It's a Weatherspoons. You get what you pay for - sticky carpets and slightly grubby chair seats. Smaller portions that cost more.

It's got better this year, I enjoy the pub, whereas a year ago the staff were rude.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, wonderful food, plus even when they are extremely busy, I still got my drinks in 2 minutes and food within 13 minutes, when I ordered through the app. It's a lovely location and amazing food. If you're in the area it's definitely worth a visit. Oww plus it's very reasonably priced as well.

Ordered a Jacket with 5 bean chilli, arrived and started. Could hardly find any chilli, such a shame as it tasted really good. Complained to waitress. AVOID 5 BEAN CHILLI.

Decent Weatherspoons. Cleaner than most, friendly staff, excellent value for money. You know what you get in this place, I like it.

I have to mention “George” she was amazing x funny and a great team member! She said she was leaving soon to go back home? X It’s their gain! Came down from Cardiff for a few hours and George was lovely! I did try talking to the local people but they were psychopaths x

Food and drink delivered to our table within minutes, great customer service and fab atmosphere

It's a Wetherspoon, so decent food and drinks for a great price. But it's really noisy. And I mean REALLY noisy. Like, it actually hurts your ears. So that brings down the rating 2 stars.

Only knocked the food down, as they didn't have my preferred 1st choice, but prices were cheaper than advertised, which is always a great bonus.

I give a combined 4 star for food, I had a very average, cold burger on one night, with nice sides, but a brilliantly made breakfast just two days later. Fast service, cheap prices.

Popped in for breakfast on a rainy and miserable morning. Plenty of free tables, and lots of space. Ordered food and drink on the app, and drink was brought to the table very quickly. Food came in just a few minutes. Staff were very friendly, appreciate service with a smile. Food was good, bacon cooked just like I like it.

Izzy was an amazing bartender, she gave me all the good recommendations and was extremely attentive, accommodating and all round an excellent bartender. i couldn’t ask for better service from her☺️ if you come to this weather spoons made sure you look out for her !! thank you izzy ❤️

Breakfast was great. Good value, not long to wait. Very bright & modern inside with a nice seating area outside.

Large Wetherspoons in the centre of Ross on Wye. Pleasant staff, fast service. Great value for money.

Nice breakfast but failed to deliver mushroom that had been paid for then told us after our enquiry they had run out

As spoons go this one is below average. Staff are hit and miss with degrees of politeness and service. Also the number of children left to run around unsupervised by their parents who are only interested in chatting to each other. I’m amazed an accident didn’t happen

We are on holiday here at local caravan park,come here twice in last 3 days,we were so impressed.The staff were superb,happy,nice people,especially the customer service from the tall chap with beard.The pub was clean,the best weatherspoons experience i have ever had. Thank you all staff👍👍👍

I ordered fish and chips, my friend ordered steak. The steak was a bit tough. And I liked the fish. I didn't have time to take a photo. Interesting place. Light. High ceilings. There is a balcony for smokers. We stopped by after shopping to grab some food before heading home. I think they even had a children's menu. But we didn’t take the kids with us.

Just what we needed. Breakfast served quickly and the usual good value. Great service from friendly staff.

Reasonable priced food and drink. Great selection of foods and drinks availability.

My burger and chips with onion rings was excellent and I ate every single last bit. Highly recommend.

I have visited lots of place in different cities of witherspoon but that one which I visited liked most of all. Due to design of the building inside it automatically created lighting and spacious inside, whereas the rest vice versa. It was calm and pleasant to spent time there. The one huge dissatisfaction is camera in the loo in witherspoon in Gloucester and Rose on Wye, It's illegal and destroy the human rights! Unfortunately it's up to you to visit this place or not but I wouldn't.

Ordered a large breakfast & was really looking forward to it. When it came out it looked lovely but then the bad news they had no brown sauce so spoilt the whole meal as a breakfast isn't breakfast without brown sauce in my opinion. If I had know wouldn't have bothered

Normally very decent food, ( hence the 4 stars) but our last meal there was mediocre. I had fish, which was very dried up,as was my sister-in-law's...as if it had been sat for hours after cooking. She had a small fish, I had regular,but both were miniscule. My brother and son both had curries,which were OK, but the naan breads had been placed on top of the poppadoms, so the poppadoms were soggy. The chips were fresh and crispy though! The place wasn't too busy when we went, it was Saturday lunchtime, and staff were quite quick at clearing and cleaning tables, the place was quite clean.

If you want extremely cheap drinks and food, go to a Wetherspoons, £3.09 for a pint of Guinness, how I asķ myself when other pubs charge £7, and £2 for a pint of bitter, it's mad prices, food was the normal pub stuff but great quality and flippin cheap, wherever I go I'll be looking out for a Wetherspoons..brilliant..

Loved this place. 3 breakfasts for under 10pounds. Staff on top of everything plus a chill atmosphere. Came for dinner also we liked it so much.

Had several breakfast there lately every time you have to ask for it to be hot your told watch the plate because its hot that would be the first the staff need good shake up the service has gone down hill and breakfast always cold Brian.

This place is epic definitely worth coming in might be my new favorite bar and food place yet for the local town. Come on by if you're in the mood for a relaxed atmosphere. Plus not to crowded if your from out of town and visiting stop by for a drink cause they got plenty to choes from especially from the tap.

Food was cold. Mash lumpy. Gravy for pudding served in curry dish. Hardly any meat in pudding. Poor all round.

Ridiculously slow service. Had to chase to be served a cold breakfast with no eggs and no explanation. NOT recommended.

We are a group of six pensioners and we meet here every Thu. The staff are always excellent. The newest one is a locely Latvian lady called Liga, she is friendly and efficient and they all make our evening very special. Thank you Thursday staff xxxxxx

Been to many Spoons over the years and can honestly say this was the worst food ever, Scampi and Chips and what looked like mushed pea soup, Hallomi salad with wilted salad, how hard can it be to serve half decent food,Shocking!

First visit to this Wetherspoon pub, nicely presented, clean and tidy. Good variety of drinks available as expected from this chain. Service was quick and efficient with friendly staff. Food was good.

Food plentiful, nicely cooked, service quick and staff pleasant.

As you know, this type of bar-restaurant is for eating and drinking at affordable prices and if you are visiting the place and want an English breakfast

Staff run off there feet. Doing an amazing job at peak time's. More staff needed. Great price's.

Pizza missing ingredients server seemed uninteresting. Chips were cold and obviously cooked some time ago. Presentation poor. Had to clean table ourselves. Can't recommend.

Ordered food which out of 8 of us 6 got their food and two didn’t they finally got their food by the time we had finished ours. The cooks were walking around the dining area with chef whites that looked like they had not been washed for a long time. Won’t be going back

Great place for a good value drink and bite to eat. Really nice to sit out the back when it's warm and sunny.

Didn't have food but the beer was very good and a great price. Barman very good too.

We visited The Mail Rooms last Saturday 8th July, and ordered two breakfasts. One being the large and the other a traditional. When the traditional breakfast came out, the egg looked like it had been scraped up from the floor. This was totally un exceptable and asked for a replacement. 15 minutes later two eggs arrived on a dish. I have contacted HQ as the quality as dropped in Wetherspoons Ross on Wye.

Really nice food. Great staff and great service. Even better now it's one of the cheapest band of Wetherspoons.

Not so friendly as other JD whetherspoon we have been to.

We go to this pub every Thu between 4.30 and 7.30 We are all senior citizens. Right now we are all struggling with health problems. Tonight Meg was clearing our table and I asked her if she would be kind enough to being us some drinks, my hubby had a fall today and I have trouble walking. Meg, did not hesitate. She is kind, thoughtful and always cheerful. Thank you Meg you all take such good care of us oldies ♥️

Very disappointing, breakfast came with no beans or mushrooms. We were not told at the till. Then it was dumped i Nownfront of us with no apologies. I had to call the waitress back to be told they had no beans or mushrooms ? ? That we were given one extra hash brown, which I don't care much for. The bacon was dry like leather. Poor show.

My partner and I went for dinner in The Mail Rooms in Ross on Wye. We were welcomed by polite and courteous staff, the atmosphere was cheerful and calm. Our food was delicious of which we didn't wait long for. Thank you to all staff, our evening was very pleasant , you will most certainly see us again. The pizza and lasagne was beautiful.

I want to say how very disappointed I was when I went for lunch there. I ordered 6oz American burger and chips. I got two over cooked skinny burgers with one small skinny piece of tomato. This was served with 10 chips. My wife had a 11” pizza which came with a couple of mushrooms. Both meals were disgusting. I would never recommend Weatherspoon in Ross on wye. I can see why Weatherspoon is closing down. I felt 1 star was generous as I couldn’t give any lower. The staff also need to tidy themselves up a bit more.

Unfortunately full English and pancakes were tepid, so we didn't really enjoy it, i don't think we'll be returning, although we have had really good meals with Weatherspoons in the past.

It's a typical Spoon's, but one of the less atmospheric due to being in a fairly dull building. Service and food was cheap and reliable as usual.

This is to thank the excellent staff who serve us on a Thu afternoon 4.30 until about 7.30. Every Thursday for many years, 6 of us have been meeting in this pub. The current staff, James, Meg, Iona and later Erica are all excellent and work very hard. They make us feel so welcome, no matter how busy it is. Please let them know how much we all appreciate how they make our few hour out every week, special. It's because they are really special, kind, patient and fun.
