I stayed in this hotel this weekend just for the day room (booked with Day Use) and I WISH I had booked the night too, I didn’t want to leave! The lobby is beautiful, amenities are great, staff were friendly (and not patronising at all towards those with disabilities). The room is stunning, I’m a bit of a clean freak and usually wipe stuff down in a hotel but this room was SPOTLESS! Not an ounce of dirt or dust! Having a fridge is so helpful. The chairs and beds are comfortable, plenty of plug sockets and USB/USBC sockets. Good water pressure. Lovely selection of teas and coffees. It’s just a ten minute drive from the hydro, however the parking is not part of the hotel, maybe a half hour walk? Not bad! I’m going to go to Glasgow purely just to stay in this hotel as I didn’t feel like I had enough time to soak it all in. Highly recommend

We stayed here for the end of a honeymoon trip in October 2022. It was nice that we were able to check in hours early BUT that's about where the pros stopped with this place... Noise: The room was noisy, even the ventilation was squeaky (so much so that it was actually difficult to sleep or even watch tv). There was a loud clicking noise at random intervals that sounded like someone trying to enter the room and jolted me out of sleep, and you could hear doors slamming constantly, even neighbors plugging things into their outlets. Comfort & cleanliness: The bathroom was downright disgusting bathroom. It smelt horribly musty and had noticeable mold. Forget a deep clean, this place just need a remodel. It was outdated and the smell/mold probably won't disappear unless the materials are changed. There were plenty of carpet stains, peeling paint, and cracked drywall. Water temp inconsistent and would get ice cold mid-shower... Everything just felt generally dirty and grimy and I didn’t even want to put my bare feet on the floor. Interesting that the lobby seemed nicer and more modern compared to the room we stayed in felt dated by multiple decades. Most of the issues we had would be greatly improved by a remodel and deep cleaning. Breakfast is serve yourself, which actually seems to be the right way to go due to the high volume of people. The food was pretty mediocre at best. Eggs were overly scrambled I had to use a spoon and I found a wrapper in my orange juice ? No parking, which is fine because there’s a structure right across the street but for what you pay per night they should give you a parking pass from the hotel. The alleged “four star” rating of this hotel is an absolute joke. If you’re looking for an expensive motel 6, this is your spot. But if you’re expecting a clean room that’s not got a mildew smell and feels comfortable, run far away from this place. The alleged “four star” rating of this hotel is an absolute joke. Our stay was highly overpriced for a tired room. The reception lulls you into a false sense of security. The hotel feels fresh and clean...but the rooms are outdated. We had the pleasure of removing used earplugs from our bed! The rooms had a musty smell to them and the same used sugar packets were outside our rooms in the lobby from arrival to departure. Feels like there are short cuts in the cleaning. Although check out is 11am, the staff were knocking on us at 10am to see if we were leaving. We had one drink in the bar which was pricey. £10 for a large glass of house white. The location is good for restaurants and shops and the staff were friendly.

Just have to say this is worse hotel I have ever stayed in, ( bearing in mind I'm a builder and have stayed in rough digs) Room. Tv not working, complained to reception then after 4 times of asking someone actually came to look, could not get it working as sky box was tucked away in a cupboard next to the fridge. We asked to speak to the manager, who I have to say was very very good, she moved us to another room. Very small seaming it's meant to be executive. For the extra money it's not worth it. Went for a drink in the bar, ordered 1 pint of Becks to be told "sorry we have ran out" So I asked for a glass of wine, which was served in a brandy glass, to be told "sorry we have No wine glasses".

I stayed here when taking my son to his first football game at Ibrox along with his grandad, we had booked 2x groupon deals for 2x rooms which gave us a slightly cheaper rate but also included a bottle of prosecco which each room which was a nice Brucy bonus. When checking inn the staff were very friendly and sorted out bag drop and the man on reception gave my young lad a bag of haribo which he eagerly scoffed down. They asked if my son liked trains so we had a room up in level 10 1005/04 which had great views looking onto the tracks leading into central. After the football my son really enjoyed watching these come and go from the station while we settled in for the evening. I had to get extra sheet/bedding for the sofa bed for my son which was delivered promptly. A very nice selection of fry up or continental buffet breakfast options in the morning. I would recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time I am in Glasgow.

It's great that life is starting to return to normal given all the current restrictions. We booked a wee night away to Glasgow to one of our favourite Hotels. We were worried that after a year the hotel would be different and the staff we came to know and love would not be there. I spoke to Isabella at the front desk and she told us that everyone was still employed granted some are still on furlough. This was a great relief. We came back later and it was great to catch up with Patricia, she is the nicest person and it was great to talk to her. Obviously some off the services are still closed but that was expected. If you want a nice clean hotel close to the train station and shopping then this the one for you, give it a try. We,re looking forward to meeting up with Kevin, David, Ruumy, Nial etc on our next visit. Thanks to Patricia and Isabella for a lovely stay. Many thanks, Stevie and Lily

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in rating itself 4 stars. No idea why this place gets a 4 star rating as comparing the hotel to a upgraded Travelodge I would say the latter wins hands over. Arrived at 4:40 after parking the car in the £8 a night car park to a Que of 6 couples waiting to check in with only 2 staff on reception. After 10 mins she decides to call for help as there seems to be a problem. Two other staff arrive one of which claims to be the Manager. Everyone is told the rooms are not ready despite checking from 3pm. While waiting one couple came back down to reception saying that someone was already in that room. I complained after 35mins and was given a room. While we were getting ready the couple who were given a room with someone in it arrived in our room and went away mad. Room was poor with stains on the bathroom walls. No heating in the bathroom with cracked tiles on the floor and damaged service cupboard doors. One pillow was not very clean and had marks on it. There was a huge gap under our door as well. View was train tracks and rat infested bin area below. Complaint no.2 regarding giving out room to someone else was met with not much of a sorry. Couple who had been given our room had been trying for well over 80 mins to get a room and were now sitting in reception. Already been offered a free breakfast which was supposed to be included in room price by Booking.com but not with hotel. We now had been left with no time to eat as we were going to a show. On our return after no dinner 4 1/2 hours later we were locked out of our room probably because they would have cancelled our keys to give to someone else. Not amused ! Breakfast was a buffet style and poor with cold bacon, toasters not setup properly so either half toasted or burnt was your choice. uncleaned tables all over from previous diners. We complained 4 times in total with not much comeback. Staff huffing and puffing and given out different excuses every time to why their service was poor. Looked to me as if there was only 1 or 2 domestic staff to clean rooms therefore nothing was ready. Complaint on its way to both booking.com regarding breakfast being included but not on hotel computer and hotel for a shocking service.

I'm booked into the Jurys Hotel on Jamaica Street in Glasgow, It is a business trip, so returning from the office thought I'd give the hotel restaurant a try. I ordered a burger, what could be simpler than that and at £15.00 I thought it would be a nice burger. OH, how mistaken I was. It was a burnt cinder on a bun. The onions were nice as were the chips. My crispy black cinder had also been cut open, presumably to ensure it was burnt right through. It wasn't well done but literally a crispy cinder. I was too tired to complain and the waiting on staff where sweet, I just made a note not to order a burger again. The next night, that is last night, Tuesday 12/02/2019, I was late again and had some work to do so unwisely, as it turned out, I used the restaurant again keeping well away from the burgers I thought a chicken curry should be OK, how can they mess up a chicken curry? Well, you would be surprised. This is the first time I've had a chicken curry swimming in a lake of water, not just thin sauce but plain clear water, the poppadom wash lick a soggy chamois leather, This was also at £15.00 but was just too bad I sent it back, I was offered another choice from the menu but declined, a burnt burger, and a waterlogged curry! What another thing could I be tortured with? I gave up, left the hotel and walked down the road to McDonald's where I got a Big Mac, not what I was looking for but at less than a 3rd of the restaurant price I got something that was at least edible. So if you stay in Glasgow, Even if you are staying at the Hotel, I would seriously give the Jury's hotel restaurant a very big miss. It will spoil your stay in a wonderfully vibrant city.

I have phoned the hotel about a week & a half prior to our stay to require, the gentleman on the phone said that he would note this but couldn't guarantee & to call back on the day.

Good quality hotel in a great location. A few niggly issues like poor lighting in the room and a few things didn't work but bed was comfortable and shower as nice. I'd stay again.

Stayed here for one night over the Easter long weekend, lovely hotel, requested a room on a high floor with some good views and they did not disappoint. Was on the 9th floor overlooking the entrance to Glasgow Central with views of the Clyde and beyond to Laurieston/Gorbals. Probably the most central hotel available other than the Grand Central (which is generally more expensive) Its less than a five minute walk into Glasgow Central lower level, five minutes to St Enoch Subway station, five minutes to Buchanan Galleries. There's a Lidl, multiple pubs and a Sainsbury practically on your doorstep. Didn't try the restaurants on site but they looked really nice. Lifts are super fast any never a long wait. My only gripe was that the ventilation/air conditioning/heating system was a bit loud, but ear plugs sorted that out !

Came here for a night away to relax, have a few drinks and have a good night's sleep. Unfortunately I never got that. The room was £129 for the night, we paid £100 of that in voucher that we received as a gift. After reading other reviews I wonder if paying with points or vouchers means they give you a lower standard of room?! As soon as we walked in I was surprised at the size of the bed, it's very small for a hotel for that price, just a standard double (possibly smaller?!) the bedroom it's self is clean enough but the bathroom is not. Unfortunately the bed isn't comfy either, the mattress swallows you up and the pillows arent much better. Unfortunately we also got a room facing out onto the train station so I've barely slept due to the noise of the trains, obviously this is beyond the hotels control but I feel an upgrade in windows could improve the situation.

The hotel is relatively expensive. The rooms are more than basic - you “enjoy” every five minutes the sound of the tram. The location is close to the main station and the people being at those places. We did a tour though Scotland- everything was really great - but this hotel is a desaster. The worst of worst !!!!

I've just spent 3 days and 2 nights in the Jury's Inn on Jamaica Street in Glasgow. Ive stayed here before on business, using the training rooms and have had no complaints previously but this time I was left a little disappointed. On arrival the staff are very friendly and courteous, my room was nice, clean, plenty of towels, tea/coffee facilities and a nice big comfy bed. Unfortunately, even on the 5th floor, you're susceptible to the noises of a busy Glasgow street in the small hours but I can't hold that against the hotel as a higher floor would simply alleviate that. The conference and training rooms are perfect, which is why we've used them previously. Now, the downside. To many this may seem trivial but it's important to me, as it was to our entire group, so indulge me.. The food. Sorry Jury's but the food was awful! We were booked in from Friday to Sunday as a large group. We all arrived on Friday and gathered for dinner. When it finally arrived, I'm afraid to say many of us were left disappointed. I myself chose a chicken dish. What arrived was a slice of chicken with some haggis in the centre, a single boiled potato and 5 green beans. Now I understand al a carte but come on.. The food was also cold and some of the serving staff were less than interested in our issues and given there were 8 people at our two tables alone, we felt it was a justified complaint. Saturday lunch was no better I'm afraid. A range of small pasta dishes, where the pasta was very under cooked, or a single bbq rib, cold, and a handful of microwave standard fries, also cold. Unfortunately Saturday night dinner was no better. Let's just say I wouldn't recommend the macaroni cheese.. It was to a standard where despite our meals being prepaid for, we actually left and went out for a meal ourselves. Many of us chose not to stay for Sunday lunch so altho I've had feedback from colleagues, I'll refrain to comment as I cannot vouch personally. Overall, I like the Jury's Inn. It's central location and overall facilities suit our needs well so I'm actually disappointed to only give it 3 stars but it's purely down to the food that Im giving it a low mark. As a hotel I would absolutely recommend it to anyone, especially if you require conference or training facilities but I'd consider the bed and breakfast option and get yourself across the road to the Mint N Lime for a toastie and a pint.

Stayed here for a week earlier this month. Room was nice and cleaned every day. One night we decided to eat at the restaurant. Me and my partner ordered two different dishes. The service was quick and the waitress (a young girl with long blonde hair) was very friendly. However the food was really bland which wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't so extremely overpriced. We decided not to eat here any of the following nights. Overall was a good stay. Would definitely suggest improvement to the food!

This hotel is centrally located on Jamaica Street that is very close to both Argyle and Buchanan that are major pedestrian walks. The city overflows early in the AM and late PM and one finds visitors of every nationality strolling along. The hotel has a fine a la carte breakfast as well as a quality bar. The breakfast is included here. Three elevators (lifts to the Brits) hum along efficiently as OTIS designed them to be. Our room was small for three people and a bed that my wife and I shared was not large enough as we are both tall. For a couple ask for twin beds. I understand that there are 18 Jury's Inns in Europe, so they are popular. It is next to the Clyde River and a walk along the banks is enjoyable. We would choose Jury's Inn again on our next trip here. Be sure to have a good map for your walk in Glasgow. I took the Hop On Hop Off Bus and enjoyed the tour...even in the rain.

Staying for one night , tired , the restaurant seemed the ok option ... can't believe it was closed at 8 , but the bar was doing food . I ordered a burger at £13 ... I was hungry and ate some of it until I realised it was not very pleasant . I did not finish it . how can a you call a pressed , formed , tasteless , not sure it's meat , a burger . The chips were ok . The staff worked hard to try and make the experience a good one but the awful food could not be hidden with bonhomie !

Now whether it's because I stayed for over a year in the radisson and have only been staying in the jury's for a couple of months, I have to say I prefer it. The pretence of being rated over their rating isn't evident, the place feels relaxed and the staff are great. Room's are clean, bar is there for when you don't won't to go out, the meals are nice. Not sure if you need anything else. Take the time to be friendly with the staff coz they're brill, Leah, Ella, Kev and Stevie to name but a few. You never know Hazel may speak one day. Seriously though if you're in town I wouldn't look elsewhere.
