Three Horseshoes in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

The roast platters are amazing, meat, roast potatoes, new potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, brocoli, peas, and Yorkshire pudding. Even my gluten free meal had a Yorkshire pudding! Tasted amazing. Will definitely be returning. We can 3 platters between 7 of us. Plenty of food to go round.

It was midweek, so quite quiet, but we got to play some board games with the children and we had lovely pub food - very reasonably priced, lovely dining out with family.

We visited this Inn for the first time as they were taking part in Norfolk Restaurant Week. This is where they serve a limited menu at a set price and you choose from two or three courses. The food was very impressive and the restaurant very "roomy", despite there being a lot of diners it didn't feel at all crowded. We will definitely be returning in the future.

6 of us went for norfolk restaurant week which the pub had extended to include a Saturday evening which was brilliant. The food was excellent and amazing value for money £20 for 3 courses . We will defo go again as prices seemed good anyway, well worth a visit .

Firstly I’d like to say the Sunday beef platter was excellent so no complaints about the food. But a couple of the staff were arrogant and rude. A mistake was made with our booking even though the time was confirmed to us three time, someone had written it down incorrectly for half an hour later. When we turned up it was rudely shouted at us ‘you’re too early, sit down and wait’ This we tried to do only to be shouted out again ‘not there that’s booked’ As two of our party are disabled this was totally unacceptable. As I pointed out to the person with the clipboard that they had made a mistake with the booking, no apology was received, she just said ‘well you could always leave and go elsewhere.’ The pub was extremely busy and so is a victim of its own popularity where customer service is neither taught nor given. Food was eventually served to us 1hr 20mins later. Obviously will not return.

The Sunday lunch was delicious and well presented. Good value for money. We clearly had a time limit on our table and they constantly rushed us. I hadn’t finished my drink before it was taken away. I would come back but not regularly.

The food was excellent. The service was just as good. We just loved the pub. Real value for money. So pleased we decided to visit this establishment. Highly recommended.

Lovely Sunday lunch platter. Roast beef. Staff are so helpful and food very good. Have to ask for a take home box as so much food. Have eaten in the week at lunch time food just as good. Good prices and the sweet's are good value too. Keep up the good work. Very dog friendly as the 2 spaniel's come with us and we can eat in the bar. Keep up the good work. Will see you again soon.

Disappointed with meal.. Not enough beef with Sunday roast platter and roast potatoes tasteless as we're Yorkshire pudding

Quintessential English pub. Reasonably priced lovely food, good menu. Friendly staff, nice clean front courtyard to sit out in. Difficult to find fault with anything. Definitely worth a return visit.

We were recommended lunch here having just purchased a car at the nearby car sales - my husband had a couple of pints with a very tasty burger, and I ordered the whitebait starter and a dessert to celebrate our new purchase - the pub was very busy as it was such a warm and sunny day, and the customers all seemed jolly and staff friendly and efficient; the waitress who came to clear our plates and check everything was ok whispered “pig” to me when I told her I had ordered a dessert…good job I have a sense of humour and luckily this made me laugh out loud Delicious food

Stopped off for some lunch after a dog walk in the area. Nice outdoor seating to enjoy the late summer weather. Very friendly and polite service by bar staff and young waitress. Home cooked fish and chips was impressive. All our food was tasty, served hot and reasonably priced. Nice to find somewhere that focuses on a small menu and doing it well. We’ll be back.

We really enjoyed our evening. Very friendly and enthusiastic young staff, lovely food, prices extremely reasonable. There seems to be a bit more variety on the menu than before (we had stopped going). We will be back soon!

We went for a walk round the common and decided to treat ourselves to a pint here. Ended up having lunch and it was delicious. I had panini with chips and the other half had sausage egg and chips. My panini was bacon, brie and cranberry. Plentiful and flavoursome. Other half enjoyed his. We looked at the dessert board and weren't sure if we wanted one. The barman recommended the waffle with ice cream and fruit. We both went for it. O my, so glad we did! It was divine. Lovely pub, good selection of on tap berr/ake and a good old fashioned chalk board menu. Good selection of food. Prices are extremely good for the area and standard of cooking and presentation is excellent. We felt very comfortable and there was music in the background. We shall return.

Great food with Great service! We has a table booked for a Party of 10 over the weekend, all meals came out hot, well presented and plentiful, the Curried chicken burger particularly great. It’s nice to see a bit of variety on the menu.

Called in for lunch on a Monday. Very COVID aware. Food was good and service friendly. There seemed to be quite a few people eating, which is good during these strange times.

We went for a meal and were pleased to find that food is served Sunday evening. We chose a roast platter for two and it was enormous. They provided boxes to take the excess home if required and most people were taking advantage. The tables were well distanced and clean. There was cask beer from Woodfordes and Greene King.The service was pleasant and the prices very reasonable. Very impressed.

Visited on a Sunday lunch time for the famous roast dinner sharing platter. We had pre booked and on entering was shown to our table. The waiters/waitresses all wore face coverings and kept a safe distance from you. Tables were well distanced. The platter was excellent value for money. So much so we didn’t have room for desert. Nice touch that people were offered the chance to have any leftovers boxed up to take away. All in all a fantastic COVID friendly restaurant that we will defiantly return to.

We had a very good meal at this pub. They are very covid aware with plenty of space between tables and at the bar. The food was tasty and portions generous.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed our meal here. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the menu options were good, traditional pub meals like fish and chips, hunters chicken, scampi etc. The pub was immaculately clean and although busy with a buzzy atmosphere, the social distancing measures were excellent. The highlight for my husband and teenage sons was the chicken and ribs... They are usually always hungry but this left them fully satisfied! The scampi and hunters chicken were also delicious.

1st visit since 2018 but well worth the wait. Due to the coronavirus the measures in place here are fantastic. We felt so comfortable from the start. The range of meals is excellent and will cater for most people. Service was 1st class and the meals we had were fantastic, so good in fact we booked up for the next week. Would recommend to anyone who would like to go out for a meal just outside King's Lynn. Dog friendly too.

This pub is my favourite, the staff are so thoughtful and attentive. The bar has so much choice, beers, gins and wine. A real community hub. Food is varied, always good with lots on your plate. My very favourite, and now showing responsible social distance Measures. Fantastic

Great lunch here, lovely staff, fab food. They are coping well with the new restrictions. We all had pies of various descriptions - all excellent - and a special note for the chips which were delicious too! They coped brilliantly with our 5 dogs too!

My husband and I have just enjoyed the roast beef serving platter. The staff have pushed out all the stops to make your visit an enjoyable experience, the same great quality food and they went out of their way to make us feel safe and comfortable. It was great to be back to a little normality

The sharing platter was AMAZING and such great value for money. We asked for a well done lamb platter and it was exactly that. Polished off most of it but was offered to take the rest home which is great. Will definitely be returning and bring some friends next time too!

Went for valentines meal , the pub is fantastic a traditional English country pub with lovely friendly atmosphere , staff are great , good size car park , the food well the sharing platters are stuffed full with good quality eats and really good quality meat can't wait to return for a roast , and hurry up summer as a lovely seating area out the front

Booked Sunday lunch at the three horeshoes the first time and was very disappointed table booked 4.30 got table 4.50 then sat waiting till 5.15 for dinner that had been pre-ordered no good, but then when we tried to eat it the beef was like old shoe leather and stringy, yes we had a mass of potatoes new and deep fried supposed to be roast, a pile of brocli some peas carrots and coliflower 2 massive Yorkshire pudding a lot of food but not good food and not worth £25, when I paid the man behind the bar asked if everything was OK I said not really but he did't ask what was wrong, that totally spoilt the Sunday lunch after a 2 hour drive will not be going again.

Lovely choice of food on Xmas Eve and very good service. Haven’t been to this pub for over 20 years and it didn’t disappoint. Very good valve. Just a tad noisy but it was very, very busy. Will go back when next in the area.

We have been to the three horseshoes many times lunch and evening we have never had a disappointing mealthe service is always friendly and courteous.The menu is varied with blackboard specials and usual favourites there is a senior menu which is very good value .All in all a great place for a good experience and good food in a welcoming environment.

The Three Horseshoes is a good honest pub with no pretentious to ‘gastro’ status. The food is straightforward, good portions and tasty. The Sunday lunch is ideal - particularly when feeding teenagers - where quantity becomes marginally more important than quality. My two seventeen year olds remained full for almost two hours - a record. The service is cheerful, friendly and well paced. The beer selection is good and well kept.

We visited on Saturday night, while staying in the area on holiday. Outside of the pub and inside was lovely, friendly staff. Food was disappointing thou, pate for starter which had funny after taste. Mains was Hunter chicken and burger, the salad on both plate was starting to go brown. The burger was tasteless and dry, you get fries not chips. It’s cheap pub grab.

A very nice old world pub with a selection of beer. The meal I had let the place down as I was expecting proper chips with the gammon not thin chips like Macdonalds. The gammon I had was ok but it was the full of gristle not a piece out of the best part of the gammon which I expected for the price paidWill give it another try if in the area again to see if it is any better.

We left completely stuffed, ready for our return walk to Castle Rising. I must say though that when we have visited on normal days (including busy evenings) we have found the choice of meals very limited and the mains have been more or less the same for years.If the regular menu included food like this we would visit much more often, as the friendly staff always make it a lovely experience and the prices are very reasonable.
