Emily was absolutely fantastic, from answering the phone before my booking to serving on the meal itself. She was extremely knowledgeable on the menu (im a vegetarian on a low carb diet) and really helpful and polite throughout the whole time. I'll definitely be back soon! The only small negative was 3 out of 4 toilets were dirty. Oh and the pricings on the salads seemed a bit high.

My husband and I went for Sunday lunch the service was excellent unfortunately my husband's dinner lukewarm and mine will loot warm as well so we sent some both back they came back again the plates were red hot and you couldn't touch the plates but again the food will cold but my husband was hungry so he he stayed with his food my food went back again and I ended up having a cauliflower cheese and a few vegetables and at the end of all that the staff She Lovely got ginger air absolutely brilliant we ended up not paying for the food we got a complimentary drink and that was it much Jackie and John

Service at the bar was really poor one person serving drinks was very slow yet if you’re in the restaurant you get priority over anyone at the bar. Food was lovely but could have been hot rather than warm.

First time eating here and food was really good, our server was Maddie who was very attentive and excellent at her job, will definitely call again.

Amazing food as always. We have been here a few times and it never disappoints. Staff are always friendly and more than happy to help. Maddie served us yesterday lunchtime and she was absolutely brilliant. Such a warm and bubbly young lady.

Decent pub food and great location

Excellent venue, excellent menu, excellent service catering for all tastes and allergies . I highly recommend and will certainly revisit after they catered for a family birthday and I mean the Whole family. Thank you.

Came here with my partner and our dog. Great place for dogs! The bar area is amazing especially the back area they have. Would recommend booking a table though as at the weekend gets busy! Can’t wait to come in the summer with the large beer garden.

Maddie was amazing, she was polite, attentive and very engaged. It was my father-in-law's birthday, we had 3 young kids there and also our newborn and she made our visit perfect.

Decided on this venue today, haven't been for a while. Was not disappointed, had a lovely meal. My daughter and I chose the chicken and mushroom pie. Very tasty and full of flavour, pastry was light, presentation spot on. Service was great too, meal was with us in no time and was lovely and hot. Unfortunately we had no space for a dessert 🍰 😔

April 2024 We come every Sunday for afternoon drinks we absolutely love it here the staff are amazing very helpful and friendly and fantastic customer service it’s a lovely atmosphere from Jo and the Murrays

I booked a table for 5 on 28th February for my mother's 90th birthday, 2nd April at 1.30 pm. We arrived 10 minutes ahead of time. Although drinks were brought and the order taken promptly, despite promises from the staff, we still had not received any food at 2.40 pm. In the end we had to leave as my mother was becoming increasingky upset. A very, very poor performance from your staff.

Came to the Badgers Sett for Sunday lunch with the family on Easter Sunday. Food and service was great . Leah was friendly and helpful made sure we had everything we needed.

Sunday dinner were lovely! Fish was abit dry and the chocolate bomb wasn’t advertised as dark chocolate so that might need changing. But great service Leah 👍🏻 thank you.

Hadn't been for ages and decided to meet up with a friend for lunch. Pip and Emily were very attentive and we didn't feel hurried. Our main of belly pork was divine as were the vegetables and much reduced jus ( gravy to you and me). Fabulous meal ..all credit to the chef and the 2 young ladies serving us. It was a very pleasant place to go for a meal. The food was very tasty - a glass of wine, beetroot arancini, mushrooms on toast followed by a mini crème brûlée and double espresso. Nassir and Emily served us and were so friendly and attentive. Well done everyone.

We love coming here after a dog walk for drinks and sometimes food. Food is always amazing. The beer garden is beautiful, and the bar is so cosy and dog friendly on wet days.

Mother's day. Excellent service from all staff and compliments to the cook . Despite being really busy there were smiles galore, great service, hot food and so so fresh. Our waitress was Maddie but congratulations to the pub. Really the best . Takes the pressure off and all in all well done... outstanding.

Mixed bag here when we visited on Saturday afternoon. Service was very friendly, but slow and lacking a bit of attention (e.g. menus not being brought when asked, being brought empty bottles of sauce). Food was a little bit disappointing. The chicken forestiere and pork belly were overcooked/dry, and I never thought I could ever negatively review a fish finger sandwich, but it would be impossible to have served it with less tartare sauce inside. Fillet steak and ham hock pie were nice enough. Have had significantly better pub meals at similar price points elsewhere.

Everyone enjoyed food but service was not great. We had a long wait for food having arrived at 13.00 our food did not arrive until 14.15. Waitress did say sorry to us about this. Following lunch our table was not cleared. My brother moved some of the dirty plates to a table next to where a waitress was standing but didn’t take the hint and so my brother cleared our table . We also had to go to the bar for a coffee order and then go and ask for sugar. We were very disappointed as the setting was lovely and as I said no complaints re food or menu

We enjoyed a Monday pub evening with food and drink, served by Madeline. She was really attentive, making sure everyone had an enjoyable visit - including the baby and dog. When it got chilly, Madeline added to the fireplace so we stayed toasty throughout. We always look forward to our evenings at Badgers Sett, thanks to great service like hers.

Enjoyed a Sunday roast here as part of a group of 14. We were made to feel very welcome by friendly and courteous staff (including Maddie), the food was great and delivered promptly and hot despite the size of the group. To improve the experience for large groups, the ability to order separately between family groups (but to be served together) would help avoid the whole tally-up/ bill splitting malarkey at the end of the meal. Overall we were really happy and would visit again.

Great pub with a good selection of food at a reasonable price for the high quality of the food. Atmosphere was good with multiple areas and lots of natural light. Are visit exemplified how popular the place was with it getting so busy we were slightly forgotten and did wait along time for ordering desert. However the actual service provided by Maddie was top class and would highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.
