Good selection of real ales in a cosy wood panelled and upholstered environment, which belies its micropub status: feels like it has been an old fashioned pub for decades!

Called in for a few ipa s & a portion of spicy nuts . Nice atmosphere & surroundings .

Staff are very polite and knowledgeable. Friendly welcome and decent range of ales.

A proper pub. No telly's, no music, great beer and good conversation. Not cool hip and groovy and a generous shortage of trendy beards and silly haircuts.

Special place, try the Erdinger on draught , it blows yer socks off !

Visited here on Friday with two friends of mine.with my wife being from Darlo I've visited Number twenty 2 alot. Great pub and great staff.👍🍻

Just had food and beer here. First time visit, won't be the last. Excellent choice of real ales and good basic food well cooked and well presented. Lovely staff as well. A good sandwich and 4 pints for £23. Great value! I'll be back.

It hasn't changed. Still the same vibrant place with fabulous beer. It's only open until 10 pm. Though I guess that's more a sign of the times than an enforced curfew.

Excellent! Great hand pulled beer and lagers, great atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming. The food is good but slightly on the expensive side for what you get in my opinion but that's the only thing I can criticise.

The place is spot on for a relaxed friendly atmosphere with no loud music - you can actually have a conversation, such a variety of ales and drinks.

Enjoyed a good pint, whilst the wine was also good and reasonably price. Busy, so couldn't get a seat, but had fun anyway.

Good real ale pub.. Demure atmosphere. Not cheap. But some fine ales. Not a great amount of seating. They also do lunches

My 'go to' meeting pub when in Darlington. Always a few real ales on including local ales from the Village Brewery. Plenty of other quality drink choices for those who don't drink cask. Always a decent crowd in here too.

My favourite ale house in the whole land! i always make a special trip to 22 when I'm in Darlington. The ale is exceptionally well curated and served.

Lovely gem of a place! Endless selection of drinks and had a lovely side of chunky chips...went down a treat. Highly recommend.

Met some friends from up North for a couple of beers on a Thursday pm. Great place to meet and with some nice beers and lagers to enjoy while doing so. Not sure why the prices need to be so high though.

Great range of real ales & other drinks in this friendly, atmospheric pub. Pity they don't do the food menu all day otherwise this would have been a five star review.

Great bar. Wide selection of ales, beers, lagers, pilsners... wine. Dog friendly. Not frequented by groups of youths, but usually 30+. Not lots of seats, but standing room is good too. You’ll nearly always meet someone you know in here.

Love this pub and try to visit when I'm in Darlington. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

As always best beer and atmosphere

Popped in on a Wednesday night prior to going for a meal. Was not too crowded and was easy to get to the bar which can be a concern in here as there are a lot of regular bar hoggers who seem put out when you have to reach over them to get your drink or change.Beers were as good as ever though.

My wife and I just love coming to this pub and in our opinion this is the best bar in the townMine host Ralph Wilkinson always has a tremendous selection of beers on tap and there is a variety of gins and wines is also availableThe market is definitely for the middle-aged silver and grey pound but it is a lovely spot with a very lively atmosphere and there’s always somebody to meet every time you goI’m really looking forward to my next visit

Best pub in the area. Many pubs in Darlington but this is the best. Customers from 18 to their 70's are attracted - the varieties of craft beer being one of the many reasons.

The one who served us knows a lot about their products and recommended some good beer. I like their selection. The place is easy going
