Everything on the menu is delicious and delivered hot and fresh. Very accommodating with vegetarian options too. Love it!

Ordered chicken pad Thai that ought to have contained cashews, mushrooms, vegetables, peppers, onion! It was awful ! Only heaps of pasta and minimal chicken , that was it! Spoilt our eve , wouldn’t do it again !

We use simply Thai always and have never had a problem. Our Red Thai chicken curry arrived tonight and smelt like off chicken, it made the entire house smell. (Like old wee). We rang and explained to the owner that we never complain and we always use their services often, but today the Thai curry smelt too bad to eat, we offered for him to come and smell the curry and he said it’s not an excuse but something about a new delivery of chicken? So he came out with a new curry he checked/smelt the curry said there was absolutely nothing wrong (which couldn’t be right because it smelt horrific) he then preceded to swear at my sister , told us our address had complained multiple times (which we haven’t) and not to order again as we are blacklisted. What lovely service before Christmas….

Masses of choice. Veggie won ton soup was AWESOME. Great food, flavoursome, large portions, decent price, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We have used this splendid take away on numerous occasions and have always been very impressed with all the meals. Last Saturday we ordered lunch for thirty family members at our reunion. It was ready and piping hot at the time agreed. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and have requested that we do the same for our next reunion. The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient. We can’t fault it at all.

Great selection of Thai cusine, which is always fresh and does not leave you feeling bloated and thirsty. I am working my way through their menu and mostly it has been amazing. Prices good value - had to collect last night as there was a issue with their drivern but it was not an issue. Can recommend.

I've been using this takeaway for a few years, but moreso in the last 6 months since lockdown and I have never once had a bad meal. I only tried it the first time as the takeaway I used to use was closed once but I've never looked back since! The food is always delicious and you can tell it's all freshly made with good quality ingredients. The portion sizes are excellent and it still tastes good the next day (we always ending up ordering too much as it's all so good!) Even opting for delivery now rather than collection the food is always still piping hot! The staff are really friendly and happy to make recommendations if you're not quite sure what you want, and if you need to alter a dish slightly because of allergies/fussy eaters they are happy to accommodate

Amazing food, top service, especially during this uncertain time. We have had this takeaway a few times over the last few years and I can honestly say we’ve never been disappointed. Great flavours and the portions are really good; I always look forward to the left overs the next day. Highly recommend!!

Amazing food as always. I have had a few takeaways from here and it’s the best Thai I have had. Delivery is always with in the time slot and hot. I have ordered it to Colchester before and it kept the heat perfect. I would highly recommend this takeaway. Also great place to collect from because you can watch them cooking your meal if you desire. Looking forward to my next Thai.

Ordered food from simply Thai, and was told it could be between 1hr 30min to 2 hrs. It came just under 2hours but was worth the wait. I probably could have got it sooner if I wanted to collect it but felt a bit lazy. The delivery driver said sorry about the wait but said they were especially busy. This in my opinion must be that a lot of people like the food, like me. One good thing is that my mates offered to pay for it next time when they visit me in a few weeks

Always five stars food . I love this place. I love the open kitchen and staff very friendly. And 45c Singapore noodles is my favorite.

I haven’t used this little gem before which had been recommended sometime ago.This was a family of 9 get togeather(my brother has a nut allergy and eats gluten free)we ordered at 6pm food arrived at 6.40 nice and hot even though we live 6 miles away,the food was complemented by everybody l personally had the chicken mussaman with coconut rice absolutely wow ! excellent pleasant staff too recommended !

Awful experience. We found a long strip of plastic in our curry. We phoned the manager and straight away he asked me to send a photo. I sent him the photo and they phoned me back. They apologised and said they “have no plastic in their kitchen”. They found it hard to believe it had come from their kitchen. They offered a refund of that one dish, we explained we wanted a full refund due to the seriousness of foreign body contamination and the risk of food poisoning. Furthermore we did not want to eat any of the food after finding this. We explained the seriousness of the situation and would complain to the EHO. He became very rude and said he doesn’t “like threats”, he became so rude and unhelpful we terminated the call. We will never return.

So this wasn't my type of food but gave it a go last year and I'm obsessed. I can barely stop myself from buying one every evening! The chicken is cooked perfectly and the sauce is out of this world. Kaeng Panang is out of this world and I never get anything different. There has been one or two times where it has come with veg after I have requested without but it's easily picked out and the amount of times I have ordered this hardly compares! There is also a large amount of sauce with this dish which is important to me and I couldn't fault in anyway! Lovely people too! Thank you!

Just had a delivery from Simply Thai, from start to finish the service was fantastic, we had it delivered and it was a quick efficient service, the food was extremely hot and the driver Steve was friendly, as for the food - it was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend it *****

Have used this restaurant on many occasions and often had them deliver to Wrabness. The food is great and the service superb. Delivery prompt and the meals hot.

We ordered two meals from this wonderful take away, I watched them make it fresh in their open kitchen. The place was spotless and the food exceptional. The owner should be very proud of his shop and staff.

The ingredients are fresh and that shows in the taste of the vegetables. Cooked really well and the scent of Basil was mouthwatering.

Went yet again to what is usually a decent takeaway to receive the most horrible food Ive ever had.I am no chef but it seemed to be reheated from the day before.The mushrooms were a heath hazard.Never again..

They say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. We must qualify as we have now been disappointed for the 5th time. We get different takeaways each time, never enjoy them, wait a few months, read the tripadvisor reviews, decide to try again, same result.

Rubbery chicken, about as much Thai taste as a pot noodle. Complete waste of money. Should've come home and had cheese on toast. Thai I don't think so. I feel ripped off, if I had the energy I'd take it back but I haven't so I threw it it the bin. Appreciate you were busy but I won't be back. Rice is a staple and that was poor quality. It's not rocket science......

We moved to Manningtree last year and we really hoped there would be a good Thai takeaway, and there is! We’ve ordered from here monthly and have never been disappointed with the food. Always cooked fresh, delicious flavours and always a friendly service too :-)

I have been a regular customer of Simply Thai since it opened a few years ago, and I cannot remember having a bad takeaway. Courteous staff and delicious food. My favourite is the Pad Nam Prig Paow (number 20!).

Can't fault any of the dishes. All cooked to perfection! Quick and still come out looking and tasting the same everytime with no faults.

I have ordered takeaway from Simply Thai on four occasions, each time the food has been consistency tasty and delicious. I especially love the Pad Kra Prow, spicy and full of flavour.

Best takeaway in a country mile. This is very popular and deservedly so. The chefs all appear to be Thai, the food is always of a very high standard and delicious.

This is simply the nest takeaway/delivery in the area. The food is always delivered piping hot. It is cooked to perfection with vegetables just done.... not soggy. We cannot recommend this establishment more highly a1+ *****

I have always loved the food from Simply Thai and ordered in on Monday night.I received a phone call to say that there was a problem with the vegetable tempura and that they couldn't honour this on my order, not a problem, however I have still not received a refund back onto my card which I would expect them to do straight away.I am hoping they will read this and this will be sorted as the food had always been fantastic and such a difference from the normal chinese takeaway.

We was touring the area when we came across Simply Thai takeaway. Not only was the staff very helpful the food was amazing. So delicious and tasty we actually drove back after we had eaten it to let the takeaway know that it was the best Thai food we had ever eaten. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Hopefully one day we will be back in the area and will definitely call in again for another one

This take away only restaurant also delivers to the surrounding area and provides traditional tasty Thai food. Always hot and tasty this is well worth a try.

Thoroughly recommend tasty duck curry, beef stir fry and prawn toast and ribs starter. We phoned ahead and it was ready for our arrival. Polite and friendly to speak to on the telephone

We are new to Thai food and normally stick to Chinese or Indian food. The Staff at Simply Thai were very helpful suggesting dishes we may like and we were not disappointed. Excellent food and I like the way you can see your food being cooked while you wait. We will be returning to simply Thai next week to try more of the menu

Had several takeaways from Simply Thai, stunning quality of meals, pleasingly no MSG in any of the food which puts you off many other styles ie chinese.Interesting variety on menu. Well work a try if you fancy a healthy change

Since we've been living in Manningtree for about 5 months now, we've managed to try all the takeaways in town and this is both our favourite. Really fresh and zingy flavours, the Thai curries are especially amazing. The dishes have a proper kick of chilli if stated on the menu and will happily bump up the chilli content if you fancy the look of a mild dish but want more punch.The lady who works in the kitchen is very nice too.

Haven't lived in manningtree very long and been disappointed with other takeaways we have tried but never had a bad meal from here the food is always fresh loads of it and delivered to your door staff are always very friendly this is a great takeaway fully recommend

It's so nice to have a reliable tasty takeaway close to home. The food is great, very fresh and seriously delicious. I can recommend the tempura vegetables, prawn toast, red and green chicken curries, jasmine rice :-) The service is just as good, the lady that I've spoken to on the phone & in person is so friendly and cheerful it really makes a difference. It's nice to have a lovely well cooked takeaway closer to home. We do like a Chinese but seem to be disappointed lately with the local one. My husband has wanted to try a Thai green curry from Simply Thai but I'm not a big fan of Thai food. But I am surprised how much I enjoyed ours last night. My husband has a curry and I went for crispy chicken in a sweet and sour sauce. We shared a rice and noodles. Wasnt too greasy. Tubs filled to the top. Delicious! Great that they deliver too. Definitely will use again

Great thai food either pick up yourself or delivered to your door. Very very tasty, reasonable prices, the meal for one is great value, as with an added soup is does two of us. Highly recommended.

Very good and authentic thai food to take away. The menu is extensive and location is good, right in the centre of Manningtree. Staff are very friendly and I think they do a delivery service, although we didn't use this, we collected. Would recommend.

Have been here on many occasions when visiting the area and have always had a great takeaway, very friendly owner and staff and they will change things for you if you ask nothing is too much trouble,

In August we were staying at a local campsite a couple of miles from this takeaway. We checked delivery times and a very helpful young man took our order over the telephone. It was delivered on time in a torrential thunderstorm & downpour by a man in shirt sleeves - service above and beyond the call of duty! We eagerly tucked into our feast including the mixed starters, Phad Thai, Mussamum Curry & Red Thai Curry we had ordered - all of the food was delicious and the 3 of us were full for our £30 order. In fact it was so good we had another takeaway delivered on our last night 3 days later. Would definitely recommend.

This is a hidden gem. All of the food is freshly prepared which may mean a small wait but well worth it for the authentic food without the suspicious "ding" of a microwave in the background .The "Weeping Tiger" is especially worth the wait .

I have had many takeaways from here since moving to the area 3 years ago. Never disappointed, have had a few different dishes and all have pleased. They are always happy to accommodate and tweet the dishes (I like extra chilli's and spice in my Thai green curry for example) I have had disappointing Thai takeaways in the past but never from simply Thai. Simply authentic well cooked and delicious Thai food.

I've been meaning to try it for ages so when we had a big family meal planned we thought it would be great to get it delivered. Unfortunately we were half a mile outside their delivery area so they wouldn't do it. Disappointing as we were placing a very large order. I won't bother trying again if this is their attitude.

You really need to go all the way back to Thailand to get really great food like this. This is the best Thai takeaway I've been to in a long while! I strongly advise a visit and I promise you won't be disappointed!!

I like authentic Thai food - the first time I had food from here, it was very good - but it was English style Thai food - the next time, I asked for it to be authentic Thai - and it was as good as the real thing. Great portions, great quality.

A take away good enough to serve to friends at home. Fresh and authentic Thai food at reasonable prices. If you don't like an ingredient or want something not on the menu the friendly staff are happy to oblige.

Three of us, sat at home on a Saturday night. 'Fancy a take away. Not in the mood for pizza, fish and chips, curry. Lets give Simply Thai a go. So glad we did. The food was excellent and plentiful. We ordered the set meal for 2-3 and it could easily have fed 4. Will definitely buy from Simply Thai again.

We just ordered a Takeaway due to reading a good review on trip advisor saying "the portions where a good size/value for money" ( we have had thai elsewhere in colchester & it was very stingy so had been put off ever since ) ....Well "Simply Thai" do amazing food !!! :)Good value, Tubs where full to the brim -as they should be. Food was ready bang on time in under 20 mins.We will back very soon :)

Had a takeaway for family, my son and his family live in Brantham, was very good apart from a chicken dish was overcooked, but won,t stop me from going back, good portions good prices good service, almost all good food

Can be a bit hit and miss sometimes dishes can be to salty and greasy but other times first rate .delivery can be a bit slow specially at weekends love the tempur prawns.

The Best Thai Rice and Dishes in the Manningtree and surrounding Colchester areas.The owners and staff are genuine nice people who take pride in looking after there customers. Cant fault this Place. A little Gem in the Community for those who like greatThai food.

Thai food to match or beat anything in the area (including Kwan Thai or Ipswich/Woodbridge, my previous benchmark). Thai chef (ex-Thai-Up-At-The-Quay) cooking up the usual favourites in a compact open kitchen. Ingredient quality is strong, shaming other, inferior, oriental takeaways in the area. Seasoning is not shy-and-retiring and can be a little over-Nam Pla'd for my palate. Easily tailored upon request, however, as staff are professional, friendly and accommodating and pretty much everything is cooked to order.Takeaway only, although free (and generally rapid) delivery makes this a great choice for home-restaurant.Gets fiercely busy from 7.30pm Friday and Saturday so get your order in early.

Really good traditional Thai food. Although only a 'take-away', this place is well worth a visit. The food was excellent, as was the service. It gets very busy on Friday & Sat evenings, so order early!

Our regular take away. Great food, great people. Ask their advice, they told us with one dish they preferred pork and thought it was better than chicken. We haven't looked back since!

This is an absolutely wondeful little Thai. My girlfriend is gluten intolerant and the takeaway is very accomidating to her needs. They know their need and know what goes into it, which is more than can be said for a lot of take aways that we come across these days. The food is of a very high quality, reasonably priced and turns up quickly.

Had a dish for one tonight with veg, prawns and rice. The prawns were excellent as were the veg, but the rice was hard and dry...a little disappointed. The takeaway is very clean and the staff friendly and cooking was quick and well priced. Hope they read this as I like the place and want a better meal next time...10th Jan 2015

excellent food, the best I have had outside of Thailand. Have eaten from there on 3 occasions now and will travel from Ipswich to get it as it beats any Thai in Ipswich. The portion sizes are excellent and the pad Thai is amazing

I try & order from here once a week. I've spent quite a lot of time in Thailand & this is as good as it gets in UK. Takeaway only. It does get busy, so don't call at 7pm on Friday expecting to get yr food 10 minutes later! Its all freshly made, & being a small place they struggle to keep up with orders. That said, all it takes is abit of forethought & getting yr order in early! It is well worth the wait though!

A most excellent Thai takeaway. The food rivals that I have tasted in London. Authentic and not at all bland. Lovely fresh ingredients and very clean premises. Try the Weeping Tiger and Larb Moo.
