. Loads to choose from on the menu and lots of choice for wine and cocktails. For 2 mains and a bottle of wine we were just over £60. We had risotto and vegetarian lasagne but the pizzas looked amazing and you can see them being made in the pizza oven. Will come back next time I’m in Edinburgh for sure.

I had booked wrong night by accident and it wasn’t looking great as place was mobbed. The owner/ manager juggled something fir us and got us in. We were obviously pleased and very thankful and even more delighted with the food and service from that point on. Couldn’t find the guy at the end to thank him personally but will when I return next time I’m in Edinburgh

The restaurant was very busy and so it took a while to get our drinks but the food arrived quickly once ordered. The pizzas were large and tasty but my husband ordered carbonara which was extremely dry and so he was unable to eat it. The waiter noticed this and knocked it off if the bill without being asked .

The food here is epic! The focaccia is delicious and I had the chicken Milanese with fried potatoes and the garlic broccoli - soooo good! Came here twice and had the same thing but was slightly different which shows it is all cooked fresh! Staff is friendly but busy so there can feel like a delay between courses but probably wouldn’t notice this when with other people (as I was solo it was a little more noticeable). I was also here during fringe so potentially a busier time anyway! Decor is lovely and even though I was sat at the bar, it was comfy and a usable space! Will 100% be coming back here when I’m in Edinburgh for the fringe next year!!

We came here for dinner during the fringe, upon arriving the restaurant was clearly very very busy with dirty glasses stacked high. After being sat at our table in the lovely interior of the restaurant, we had to wait 15 minutes for our food and drinks order to be taken. The food was amazing can’t fault it, pizzas were lovely and the pasta was fantastic. Although the main reason I came to the restaurant was for my favourite beer paolozzi, unfortunately the beer was flat. After it arrived, within one minute the beer had gone completely flat. Overall a great restaurant which just appeared under staffed which took away from the other than great experience.

Food is great but never been to a restaurant with worst customer service. Staff are beyond rude & clearly think they’re too busy to treat their customers with anything resembling manners. The staff were intentionally intimidating & made people physically uncomfortable. We tried to go back a 2nd time to give them the benefit of the doubt but was exactly the same. You don’t go to a restaurant like this expecting 5* service but you expect a lot more than whatever it is they’ve got going on…
