Toby Carvery Hoole Village in Cheshire West and Chester

I’ve seen 1 star reviews that made me feel a bit uneasy going in but then soon as we walked in we were seated by Paul who gave exceptional service and was very helpful with my daughter who has Arfid we got our food which tasted sooo good I recommend the gammon, Yorkshire puddings we’re slightly dry but everything else made up for it please don’t listen to the other reviews and just eat here it’s great!!!

Been here a few times over the last couple of weeks,the food has always been good,very good value for money,toilets spotlessly clean as well,would deffonatly recommended to pop in here for an enjoyable roadt or great breakfast, deffonatly will be back again.

Ate here a couple of times when staying at the Travelodge next door. Ambience and staff were excellent, Very friendly and well trained. It was very busy but well run, typical carvery food, slightly let down by a couple of pints of Stella being served fairly flat, and the meat portions although being nicely cooked, being disappointingly small!

Absolutely disgusting customer service today. I have never experienced such unprofessional staff! Some were great but Luke (one of the bar staff was terrible, if I was his manager he would no longer have a job!) Eating a pack of crisps whilst serving, he even said "im F*****G starving and theres nothing to do, talking rudely about customers, loudly swearing to quote "the disabled toilet is covered in S**T" absolutely disgusting as there was children around! When asked by another member of staff if anyone had dealt with the situation he said no I'm not doing that it's everywhere get one of the newbies to do it! And the toilet still hadn't been cleaned by the time we had left! Not nice when I had no choice but to go and change my daughters nappy. Also giving me dirty looks when I was breastfeeding my baby. He really ruined the whole meal for us, we chose here for my birthday lunch and it ended up putting a dampner on the whole day. Even the other team members were visibly uncomfortable with his behaviour.

The roast is superb here and the team are really accommodating of coeliac disease, even offering to make the plat up separately in the kitchen to try and avoid cross contamination. Evie was really attentive and looked after us really well.

We tried this Toby Carvery for breakfast and it did not disappoint. It’s been years since we’ve visited and it’s had a new look and layout, and the breakfast area was much more organised. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was kept warm (maybe not piping hot but certainly an acceptable temperature), and plentiful. The bacon and sausages were very good quality and very nicely cooked. Mushrooms also cooked nicely and not slimy! My only criticisms were the hash browns were cold and rubbery (I heard others commenting the same) and the toast machine seemed a bit slow and perhaps on a setting a touch too high. We were very happy with this breakfast and will most definitely be back.

Stopped here for breakfast on the way to Liverpool and we were so pleased we did. The staff were really friendly, the all you can eat breakfast was delicious and the unlimited tea and toast was a bonus. The restaurant is really nicely decorated inside, the toilets were pristine and we couldn’t have asked for anything better (and we can be quite fussy!). Highly recommended.

This toby has been recently been refurbished.excellent location.excellent carvery plenty of choice! Well worth going. Staff friendly and efficient. not far from premier inn North around 10 minutes.
