The Cross Keys in Hammersmith and Fulham

Friendly welcome and outside area which was nice for a sunny afternoon. A few games which we were able to play and a cute pub cat. A nice way to spend an hour or two. And they take cash, always a plus!!

I adored the Cross Keys. It felt like an old school style British pub that I'd been seeking as an American tourist in the area. All staff were so kind to us, we loved our pints, and we kept coming back for Kirsty cat who was a grand surprise on our first visit! I imagine the Thai food isn't great, as reviews say, so probably don't go for dinner. Go for drinks, chat, and a generally excellent time. They seem to do karaoke, live music and trivia/comedy nights often as well, if you're into that kind of thing. But the pub's big enough that if it's not your scene, you can still come and enjoy your drinks in peace!

Dire. Bartender had no clue, handed me a sticky plasticised menu and showed no further interest. And then couldn’t be bothered to speak a word although the pub was empty (3pm). Thai food was worse than your average takeaway. Owner showed no interest in anything but his upcoming pub quiz. Stay away

When I first visited Cross Keys I thought “Proper pub, really nice” . Having now been several times, once with a large group , more often in smaller groups or alone, I just love it . It’s a proper pub where the bar and garden are for drinkers who may want to eat , not the other way round. The atmosphere is friendly. TheLondonPride is as good as any I have had-lovingly kept and poured in Guiness style 2 phase operation. They have decent food . They do sport viewing really well . The manager and staff are decent people . Comedy nights , ukulele nights ( I keep saying I should go…) It’s so rare and wonderful to find a pub like this . Long may they thrive

Come to this pub when in the area, it's very relaxed, unpretentious with a good home cooked food menu that's also reasonably priced. Easy to walk to from the river or high street. Resident cat, nice beer garden and a good pint what more do you want..

This pub is a throwback to pubs you used to find all over London. Nice staff with a chilled atmosphere. Foods not the best. The roast dinner is poor but everything else is great.

This was our second visit of the month but our first for food as well as booze. There is a fabulous beer garden out back with plenty of seating, albeit with some obstacles and the seating very close together so take care not to stumble over. A great choice of ales and beers and the pub grub was just fabulous. All the staff are so friendly, helpful and efficient. Highly recommended.

I challenge anyone to serve a better Fullers London pride than here at the Cross Keys in Chiswick. Seriously due to the line cleaning and deep old cellar the pride serves up creamy. Absolute gem of a find!

First time been there for Sunday lunch, 2 roasts for £20 the roast was good would definitely go again . The owner was nice gave me 20 percent off as I didn’t receive a code from fullers I’ve you download the app .

The Cross Keys is an absolutely outstanding place. This pub is very close to the Thames and it has an amazing gardern and hut. The food and drink are excellent, the staff are friendly. Highly recommended.

Great pub meal with veggie and kids options. We were well looked after with kids entertainment sheets and sticker books and the landlord was really friendly and attentive. Kirsty the cat on the bar stool was also a big bonus. Exactly what we were looking for after a long day in London - it felt like a local but we were welcomed as visitors to the city. If you book maybe book direct as I think booking through trip advisor costs them a commission especially if you have kids as I think the rate isn’t adjusted for kids.

4 of ate here one evening and the (pies especially) was lovely service excellent very good value for money would recommend

While down from the North East visiting a relative, called mid afternoon for a couple of pints (excellent Dark Star Hophead), friendly bar lady, locals watching the snooker, and black and white cat Kirsty curled up on her fluffy rug. Perfect! Menu looks good so will definitely pay a return visit.

An amazing find , Old fashioned London pub with amazing food I had a Sunday roast and the staff are so attentive and I wouldn’t hesitate to go here again when I’m London ! This place has a great outdoor area for drinks

An absolutely outstanding place. The food and drink are excellent, the staff are friendly and in fact, very attentive. For example, even during these restrictions, they still found seats for us. Well worth a visit to anybody passing by.

Entered the cross keys pub in the late night to entertain me and a close friend with food and drink. I ordered the traditional staple of Steak and kidney pie,with a side of Onion rings, quite a simple dish to prepare nothing could go wrong!!!!. Delivered the food I ordered,Broke into the pie, not as I would of expected a light fluffy crust which breaks easy,Not in the slightest. Needed to break open the crust with a huge thrust of my knife I was provided with. This would not be the first time I had this unfortunate occurance. I passed on my concerns to the waitress who said she would pass on my concerns to the chef. Was not offered any alternative e.g complimentary drink/Dessert etc. The pub is a lovely haven away from the hustle and bustle of the world problems. But I would order an alternative to the for mentioned dish.

Reservamos una mesa para cenar cuando llegamos a Londres. Absolutamente excelente pub con gran ambiente, muy buena comida inglesa de pub, cerveza muy bien cuidada y muy buen personal amable. Sin duda volveremos cuando regresemos a la zona. . . . .Gracias a todo el personal involucrado. . .

Encontré este pub tradicional y escondido después de buscar un nuevo examen regular el jueves por la noche. ¡Lo que encontramos fue un ambiente encantador entre los equipos regulares y un cuestionario divertido pero desafiante! Gran selección de cervezas y vinos, personal acogedor y atento y propietario. Mi amigo tomó un bocadillo de bar (un enorme bocadillo de pescado) y dijo que estaba bueno. Estamos ansiosos por regresar y también por venir en verano, ya que parecía que había una zona de asientos al aire libre de buen tamaño en la parte trasera.

Nos topamos con los Cross Keys después de cenar en Carpenter's Arms, y nos encantó su ambiente. Maneja una combinación perfecta de boozer anticuado y una casa pública modernizada en tres cuartos: siempre es un poco destartalado, tiene espacios divididos, tiene un montón de clientes habituales y es amigable. Llegamos alrededor de las 19:45 para encontrar un pub concurrido. El servicio era bueno, sin embargo, ahí es donde termina. La cerveza era para mí un poco cálida. This pub is really a hidden gem offering great service, food and wine in a lovely venue.The pub is about a 7 minute walk from Ravenscourt Tube sent in a side street.There is a large TV showing major football games. A large beer garden & a variety of seating areas in the pub.They have a nice menu with a good selection of well cooked food.We enjoyed a selection of starters followed by burgers - all very enjoyable. Will do again.

Nice looking pub with great atmosphere and good food. Did not look as nice as I envisioned but there were lots of entrees and drinks that kept my evening going. Loved the roast beef and seared salmon. I have been here a couple times with my friends

Put vgood as i cannot use good which is the best descpiption of this pub.its has a nice atmosphere and the real plus is the friendly staff that make you welcome even if you are a total stranger .prices are ok for london.well worth a visit

This the neighborhood pub we always wanted to visit. It is a fun place to have a beer. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. A most stop in London.

They aren’t serving food. The staff said me they will return with this service in November. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any notice about that on the website.

The Cross Keys is a very good pub in West London and there is a goid selection of different types of beers. Fullers is a very good brewery, one of my favourites.

I just had a lovely birthday party on a Sunday afternoon in the room at the back and the patio outside. You can reserve the room - which is actually a very beautiful space - but you can't receive the patio, although as the July weather was so nice it was the place to hang. Kerran, the manager, was flexible, accommodating and a delight to deal with. We ordered a great selection of drinks - wine, beer and soft drinks - and the costs were very reasonable. For a friendly party venue, I couldn't rate it higher. We arranged our own food as there is no kitchen at present.

This was a wonderful place for a sunny Sunday birthday party. The Barn at the back of the pub is a very inviting room (between two outdoor areas) which could also be used for meetings or training. There is currently no kitchen at the pub but the manager Kerran made it easy for us to bring in a caterer (although they couldn't use the pub kitchen facilities.) Kerran and the staff were helpful in every way at making it a success, allowing us to have acoustic musicians in the barn and put up photos on the walls in the yard. It set the right relaxed atmosphere for the party and I would recommend it unreservedly. It is reasonable too because the deposit for the room is offset against consumption of drinks.

Family day out and we stop here for lunch. The place was nice and the staff was friendly. The food was very tasty. Great atmosphere and lovely garden. One of our favourite english, quick and tasty food.

I walked approximately 15 minutes from my accommodation specifically to find the Cross Keys. Kitchen was open until 9pm when I wondered in at 8.45pm to be told by the goose behind the bar that the kitchen was closed and that no food was available. I hope the owner knows that his employee has cost him a lot more than my £20-£30; the countless other patrons he has turned away and the many others who will read this post and not bother!

En vez de eso, era muy tranquilo, incluso fuera de las zonas, que es lo que estábamos buscando personalmente. Es obviamente una familia pub amable como había unos carritos, pero hay suficientes zonas separadas por dentro y por fuera que no ver o escuchar a los niños (la felicidad!

Visité este pub última noche para ponerse al día con amigos y un buen concurso antiguo pub como uno de nosotros había estado antes y elogiaron el lugar.

El personal acogedor. Buenas cervezas Fuller's e interesantes y un menú bien ejecutados. Huevos scotch black pudding son deliciosas con patatas fritas bien también.

What a great find on a quiet back street in Hammersmith. London Pride on tap always a good sign. The two young guys behind the bar were professional and friendly. The pub was quiet but had good atmosphere. Felt really comfortable and would have stayed for longer. One to return to.

If I am in London I stay in the Best Western Chiswick Palace & Suites and the Cross Keys becomes my local - cracking little place where you can sit quietly in the corner with a good pint and watch the world wander along as you enjoy your pint.

Llevé a mi familia de visita a la Cross Keys para el asado los domingos y tener ordenados antes estaba muy contento de que la comida nos trajeron muy rápidamente y era delicioso. Era exactamente lo que se puede esperar cuando va a un pub para un asado, completa con todos los adornos, incluyendo queso coliflor, que es uno de mis favoritos. El personal era muy servicial, especialmente cuando decidimos trasladar a la zona de jardín encantador cuando salió el sol. Attended a family 90th Birthday party here, lovely Sunday lunch and great private area "The Barn". Staff were friendly and professional, catering for 20+ was good.

Eigentlich wollte ich gar keine Bewertung für dieses Pub schreiben, damit es so bleiben kann wie es ist. Wir waren auf unserem Londontrip zwei Mal hier. Das erste Mal weil es in der Nähe unseres Hotels war, das zweite Mal, weil wir es so schön fanden.Das lag nicht am Essen, wir hatten (leider) nicht hier gegessen, oder an den Getränken, die Auswahl und Qualität ist gut, aber nicht ungewöhnlich, sondern einfach an der Atmosphäre. Die war persönlich, warmherzig, fast schon familiär auch gegenüber den offensichtlich Fremden. Wir fühlten uns als wären wir Teil der Nachbarschaft und viel wohler als in zentrumsnäheren Touristenpubs.

Found the Cross Keys on your app and walked the short distance from my hotel. The pub had a nice traditional feel and after walking through the bar area easily found a table in the dining area. The staff we're really friendly and helpful and the hearty British food was nicely cooked and presented. My pint of London Pride wasn't the best but this was the only minus from my trip. I'll be back in the future.

We followed trip advisors advice and as we're staying around the corner and had a couple of hours to kill went in search of a cosy pub for a couple of pints. Wow wow wow ! What a gorgeous place ! So warm and inviting and the ambience was incredible. There were lit candles on the tables and an open fire. I had a pint of londons pride, and then two smiths gins infusions which I would definitely recommend trying. The orange and vanilla was better than the apple and cinnamon. I wanted the chocolate and cherries but the were out of stock, and desperately wanted to try their black pudding scotch egg, but unfortunately they were also out of stock.The staff were fantastic, especially Maddy behind the bar who was very friendly and very chatty. They also had board games, so I took a trip down memory lane and we played guess who ( I won). All in all it was a fantastic visit, and we will definitely be back next time we're in the vicinity x

Walking into this place I felt a little awkward and not right. A couple of customers seemed a bit ladish and overbearing, however, the bar staff were in full control of them and I felt more comfortable for this. The staff were instantly welcoming and endearing, striking conversation and making us feel at 'home'.Beer was great, pub was clean and well set out and the beer garden was a beautiful surprise, would look amazing in summer. I cannot say more about the staff, having been in the industry for 18 years I would encourage people to come and see how the job should be done. Hats off and enjoy your day off tomorrow guys, you were amazing!!! Thank you (from the baby Guinness people) x

Myself and a friend ventured in for a beer on a Saturday evening after a curry. Really enjoyed the traditional friendly pub culture here! There were darts being played, people reading books and the paper and lots of people conversing with strangers over a beer or two. Really enjoyable pint! Will go back again.

I stumbled on this pub accidentally after doing the Thames Walk for many years, I fell in love! I then spent the next six months commuting to this pub religiously all the way from Reading, it became my "unlocal local". I have never come across so a great pub with so many lovely people, or such a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. It is truly, without a doubt, London's best kept secret. I moved to Hammersmith for one reason, and one reason only, The Cross Keys.

Perfect place for food and / drinks with family or just as a couple. Lovely, helpful staff and great helpful regulars. Great patio garden for the summer. Highly recommended.

I'm a regular but I want to say that this is a great little local boozer....(ok, it's my local & I know most of the regulars & staff who frequent & work here). However, I came in on Bank Holiday Monday at around 7pm & was recommended to have the special of the day which was Lasagne. My partner had a succulent pork chop which he devoured immediately!! I was not disappointed in my choice. It was amazing, tasty & lovely. This did surprise me as I've eaten many times before & have always thought the food was mediocre. A vast improvement & as always the bar stag are amazing!! Keep up the good work guys....I look forward to my next feast!!

Second time which our team have returned to The Cross Keys for our christmas party and again it was such a great night! ALL the staff were accommodating to every need and made us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout the night! We can't wait to go back for our third year!

Went here for a work Christmas meal on the Wednesday before Christmas. Had a brilliant time! The food was exceptional and the staff were fantastic. It was also a nice surprise to discover we had their cabin all to ourselves and could put our own music to make the occasion far more personal. Being able to play darts at the end of the evening in the bar was the icing on the cake. Will definitely be returning here, and not just for Christmas! Highly recommended!

I celebrated my birthday party at the Cross Keys and booked the Barn. We orderedsome "Christmas Buffet Menu" and it was excellent and appropriate for this kind of event.The food was really tasty and worthy for the price. We had a really pleasant evening in this really nice and comfortable room, and the service was always very friendly and attentive. I would very much recommend The Cross Keys to celebrate your birthday party.

This is the second year we have returned to the Cross Keys due to the amazing staff and the fantastic private venue at the back. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We are a big group of friends who have children and babies and they do everything they can to accommodate our needs ranging from dietary requirements to top notch service and food. The cosy and nicely decorated Barn at the back allows the kids to run riot without bothering anyone else and the adults get to enjoy a drink while playing our own Christmas playlist. The traditional main pub is also a lovely place for a pint and we are all regular weekend visitors during the rest of the year as well. Thank you all so much for making our Christmas celebration so special. A great find!

We had a Christmas at the Cross Keys for the second year running, last year was so good. This year was also fantastic, they are a great bunch of people, friendly, attentive, smiling - nothing was an issue too big for them. It's such a pleasure to visit. Their menu is excellent and I'm saying this as a somewhat fussy customer. The house at the back, The Barn, is a fabulous space for any sort of group event - cosy, private and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Can't praise them enough!

We had our work Christmas lunch at The Cross Keys at the beginning of December in The Barn out the back of the pub. The food was excellent and so were the staff. The Barn is a really lovely room that I would recommend for any function. We would definitely use it again. The pub itself was really warm and welcoming, just what you need at Christmas.

I love drinking here. Some of the locals bring the pub down a little bit but if you don't speak to them, it's great. Fullers are doing everything right in this traditional and friendly boozer.

We organised a work pub quiz so used the room they have out the back. Staff are very accommodating and we made use of the happy hour on the bottles of wine.Andy was our amazing Quiz Master and normally has his pub quiz on a Thursday. Really well organised and got us all competitive- The wipe out round was the most frustrating .Staff were brilliant in serving us drinks and generally making sure we were ok. Definitely go if you fancy a quick drink or even fancy a bottle. A lovely local pub which we need to make sure we support. Picture is of our quiz winners!!

Friendly staff, excellent food and great atmosphere! This is our usual spot for a drink after work and a great find! The food is always freshly cooked and my favour is the nachos, Scotch egg and garlic chessy chips!

Another lovely lunch, perfect way to spend my day off, they even let us watch the Test Match! Moroccan Tiger Prawns were amazing and brilliant Gin menu.

We've just moved to the area and are still exploring all the local pubs and restaurants and were very pleased to come across the Cross Keys. It has fine pub food, and at very good value. We had the Sunday roast, only one comment, please improve on the Yorkshire Pud. Unfortunately very few places get it just right. The drinks were well maintained and my beer was ice cold, perfect for a hot summers day. We were full after that meal, but since 2 courses were only an extra £2 on the set menu, we succumbed to the temptation, which was huge and very nice. The staff were very attentive and the pub was quite busy with a complete mixture of people. We will be going again.

we had my husband's 40th birthday here recently and it went excellently. You can hire the Barn out the back and part of the garden for a private party and it's a really nice space. Everyone was raving about the burgers (we had a BBQ) and the guys working were so helpful and friendly - when we were decorating they kept checking we were ok and had everything we needed. Really couldn't recommend them enough, extremely welcoming, fantastic drinks (gin & tonic fishbowls!) and good filling food!

Lived in London years ago and food was just starting to improve. A pub like Cross Keys is a sign of how far it has come since. Its a beautiful and sophisticated pub, with a great vibe and terrific food. I felt more like wine than beer given the nice menu with dishes like green tomato gazpacho. Our server, Gregorio, was one of the most fun, lighthearted and attentive we've had in years. I highly recommend you visit Cross Keys if you want a pub-like event without the fried British pub food.

Great pub. Visited last weekend to celebrate a friends 40th. Food was done on the BBQ and tasted great. Huge portions. The beer was good, the staff really friendly. Would certainly recommend to people of they are in the Chiswick area to pay the Cross Keys a visit, You won't be disappointed.

This pub is really lovely, great staff, great ambiance, good pours on the drinks. The food is fine. It's pub food and nothing special, though I'd say it is at least a good value. To be fair I haven't tried everything but have sampled a few things so there may be great items I haven't tried. Still I would never come here specifically to eat but it's such a nice pub vibe I don't mind eating here if we are watching a game or drinking with friends. Also really cute outdoor patio with comfy furniture in the back on a nice day or night.

A warm welcome as always from the publican and his team, good beer and food. A real pub experience. Not far from the river or Stamford brook tube.

My husband and I popped down after a tennis game as we had read the good trip advisor reviews. We weren't disappointed. A warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and a great burger. We both left very satisfied and are keen to rent the barn for a function in the future.

We booked for lunch first in a private back room, the food was fabulous especially the seared salmon, sausages and ham hock was huge! They allowed us to decorate with balloons, bring our own cakes and the staff, Tim especially was so extremely helpful, a fabulous venue for a super engagement celebration

Have drank here many times but today I decided to have some food. Half pint of prawns! Prawns still had the shells on and they were so fresh! Haven't had shelled prawns in years. Delicious!

I have visited this pub several times over the past 26 years I have worked in Hammersmith. I have now left my employment in Hammersmith and held my leaving bash in the Barn last night and it was fantastic. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. The staff were great and the food was excellent. No doubt I will visit in the future. Thanks for a great night :-D

I ate here last night and had the best pub food I've ever had. I ordered something from the Chef's special menu and was not disappointed.Bar staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and the prices are very reasonable.Great pub.

I'd never managed to try this place before last week. It's fairly standard but has a mixed group of people. Guys in the bar watching football, friends in the restaurant area at the rear then families in the garden. But what makes it well worth a visit is the staff, they guys are really friendly can't do enough for you and the best thing is on a Sunday they will sell you any wine from the menu at happy hour price (ie house)

Visitors may not realise the stock of this pub: locally brewed ales (from the offers on tap to the "high end" Fuller's vintage ales in a bottle), even locally distilled gins, it shows sport but it's a quiet little "proper" pub. Darts, board games, and two small but lovely areas of outside garden. Perfect for a not-too-expensive pub lunch or for Saturday night beers.

Great pub, good atmosphere and nice food; friendly staff and locals, we will be back regularly. Good venue for sports fans with a choice of screens to watch. Also has a nice courtyard for outside dining in the summer months.

And we are back, lol.This is my partners fave pub when he has to stay in Hammersmith by far.This time round i had the special dish of mild mushrooms linguine .. It was very tasty and very filling altho it didn't look much in the bowl.Very friendly, made to feel welcome. Great little pub, well worth a visit.

John and the team at Cross Keys were fantastic in helping me celebrate my 30th birthday in style. 'The Barn' is an atmospheric, cozy (albeit comfortably held 40 people), nicely lit, exposed-brick walled room at the back of the pub which is available to hire out. Furniture is movable, with a nice balance of tables to sit at and free space to mill around. The team were helpful with questions ahead of the day and on the evening itself. I didn't use their catering option, just brought cake and purchased a platter of chips mid-way through the night to appease hungry guests, but a nice service to have had offered. The ONLY criticism is that they only had an HDMI cable to connect the TV screen - my laptops have the apple display-port or a VGA port respectively, so I wasn't able to show a presentation of embarrassing photos my parents had prepared (this was actually probably a good thing anyway!) Thanks to all at Cross Keys for helping make my 30th a night I'll remember for a long time!

I have visited the pub on Sunday after the boat race. The place was very busy but the service was fast and efficient. I had roast roast pork and my partner had roast beef, both were massive and really tasty. I will definitely come back.

We held our son's 5th birthday party here and it was a great choice. the barn at the back is seperate from the pub, but you enjoy all the kitchen facilities and the friendly staff. the food for the kids was great and very reasonable and the manager made it feel all very easy! Helpful when you are dealing with lots of children. Highly recommend.

Great pub hidden away in a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle. They arranged a tour of the nearby brewery followed by lunch for 8. The food, beer and service was spot on. The brewery visit was very informative and made even more enjoyable by the post tour beer samples. Tempted to make a joke here but too obvious! When Bristol City scored a 90th minute winner at Fulham the great day was made perfect.

Superb time, the tour of the fullers brewery was excellent with a very enthusiastic and knowledgable tour guide. The food, beer and staff you could not fault at the cross keys. Excellent and would recomend. Simon, Bristol city fan.

Relaxed pub, quick service and very friendly staff. We had a laid back but enjoyable Sunday roast. I can recommend the black pudding scotch eggs - and will definitely return just to get another one of those!
