Went with group of 12 (4 children 8 adults) food choice is fantastic and everyone was impressed with their dishes. I can personally recommend the bucket of wings very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful overall a great pub.

Brilliant local pub near the circuit. Nice atmosphere and really well kept outdoor area. Food is relatively cheap for pubs, but the quality was outstanding. Would go again.

As a visitor of many restaurants and bars, I know a thing or two about how you should be treated as a customer, sadly The White Horse do not. It began with the fact that even though we had booked a sit down meal on a Sunday, we still had to go to the bar to order drinks but we ordered food with a waitress, could she not take both orders? Was she too lazy to bring the drinks as well as the food over? Then you visit the bar and are greeted with an egotistical baffoon who bemoans the fact that you order crisps that are not in the bar but downstairs so he has to walk down the stairs to fetch them. He even complained that I hadn’t finished my drink!! We then get onto ordering the food, as you can imagine, very excited! My brother in law orders the “all meats” option but asks for no Lamb and is told you can’t do that, he mows on and takes all 3 meats, odd one because surely you’d want them to have less meats but anyway. I then order the same all meats option and ask for no vegetables, I am allergic to carrots so didn’t want to risk it, the waitress tells me this isn’t allowed, I was quite horrified, I cannot lie that in a service based business, they are treating you like they are the customer and telling us you get what you get and you’ll be happy with it! And guess what, the stringy fatty cheap meat didn’t live up to what I can only imagine are fake reviews, what a terrible experience! You are sure as anything that we will not be bringing our family of 12 paying customers to this establishment again. My advice to the owners, sack your staff and start again, it appears they believe something is owed to them but guess what, they are simply just lazy!

The burgers are the best we have had in a very long time. Absolutely delicious, with blue cheese and crispy bacon as well as a generous side of excellent fries. The service was speedy, friendly and exceptionally helpful. A perfect pit stop after a visit to Silverstone circuit. Would highly recommend based on prices and cuisine.

We were with a large group yesterday in this very nice old Pub. The service was excellent the food and drinks were very nice and the atmosphere was superb. Er very big thank you for your hospitality.

Came here last night on a business trip of 37 people. Despite us turning up with more people than planned, the staff (especially the land lady) accommodated us perfectly. They served up a very tasty curry (of which I had 3 servings). A huge selection of beers on tap, and some very nice imported beers which I enjoyed. The decor is a very traditional British pub with exposed oak beam ceilings and a decorated to a high standard. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting some tasty food and good beers.

Lovely staff and very accommodating. Accommodated us (a large group of 30+) even though we came with extra people and even made extra food for all of us to have something to eat. The food was lovely and the drinks were great. Very welcoming and friendly too.

Joanna and Diane were very welcoming and very friendly. We live in the village and have avoided the pub for a few years since our last visit was so dire but we can safely say that this is definatley not the case now. We decided to do the steak night which was 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £30. Well I can tell you it was the most delicious steak I have had in a long time and the value can not be beaten so we have booked to try out their Sunday lunch and I'm sure by the steak night results, we will not be disappointed. So glad to see the pub where it should be again!. P

Lovely convenient pub a few minutes from Silverstone circuit , not a huge menu but what we had was very nice , all service is controlled with minimal waiting time 👌

Been here about 4 times over the past 2 months and will keep going back!!The food has always been great and the staff are nice and friendly, plenty of seating outside and the pub itself is spacious and clean. Totally recommend the Southern Fried Chicken Burger from the menu, spot on!!

My husband and son had burgers and fries.Both of them said there food was very tasty.I had the veggie chillie which was lovely, my only complaint was it could of had a bit more sauces on it.That being said it was tasty and the rice was cooked to perfection.We last ate here few years ago and would recommend this to others.The only down side is the menu is limited compared to other visits.How ever I assume that’s due to Covid.

We came here a couple of times over the course of a long weekend. To be fair to the pub it was the Grand Prix weekend so it was very busy, but you would hope that they would have anticipated that. We had to order via an app, which then stopped working. The staff took orders manually, but that left a 45 minute wait between ordering and drinks appearing. We could see many people giving up and leaving because of the long wait. It really didn’t help that the staff were starting to get a bit frustrated with each other which boiled over into the way that they spoke to the customers, in one case in such a rude manner that we decided to leave instead of ordering more drinks. There was also a worrying lack of social distancing within areas such as the toilets, despite the fact that this was before the end of Covid restrictions. We’ve been coming here for a number of years, but I think we’ll give it a miss for a while.

We phoned at 6pm to book a table at 8.15pm ‘for food’ to arrive and be told in a very rude manner that ‘chef is running behind and no more orders being taken’.Really poor. A phone call would have gone a long way and saved us a drive over and walking out hungry ….. as opposed to just a shrug of the shoulders. Won’t return

Great service - called late yesterday to book a table for lunch today as we were working at the church over the road. The man I spoke to was very accommodating with my uncertainty on arrival time! The team had considered where to seat us giving a perfect view of the guests and then the bride arriving! Much appreciated! We both had burgers - they were delicious and well presented!Staff all polite and we felt like good Covid precautions were in place. We’d definitely come back! Thank you!

We have been visiting the pub for years, always having an average meal and service. Since reopening inside, in May after lockdown 3.0 the pub has turned a corner. The service was fantastic, lovely staff, super friendly and efficient. The food came in a good time and the burgers were delicious! We stayed for several drinks including lots of the the local gins and had a fantastic evening. So glad the pub has upped its game.

I have recently moved to Silverstone with my mum and we ordered from The White Horse. It was amazing the service over the phone and on delivery was great very polite and helpful. The gentleman over the phone read out the whole menu on the phone because my mum couldn’t find it online (she’s bad at phones ). The food was exceptional!! My mum had hunter’s chicken and I had a veggi burger and I would strongly recommend!! The food came hot and the packaging was really well put together!! We loved it so much we ordered again the following week. 100% recommend! They have done an amazing job providing this delivery service through this pandemic.

We were visiting the area to go to Bletchley Park and fancied a pub dinner afterwards - we found the white horse as it was open on a Monday and had good reviews. We happened to book the night of the pub quiz - we took part and it was so much fun! The quiz itself was one of the best we've ever done and the host had great charisma. We came second and won a lovely bottle of NZ sauvignon. Our food and the service was also excellent. Would definitely return if in the are and recommend.

We called in after a walk around Silverstone and Abthorpe with our walking group. One of our friends has a dog which was welcomed by the friendly staff. We enjoyed the lunchtime meals and we all thought that they were excellent, with a wide choice, and good value. The service and the Covid-19 arrangements were all excellent. Very difficult to fault anything today and we would definitely recommend going to this pub, it was our first time but definitely not the last.

A cosy village pub. Food is Ok but nothing special and slightly on the expensive side considering what you get.

Had an excellent meal with some W.I. friends tonight. The staff were so polite and helpful and we felt so safe in the upstairs room. Covid precautions were evident but not overbearing. The food and drinks were excellent and so was the service.In these difficult times we appreciated being able to be with friends in a safe environment. Well done, White Horse - really proud to have you in the village to serve us!

Downloaded the take away menu and decided to give it a go. First disappointment: most of the items on the take away menu were not available.Ended up ordering 3 burgers with skin on fries, paid by card only to find the items cost more than the menu advertises. (£11.50 per burger rather than the £9 as advertised). By then too late as payment had been made. Collected food, got home and found meal was not as advertised. Skin on fries had turned into cheap skinny fries. Overall not a great experience and one that wont be repeated.

Staff went out of their way to accommodate our party for a family meal. Food was great and service still great even although we were at the other side of the building to most of the other diners! Sure the place will only improve again once the refurb is complete.

We called by while cycling just after the pub reopened. The kitchen was still being prepared so no food was available. Seeing our plight the staff prepared three excellent picnic boxes which we enjoyed in the garden. Many Thanks.

My husband and I live in Silverstone, and while on our daily walk due to us both working from home, because of covid 19. We noticed that our local pub did take out, so we thought we would try it. We both had fish and chips with mushy peas at £9 each, we thought it was very reasonable. OMG it was absolutely delicious well worth every penny, and delivered to us with a friendly face. We wanted to support our local businesses in this time of unrest and uncertainty. I wanted to post this so more of our villagers will support the White Horse. Hopefully they will come out of this unscathed. So please make sure you order a take out with them. Well done as always.

I came here for lunch with my wife in March 2020. We ordered off the lunch menu 2 courses for £8.95. It was a Friday lunch time and the pub wasn’t very busy with only half the tables being occupied. This was my first time in the pub and it seems to be a locals pub where the staff and customers are all on first name terms. When I went to order the bar maid was chatting and laughing with some of the locals and then turned to me and went “yeah” which I thought was a little rude. We then had to wait 75 minutes for starter and main by which point we were getting frustrated with the time. There were only 2 members of staff on duty at the front of house, one lady seemed to be doing everything with the other having regular cigarette breaks and appearing to be rather lazy. We chased up our desert twice and after a further 30 minutes decided enough was enough and walked out. The bar maid clearly saw us walking out and didn’t seem to care at all. I can only think due to the fact this is the only pub in Silverstone, they don’t have to maintain high standards of customer service to make their business a success due to the footfall they get from the race track. This is a shame as I live in the local area and won’t be returning due to this poor experience.The food was actually pretty good but the service detracted from this and made the experience poor overall.

As my local I am disappointed in the wine options at the white horse, I was only offered a Chardonnay or a house white for a white wine option.No option for gluten free or dairy free or other allergens on menu so only go there to have a drink as not suitable for intolerances. A wider variety of drink and food would make me want to visit much more, but for now, I’ll go elsewhere.

We visited on a Wednesday evening which was "steak night" - Rump steak + a non alcoholic drink for £10 - which my husband and I both went for. We also had a shared nacho starter. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection, Really good sized portions, so much so, that we didn't have any room for dessert! We'd highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for good pub food.

Give family friendly pub. Great place to meet marshals who are willing to chat about the days racing. Great staff behind the bar and some good live entertainment. Food is well worth at try.

We had difficulty booking using their on line portal.it did not seem to acknowledge or confirm our booking . Anyway when we arrived [6 persons ] we were very well received and they found us a neat table . There is a wide selection on the menu , standard pub fare served in generous portions. Very attentive team who looked after our drinks , well done.

We are small group of petrolheads who meet each month in the White Horse at 10am and even though they are busy cleaning they always have the coffee on ready for when we arrive.

We wanted a pub or restaurant that served meals on a Sunday evening on. The white horse provided meals on a Sunday evening and very good they were too. The room we were shown was a bit cold so we asked if the radiator could be put on the reply was it was broken. We fiddled with the TRV I managed to turn it to maximum which gave us a working radiator

I came here with a friend after taking our dogs for a walk locally in the wood and wanted a dog friendly pub. What a lovely village pub with a good pint and a nice choice of ales. We both ordered the sausage and mash and although it took a while to come out of the kitchen the meal was lovely and the gloucester old spot sausages were lovely and meaty and delicious. and the portion sizes were hearty. Definitely worth popping into if your in the area.

This was the worst seafood platter I have ever eaten. Seafood platter, I expected a simple dish of fish accompanied by chips. The fish was all deep fried. There was no mention of this on the menu and it was disgusting. I would definitely not recommend this dish. Dish was 1/10. Service was good and the building is good, come but be warned it is deep fried fish and chips not a fish platter.

We popped in for lunch after a cold wet day working outside locally, we had the bacon and Brie sandwich and it was to die for staff are lovely and so friendly also dog friendly great atmosphere will be returning for sure

Having recently moved to the area . I was delighted to find such a lovely pub today (Tuesday 26th Nov).

Booked a table for two last minute. When we arrived said table was by the stairs to the function room which was very busy .... like the M25 !! The seating area was chilly and for some reason the large radiator was turned off ... sat in our coats. Ordered fish pie, vegetable lasagna and sweet potato chips. Got fish & chips, meat lasagna and the right chips. Sent the other meals back ... two out of three orders wrong ... how can that be ?? Staff did apologise but am sorry to say that it ruined the experience. Food was ok

After booking a table for Sunday lunch and not receiving any confirmation I called to query. I was told it had been received and I was all booked in. On the day we arrived to find the car park full,so we thought what a great choice we had made. On entering the pub we were told that no food would be served until 1.30 as they had a private birthday party on. We explained about the booking but got no apology so we decided to look elsewhere.Not really the way to run a business.

Unattentive staff, some burnt food, and some undercooked! The small room we were placed in to eat was damp and smelt unclean. We were so lookng forward to eating here but were very, very disappointed with all aspects of our experience. A real shame.

Had Sunday roast, Rib of beef on the bone with all the trimmings. Was amazing and great value. Staff we very good. Will be back

After reading the reviews I expected a lot more than the service and quality of the meals we received, one meal pretty much inedible and burnt , not merely charred,and the others not great, undercooked chips ,odd that no one asked if we were happy with the meals, and no apology given when told about the poor quality of the burnt meal, just the bill adjusted. Even some of the drinks seemed cheap and nasty, poor quality orange juice maybe, I suppose it was fairly cheap so you get what you pay for.

Had a family meet on Friday night . Very very busy. The service was excellent considering how busy it was . Nothing to much trouble . Food was spot on and steak cooked to perfection.

When the new owners took over they really appeared to care about turning this failing pub around. Out went the ridiculous wooden boxes with fish and chips and in came food which seemed very mainstream pub classics. Hopeful that it would continue to improve I watched carefully. To my surprise things have actually gotten worse, the menus never change, the food is poor quality and mainly consists of pre-prepared food that's not freshly made. But worse still, I really question the hygiene standards, everything from the menus, cutlery, lipstick covered glasses, tables, chairs and toilets are filthy and that's not mentioned the staff!

Visited on day of Racing event at Silverstone and knew would be busy from previous reviews. Booked a table for 8pm, turned up at 7 and table was ready and waiting for us. Pub was very busy, as expected, but waiters/waitresses were excellent, rushing around to ensure everyone was served as quickly as possible, but not diminishing on service. A good choice of food which was excellent.

First time visiting here and won’t be the last the food is out of this world there is so much flavour colour and it taste so fresh this has been an absolutely perfect night out

I have eaten here for several consecutive years whilst attending the Silverstone Classic event at the race circuit. Despite being very busy the staff make every effort to accommodate you. The portions are good and the menu is extensive.

We went 6pm on a Friday and it was already busy with after work drinkers. We didnt feel uncomfortable though and for a village pub it was very friendly. There was a large menu, including about 6 vegetarian options. All 5 of us had a really lovely meal and it wasnt too expensive either. Just what a pub should be!

We visited this pub all 3 evenings during MotoGP weekend, and were all impressed with all aspects - food was excellent, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble, and we felt very welcomed by staff and locals alike. The service was quick and food top notch. Great to know that the pub lived up to last years brilliant experience. We ate here Saturday 3rd August our yearly pilgrimage to the Ford Fair at Silverstone. We would like to thank the staff for their excellent customer service as always. Steve the manager was on the floor helping his team. Husband had flat Iron steak cooked to perfection. I had BLT chicken salad, best salad ever. For dessert Chocolate Fudge Fixation, wow that is the best chocolate pudding I have ever had. If you like chocolate you must have this. A great meal excellent service. Thanks again. See you next year for sure.

Went to 2019 GP at Silverstone. We were glamping and needed a few thing so popped into local village. Across from the shop was the White Horse pub so decided to drop in for a quick pint. The placed was absolutely rammed with petrol heads for the GP as you can imagine, but the staff who were very warm and friendly literally worked their socks of to keep the customers topped up with ale.

I booked a table for 7 people for the Wednesday evening before the British GP weekend, we were all meeting there as we were travelling from all over the UK so thought it would be a good idea to go and experience their steak night.

we had booked a table for three all arriving at different times. The staff welcomed us and made sure that we were comfortable and that the drinks that we needed. We had an excellent meal, enjoying the camembert starter Shared between the three of us. this was followed by lasagna, which was excellent, tagliatelle and cheese which was delicious and fish cakes which were the most tasty. Everything was served and well presented with Cheerful staff serving us all the time altogether an excellent experience.

Went to this pub as recommended as looking for a good meal from eating the junk food at the campsite and racetrack on the Friday evening. But Unfortunately, they also changed there menu for quick menu which was very limited. My husband had a pie, mash and mushy peas and I had a very dry half chicken and chips with lettuce, both on paper plates with plastic knives and forks, at £10 each, desserts where £5. Not impressed and got the feeling that this was a quick and easy money spinner. The pub was very busy. They did have a great Gin bar and beer was at a reasonable price. Compared to the campsite and race track. Don't go there thinking you will get a good meal when there is a big event at Silverstone on.

We were looking for a pub where 3 of us, from the east, south and west, could meet and be about equidistant for all of us. We decided to try the the White Horse at Silverstone but the week before the F1GP, who knows what we might encounter. Well, what a find.

5 of us visited the white horse late on a Sunday afternoon. They had run out of Sunday roast dinners but were still doing dishes from their standard menu. The welcome is one of the best I’ve experienced, happy cheerful and nothing is too much trouble. Great staff. The food is well cooked, good value and very nice. I’d definitely recommend this pub.

We chose to have our Christmas dinner here & boy were we in for a treat ! Amazing food, great atmosphere & value for money !

Have been there 3 time same date before Silverstone classic first time great food very big portions the next time not so good and last year

We came here as a family of 35 for a suprise birthday meal. Being 35 of us we preordered, makes sence. Normally the childrens meals would come out before the adults. Not this time ‍♀️ The children had tow ait atleast an extra 5-10 minutes before they got their meals. This wouldnt have been an issue if the adults had to wait but children get restless and this was abit weird. My partner ordered sticky chocolate cake for desert. You expect a nice, warm cake, which is what most people got. My partner got a cold slab of cake which was still frozen in the middle. You could not get your fork/spoon through it. We sent it back. Portions were average and I would reccomend that the waitresses get lessons on how to smile and how to be polite!

Went here for lunch and a pint and whilst it was very busy being a Saturday lunchtime managed to get a table, if it had been warmer could easily have say outside

We’ve lived in Silverstone for 15 years. But only recently have become fond of our local pub. The current way it’s run is fantastic, I can’t fault it. We come down at least once a month now for dinner. They have pie, burger and steak nights. All of which are £10 including a pint. Which is wonderful value. Food is good, fresh and hot. Service is excellent. I can’t fault it - we love it.

Was working in the area for a few days and didn’t want to eat in the hotel. Google reviews said this was ok. So thought I would give it s try.

This is our third visit, and as before we were very impressed with the food and the service. They offer classic pub grub at very reasonable prices, and the staff are welcoming and attentive. Recommended.
