Food was fantastic but the service was terrible. I was a lone dinner and was made to feel an in inconvenience.

First time, we had drinks and food and I have to say by far the best we have been to in a very long time. The host was very nice and made us feel welcome and the food was fresh, hot and very tasty. If I could give six stars I would. Highly recommended and we will be back 👍

A little gem of a place down St Johns Road. Mike is the most amazing host, cook and all round entertainer! The atmosphere inside is great and the food (and the wine) is top notch. Can't wait til lockdown is over so I can get back in there!

Good pizza made by the lovely Chef. Cheeses and others delicacies complete the atmosphere. This chef is an "somelier" expert in wines by Sicilia. Fair and good prices. My family and I felt in Italy in this lovely place.

Stumbled upon this cosy little place while passing Liverpool with my girlfriend.. Best cheese & wine I ever had. This man knows how to mix 'em. What a refreshing experience that was!

Pleasant place - compact and bijou. Friendly guy behind the bar, who was very attentive. We only popped in for a drink - 1 pint of Blue Moon and a 175ml red wine £11.45, so probably won't be having all night sessions there.....

The simple menu is just perfect for this small intimate restaurant the cheese & meat board just blows you away and the fresh pizza are beautiful . Did I mention the wine ? Oh that’s worth going for on it’s own. Book in advance .

Had my birthday meal here with the family. Yes its intimate setting adds to the experience. For great fresh pizza meats and cheeses its the best

Have meant to try this place for months and it was worth the wait. Small restaurant which was full when we arrived so would recommend booking. Friendly welcome and good service all evening. Not a vast menu but still took us ages to choose our food. Shared the 8 piece sharing board, 2 pizzas and some olives between four of us washed down with some excellent red wine. We ate every scrap and thoroughly enjoyed it.Will definitely return and was interested to see some of the special discounts for midweek/ Sundays however even at full price it was good value for money.

Lovely drinks and service as usual

As a regular customer of Eataly i feel i have to speak up on the previous 3 reviews,On reading them it seems to me that they were written in conjunction with each other possibly by another jealous restaurant owner with view to sabotaging this fantastic little place who knows, but it seems a coincidence all three mention the same things and posted around the same time and obviously picked on the things people know Eataly prides itself on,...food cold??, staff rude?? Microwaved food??, drinks substandard??, i dont think so, anyone who has truly been to Eataly knows this is impossible, why you wouldnt address these issues with the management at the time i dont know, and as for listening in to conversations you would have no chance of that over music and the noise of people enjoying themselves, so if this is an attempt to ruin this fantastic, authentic little Italian restaurant you should be ashamed of yourselves, i'm sorry to all the genuine people putting reviews on trip advisor but i felt i had to speak up in defence of Eataly on this blatent attempt to undermine them

Absolutely gorgeous food! Have been several times and have never been disappointed. We dined last night and had several different pizzas and several of the small plates, all cooked from scratch and absolutely gorgeous. Clean plates all round! Staff are always lovely, especially Amy. Would highly recommend, it can get quite busy. Can sometimes be a wait for food when busy, but so worth the wait as the food is lovely. Will be back soon

We popped in for an early dinner last Saturday night, been looking forward to going for a while but came away ultimately disappointed!

Wandering into Eataly mid afternoon- peckish and fancying something to warm the soul on an ice cold day- we took our seats by the window. The owner came over and introduced herself, and gave us a copy of their new menu- now where to begin. Unfortunately I only had a few hours on my hands as I could of sat there for hours and worked my way through the entire menu.. which we very nearly did. We ordered a selection of small plates, including a small plate lasagne- a dream- oozing bubbly cheese. We got various side nibbly bits including warm breads, dough balls, a delightful bruschetta topped with talleggio cheeeesey goodness and some parma ham type thing and oooooh and a balsamicy glaze- the italians answer to a cheese and ham toastie. And of course, the pizza- hand stretched before your very eyes. Also, side note- there was a sign on the wall saying that they do pizza making sessions for children in the half terms- something which I am positive would go down a treat when you're stuck in during the miserable feb half term holidays and the kids are nagging to go out! Distract and feed is always the answer.

Been to this lovely little restaurant several times to both eat and drink in the garden out the back with a great range of Gins. The food is lovely especially the meat and cheese boards.

So disappointed after reading such good reviews. Just home after early evening meal with family to celebrate nieces birthday. Service dreadful and haphazard, waited ages for food and when it came it was poorly presented and mediocre to say least and they forgot one order which we cancelled as couldn’t stay any longer Table was never cleared when more food arrived and only one waitress. Given wrong bill, when got correct bill told they had deducted 10% for poor service but still incorrect with items we hadn’t had. Also really cold all night and they had to open door as smoke from pizza oven was making people’s eyes water, not great when it is zero degrees outside. Won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend it. Sorry Eataly.

This was my 2nd visit to Eataly and cant wait to go back. All the food was outstanding and the 2 for £10 Gins & cocktails went down a treat!

Amazing little lunch here today with friends. The restaurant has recently reopened after a little refurb for more seats and is lovely as ever!

Visited here today, on Boxing Day just on the off chance. We were walking past and stopped to look at the menu and decided togiveit a try. They do a great deal Mon-Thurs offering a full size pizza or sandwich and a soft drink for £5. We had olives and bruschetta to share as starters plus a bit drink each. Myself and my son ordered a pepperoni pizza each and my husband ordered a sandwich. Food was delicious, very fresh and huge portions. They serve pizza, lasagne, sandwiches, calzone etc. Eatily is very comfortable and cosy with really nice decor. It's very small seating I think around 20 people at capacity. It was full during the time we were there with a party of about 10 people arriving at one point. It doesn't feel in any way cramped though. I notice they offer make your own pizza for kids and you cancaldo hire the venue. For 2 pizzas a sandwich, 2 tea's, a coffee, a coke, a water and bruschetta and olives, it came to just over £22 which is fantastic value. We will definitely be back.

Dined here a few times, lovely welcoming and family orientated. Well presented tasty food. Chairs a bit hard but made up for with warm hospitality.

This little place has a real good atmosphere and the service was superb! We had bread, olives and garlic bread with cheese to start which was really good. Everyone had a different pizza but i ordered the pancetta and blue cheese salad, i asked for parmesan as an addition. Getting a salad served on a piece of slate with finely grated parmesan all over the top and a pot of dressing is just a disaster! It went everywhere! They are not tight with the portion size so it was a struggle containing everything on the flat piece of slate. Unfortunately the dish was just bland. The pancetta could of been crispy with the salad in a bowl and shavings of parmesan. Wouldn’t stop me going back i think i just chose the wrong dish! This place really is worth a visit!

We had high hopes when we booked in for a meal at Eataly as this was our first date night since having a baby 8 months ago. Thankfully, we were not disappointed! Having read reviews online, we knew it was essential to book as it quickly fills up. As we arrived we felt a bit daft for booking as we were the first table in, however within five minutes the restaurant had filled up - all of them were walk-ins. Definitely book in advance to avoid disappointment.

This place was recommended to us by friends, and if we didn't know where it was we would probably have walked passed it.

Been in twice staff are amazing and attentive. Food is brilliant and the prices aren’t bad, definitely recommend if you’re in Waterloo.

Visited eataly with my husband, son and his girlfriend we had cocktails and wine with the fabulous charcuterie board and a salad and pizzettas. Staff were very friendly and helpful when choosing cheeses and meats all food was fresh and delicious! This little place has a lovely friendly welcoming atmosphere and I would certainly recommend it ! We will definitely be back

Located just a 5 minute walk from where I live, Eataly is a little gem! I’ve been a few times for drinks and the staff couldn’t be any more helpful. We even got little tasters of the desserts once as a compliment to our drinks which were very tasty - tiramisu and a lemon cheesecake, to die for! The place itself is nice and clean, lots to look at inside as talking points and there are seats outside if weather permits. (They have the best limoncello as well!) This area in Waterloo needed a decent Italian and Eataly came at just the right time. Long may they reign on St John’s Road :)

I’d been looking forward to visiting Eataly for a week weeks before I finally did and it didn’t disappoint. They say the best things come is small packages and this cute little venue definitely fits. Gorgeous interior with a friendly relaxed atmosphere and the food is amazing too. The pizzas are light but tasty and the cheese & meat platters taste as good as they look. We also got a bargain with the 50% food Sunday offer!! Oh and the cocktail menu isn’t too shabby either :)

Lovely place to go for a few drinks and food in Waterloo - friendly staff and reasonably priced. We will visit again and will definitely recommend Eataly to others.

A small but cosy place that is great for a bite to eat but a good selection of drinks too. Perfect for a nice meal or some drinks with good offers on properly made cocktails and some authentic Italian style boards. Would definitely recommend!

Went for a late lunch on our way home from town. Had a lovely time with great service, decent drinks and very good pizzas. Think we ordered a little bit too much do took a pizza home in a takeaway box !! Will be coming back very soon

Small homely place, staff very friendly and explained what was on the menu. The smell from the pizzas was wonderful and the salami was probably the best I have ever had. We will certainly go back there.

First time visiting eataly. Definitely won't be the last. Booked in advance, Friday night. Very warm welcome. Drinks order taken quickly and then help with the menu. We ordered pizza, salad and cheese board, delicious. Cocktails 2 for £10. Great value for money. Great service. Friendly and welcoming waiting staff. We live local, so we'll be returning soon .

First time at eataly. Lovely comfortable venue. We live local and always love trying somewhere nearby. South road and coronation road have some great places to eat and so pleased this has opened in St. John’s road and doing so well! I think a few more little different restaurants should start opening and would make st johns road a great place to venture out for a nice meal or drinks! We had pizza and a sharing board of cheeses, meats and breads washed down with a bottle of red and couple of vodkas - really lovely food. I’m going to take my Mum there at the weekend for lunch and a glass of wine.

Very tasty Calzone and sides, Peroni slightly over priced but staff very friendly and attentive, good value for money over all though.

Gorgeous little Italian wine/ deli place on St John’s road.

Overindulgence is usually the theme of any half term for us but, this May, we have all been relatively unwell so, as our malaise finally ebbed away, Red and I were feeling fighting foodie fit rather than gout-ridden and bloated. In such positive spirits, and following a tip off from an old friend, the Silver Fox, we headed to St John's Road for a bite of lunch. Those familiar with the Crosby / Waterloo area will know that following a lengthy retail decline over the past 15 years, there are now clear signs of growth and green shoots. Though South Road has maintained a relatively strong food scene, it is now heartening to see College Road, Coronation Road and St John's Road joining the party.

Visited with my 4 year old and few friends. Excellent food, excellent service and highly recommended. My daughter absolutely loved making her own pizza and cannot wait to go back. 5/5

I came here last night with some of my girlfriend's, we were really impressed. It's a real cute atmospheric Italian wine bar. The food was amazing! We had pizzettes, garlic bread, a cheese board and meat board, loved it all! The drinks offers are really good value, 2 gins for £10 or 2 cocktails for £10 Lovely selection of Italian red wines too The staff were lovely and didn't rush us at all and we stayed til near closing. We will definitely be back!

We visited as a family of four with our two little girls, the restaurant staff were lovely with the kids and the food was perfect. It was our elsest’s birthday tea and she had chosen the restaurant after being given the choice of three in the area. She was pleased with her choice haha, The girls even got to make their own pizza and they enjoyed eating it just as much as they enjoyed eating it. Wonderful selection of drinks too!

Thoroughly recommended in all respects. Atmosphere, staff, food and drink top notch. The cocktails are interesting and great value at 2 for £10. Antipasti platter as good as any I have had in Italy and includes local produce for variety and individuality.

We visited here as a party of six for food and cocktails last night. What a great place! We ordered cocktails (2 for £10) and they were up there with the best. One of us asked for a dark rum and coke and the waiter came back with a bottle for our friend to try it first. We all ordered pizzas which were absolutely delicious. I saw other diners with the deli boards and they too looked fantastic. Service was attentive but not overpowering. We will definitely be back!

Having recently moved to the area from South Liverpool we were concerned that the bohemian places that we left behind would be missing however with Eataly we now have one very close to home.

Last Thursday my friend and I went for lunch. It was close to her home and recently opened, so we decided to give it a try.

Eataly is fabulous. Such a great atmosphere. We went for the first time last night to celebrate our anniversary and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious-good portions and so fairly priced. Best garlic bread and pizza we've had in a long time. Also had a cheese board which was scrumptious. The staff were so friendly and service was excellent. We will definitely be going back. So lucky to have this lil taste of Italy on our doorstep.

Nice cosy atmosphere, fantastic friendly staff. Owner, Amy, is very knowledgeable and more than happy to help with the selections on the menu. We picked a few meats and cheeses to make up our selection and had it as a starter with a pizza for a main course and it was more than enough. The prices are very reasonable and we'll definitely be coming back again.
